Personally I'd have grabbed the A-10C or the Miarage 2000 but each to their own. Next for me F/A-18C. I've got cash saved up for my funeral or an F/A-18C, whichever comes first!

I was gonna suggest the A-10C but it looks like that ship has sailed! Good choice.

Have you got permission from ED to give out the release date??!

I've got my credit card on Quick Reaction Alert waiting for the sale to start!!

ADDITION; I'd like to add that the MWS sensors also disappear during this LOD bug. Yup, as the 2 ED testers suspected it's definitely a LOD (Level of detail) issue. For those wondering what the LOD is; every model in games has different versions. As the model becomes further away from your viewpoint the game loads a lower and lower poly model. These different models are known as the LOD's. The number of poly's basically determines how well shaped your model is amongst other things. (Massive simplification there!)

To be honest it's more like devs announcing 'we're thinking of buildings this, what do you guys think?' and gauging the reception from there. Like javelina1 said so much is classified, a lot more than you would normally imagine. For example there's various systems and design information that's still classified from the English Electric Lightning, a plane from the 50's! Even when everything about an aircraft is in the public domain some manufacturers don't want their stuff being made for whatever reason in a sim. Navigating all these hoops and finding a module that has demand is harder than one would imagine.

Can I just say what an amazing piece of work you've done here. This will enable so many more people with interests in modelling to get involved in the creation of DCS additions, including myself! I hope this extension gets the updating and attention it deserves. Thank you sir for doing gods work! -
I have no good reason but I still want it!

Just to confirm you have done the following; - Put the IFCC into test and activated 5mil (or 3) piper for CCRP Consent - set the weapon to CCRP release in the profile page - use the master mode (M on keyboard) to enter CCRP mode. Here's a video of Matt Wagner doing it as well for reference - If you're doing all that correctly and it still isn't working the PEBCAK or you've corrupted a file with a mod or something. In the latter scenario reinstalling / repair module is your best bet.

Or you can just set the TGP to standby and then back to A2G mode. That boresights it too. According to an actual A-10C flight manual I found online the 'corrective action' is as follows; "Run IBIT via STAT page todetermine if fault is intermittent.Cycle TGP power." sauce - https://www.scribd.com/document/279159970/T-O-1A-10C-1-Flight-Manual-USAF-Series-a-10C-2012

Even though its a little low res in places I still think that's the best so far. Freakin awesome stuff carss! -
Whens it gonna be released on Steam is the big question for me. I'm a Steam guy so I'm stuck with the non-beta modules. The only thing stopping me from owning the Mirage is the fact it ain't on Steam.

No such thing as 'too many aircraft'! Although if an Avro Vulcan ever comes out that's the end of my buying days - I'll be flying that thing forever!
-
Can't help but echo the thoughts of some of the previous posters. Was really hoping for some 50-70% sales here - last year I picked up 4 modules in total because of good sales. This year it looks like I'll only be getting 1. My tactic is wait until the last day of the Steam Summer sale and if they're still sitting at 30% maybe get one of them. By no means am I or anyone else here ungrateful for the sale, I just feel the old ways of 70% off flash sales was a much better way of doing business.

When in game and one hits F10 to view the details of an aircraft, more specifically the speed - what measurement am I seeing? True airspeed, ground speed, indicated airspeed? Also what unit is it measured in? I've tried to get some answers through a brief google search but to no avail. I did this so I'm trynna see what I achieved! (the final speed reading was 1210) - http://i.imgur.com/xVxGWgZ.jpg

Can confirm, I get this too.

What are the most realistic modules apart from A10 and KA-50?
al531246 replied to cba's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I mean from that list of those 3, by no means is the A-10C hard to fly when in the sky! P-51 is a bugger too! -

From my own experience; Hardest to fly 1) UH-1H 2) MiG-21 3) A-10C Hardest to use systems wise 1) A-10C 2) MiG-21 3) UH-1H Most realistic Unlistable - they're all equal -
Cant fire missiles unless landing gear down ??
al531246 replied to bartdude300's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
It's got to be 1 of these 3 IMO; 1) Key binding issue (i.e. double binding like BitMaster mentioned) 2) Something is ticked in your settings that shouldn't be 3) Your game needs verifying (if you're on Steam version. I assume there's a way of doing it on the stand-alone version) Just out of interest does this bug appear in online and on single player? If you've only noticed it on 1, try running a test in online, mission editor and a training mission / in-built mission. -
Scarecrow (or anyone wanting on-point help) go watch this guy's DCS vids, he's the best for tutorials and explanations on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/user/pickinthatbanjo

The Mi-8's hard? Hard as in learning switch locations and procedures like the MiG-21 or complex-hard like the A-10C? -
I want the A-10.

As a brit I'd love to see some British aircraft included - Avro Vulcan - Tornado of some form (GR4 seems to be popular) - EA-6B (that things a beauty!)
