  1. Holy shit that's awesome!!
  2. I believe he's reffering to EA's biggest flop to date - Battlefield 5. Political correctness went brilliant for them didn't it... Nice casual racism you've managed to slip in there. Very cool. The argument has not been made that 'blacks shouldn't be in the game, muh white pilots only please'. The argument is that it shouldn't be a development priority because a) it adds nothing to the game and b) there are much bigger fish to fry right now. You need not bring politics into this but you tried anyway. I don't see the issue with DCS not reflecting that same racial makeup. I'm yet to see a convincing argument that would convince me otherwise.
  3. The document you're referring to is the NFM-210. I spoke to NATEC early last year about getting the NFM-210 via a Freedom of Information request. The document is unclassified but can't be sent to me because it would require an export license (I'm in the UK). If a US Citizen wants to submit a FOIA to get it here is the link - http://www.navair.navy.mil/foia/ Yep, I have these manuals. The Italian Typhoon is slightly different inside to the RAF, I can see certain displays function differently and so on. But whilst we're on the British aircraft wishlist train I would like to submit my vote for a Tornado GR.1. It's mostly declassified and used by number of European nations. It's also fast and looks good!
  4. Tranche 1 is still very much secretive. The British MoD are tighter than a ducks arse for security - they won't release anything publicly unless they really have to. For example all performance information on the Tranche 1 is classified secret - I know because I have the Typhoon aircrew documentation from the RAF. About 80% of the document is just black pages. The VEAO Typhoon was destined to fail before it got off the ground. Their supposed clearance means nothing - they will not have access to crucial performance information and systems information.
  5. Congratulations on your convincing observation that it's the current year. If only your country could win it's wars so convincingly.. Also Xilon_x, nobody here is saying female pilots don't exist. Your pushing an open door with everyone here. Our quarrel comes with making this into some sort Battlefield V style shambles. We have individuals pushing resolutely for a change which will supposedly please less than 1% of the playerbase. That's the issue.
  6. This is a false pretense peddled by virtue signalling leftists. I can't recall anyone ever playing Lara Croft Tomb Raider and quitting because they could only play as a woman. Nor do I recall anyone ever quitting Portal 2 because they could only play as a woman or a robot. It saddens me seemingly sensible people repeat these talking points without actually considering their validity.
  7. If you've got the skills you can make AI assets for DCS and submit them for the game. So if anyone fancies updating these models themselves the opportunity is there.
  8. It's quite possibly the most secretive aircraft (that we know about) in the world right now. VEAO had absolutely no chance simulating that thing.
  9. I do love the Vulcan, I really do but the chances of it becoming a FF module are slim. 2 man multicrew is a major undertaking in DCS right now. The Avro Vulcan has 5 crew. I wish the best of luck to the team that tries to make multicrew sync with a 5 man crew!
  10. That's a quote. Remember that one guys! Yes all 4 of you must be very jarred. How little I care. If gender is what's limiting the realism in DCS for you then perhaps you're playing the wrong game... For the rest of us we care about EW simulation, missile guidance algorithms, flight models, systems simulation and so on and so forth.
  11. I think material names might only be on your internal version. The current public model viewer 2 has no function to show material names.
  12. Moderation and censorship are two different things. I'm sorry but I can't find censorship a cause for humor in the same way you can.
  13. Objectively untrue but unsurprising considering your location...
  14. This is such a powerful thread. I've noticed while flying the F-15C you get an RWR notification when an enemy launches on you. BUT when flying the P-51D I get no RWR launch warning. This is obviously cultural appropriation - RWR's were invented in Africa bigots. It's time for 4th gen DCS pilots to check your privilege. It's literally the current year, you've had enough of your electromagnetic spectrum privilege.
  15. I identify as an APG-81 active electronically scanned array radar system, I demand ED make this their top priority and simulate this with complete accuracy. Any such refusal will be treated as bigotry of the highest order. It's literally the current year.
  16. That's not the RAZBAM version, he explained that it was from a private mod.
  17. Texture issue maybe? That is an interesting one.
  18. I didn't own the F/A-18C nor the Su-33 at the time so I never tested. Now that I own the F/A-18C I might give it a test with Joey's Hermes mod.
  19. I have gone to great lengths to recreate the takeoff conditions, the result is the same. Ramp incline is irrelevant, it's the beginning of the slope which causes the nose gear to fail. I think it's an ED / RAZBAM issue, not something a mod can solve. Believe me, I've tried...
  20. Take off a bit closer to the ramp. I've noticed this myself but I'm not sure much can be done about it. The collision model for the ramp is extremely smooth as it is, making it smoother would require some quantum engineering!
  21. The GR.7/9 could certainly carry it which means the AV-8B almost certainly could. However, it's not a weapon used by the US Marines or by the USA in general. Therefore I very much doubt we'll see it on the AV-8B in game and rightly so.
  22. This is exactly what happened to me last night on Blueflag except I wasn't so lucky. Having come across this thread I must say it's very disappointing to see ED turn a blind eye to this issue. Almost 7 months without comment is appalling.
  23. I tried to do it forcing the light arg in a livery. Didn't work. For anyone searching it's arg#150 for the Stennis deck lights. 0 = lights off 1 = lights on
  24. Get your AoA right and the speed will be perfect by result. If you're below glideslope - add power. If you're above - reduce power. Small adjustments go a long way. I pinched this from the IRL Hornet manual. Gives a good idea of the speed your AoA should put you at. You'll notice speed increases with weight, that's why you fly AoA and not a speed of 137. At 39,000lb, a speed of 137 knots is not gonna end well!
  25. +1
