Looks like an unidentified airborne threat that's being tracked by both you and the AWACS - hence the square above and below. FYI that second image you posted is the SA page on a Super Hornet, not a legacy. The symbology may not be identical.

I believe the RWR will only show emitters of the selected priority mode i.e. selecting AI would only show AI emitters. Obviously if you get locked up / launched on by any threat type it will still be shown regardless of priority mode. So to answer your question it will only show friendly emitters. 'Friendly emitters' would have to be defined in the mission card tho, the ALR-67 is programmed before each sortie with such info.

OFST - Offset. I think you've all seen this mode before in the A-10C and F-14B. It separates the threats out in a circular pattern about the centre of the display. You loose threat azimuth information in doing so. PRI - Priority. It opens a sublevel menu where the buttons on the right side become from top to bottom; NORM, AI, AAA, UNK, FRND. The selected mode will be reflected in System Status Area 1 - where the "N" sits. N = NORM I = AI (Airborne Intercept - other aircraft radars) A = AAA U = UNK F = FRND The RWR display will also return back to the top level display once a mode is selected. LIM - Limited. When boxed limits the RWR to display the top 6 threats. And "L" will also appear to the right of the "N" in the centre. BIT - Built in test. ECM - This shouldn't appear unless you got to the RWR page via a specific button. If you go from the main menu to the RWR display it shouldn't appear.

HUD RWR contacts cannot be removed. This is deliberate. According to the available public information there is no way to remove the RWR display from the HUD. Even switching the RWR to OFF will not remove the contacts from the HUD (see image). If you have any documentation or aircrew which have information to the contrary do post / PM RAZBAM.

I'm assuming all the images and video(s) posted in the other thread don't count right..

The JSOW-C seeker is to improve the Pk of the weapon. It's not a moving target capability. Source - https://trace.tennessee.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?referer=&httpsredir=1&article=3174&context=utk_gradthes

No but the second generation SDB can and it's a beast!

Threat Guide - Weapon Info, RWR symbols, Images etc.
al531246 replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
This is the most comprehensive threat guide that exists for DCS right now - http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=486 -
Try dropping back to Nvidia driver ~442. There's been major performance issues mentioned in other threads with the latest drivers.
-
Try lowering the volume on the ICS volume rotary, left side horizontal panel. Short of that try this;

Be sure to save as DXT 5, not DXT 1.

On a monitor. On single player (like your video) my game is fine, silky smooth unless I'm in a super dense area. But join a multiplayer server and everything goes to sh*t. MP performance is atrocious, there's little to no optimization.

Assume one was to share information from a manual newer than 1980 and marked with a Distribution Statement A, would that still be a violation of rule 1.16?
-
I share the pain. I'm on a GTX1070 Ti and an i5-8600k and the fps is starting to reach the levels of FSX. It's noticeably below 30 on airfields and over high density areas, in the sky up high I can start to reach those desirable more desirable fps'. But the thing that's killing me is the micro-stuttering. It's the worst of any game I play right now, it's horrendous.

I've been waiting for someone to make a bug report on this. I'm experiencing the same. You lock up a guy in TWS, turn it into an STT, guide a weapon to kill the target and then return back to RWS. The center of the radars sweep will be the target's last position whilst you had him locked up.

The ALR-67 RWR has 5 tones; MA = Missile Alert = You're being locked ML = Missile Launch = There's a missile being guided towards you Special Alert = (not too sure about this one) Status Change = increase in the threat level of a threat Waterfall = New AI threat The tones in game are correct to the real aircraft. See Beamscanner's thread here for more - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=197024

Go into the DCS root folder then to Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit and open AN_ALR_SymbolsBase.lua with Notepad++. Customize the RWR symbology yourself, the default symbology has long been incorrect in DCS World.

[NOT A BUG] JDAM alignment restarts when deselected/reselected
al531246 replied to Arctander's topic in Bugs and Problems
That is exactly how both JDAM's and JSOW's function in the real jet. Rule 1.16 means I can't prove it but I assure you that's how it is IRL. -
Yes! I was just testing out the new (non-functional) MSI and thought I was going mad. I had the RWR indications on the radar attack page but the radar refused to pick them up. Glad it's not just me.

From an RAF training film, it's got a comedic vibe to it but shows exactly how and why a HAS is layed out how it is. Skip to 4:03 for the HAS section.

YES! That's what everyone with one iota of sense is saying. The F/A-18C is ED's flagship product right now. The absolute priority should be sustainment of that product / continued development. You've honestly made a fool of yourself with that statement friend.

Developer jailed in US for smuggling F-16 manuals

The Tornado GR4 can only carry GBU-12's on the belly stations. IRL it can carry everything from Mk.82's to cluster munitions to Brimstone's (Hellfire missiles basically). But alas the Tornado can't be used for it's purpose in DCS - low level strike.
