I never bother with profiles etc for my X52 Tried a few when I first got it for Elite Dangerous and DCS but could never find a decent one I looked at making my own but I found the SST software very counter intuitive, in my opinion its easier and quicker to just open DCS and sort out control method/bindings there. A forum user here "Pikey" talked me through his X52 A10 control combo and I use that and have used Charlie Owls guides to help me with the rest of my aircrafts setups. I have them noted down in an A4 pad and even after a full reinstall of my PC an DCS it took me no more than 10 mins to fully redo my A10C controls.

They couldnt though, too many people turning up put normal operations at risk, crowd control problems etc. They stated the reason for the secrecy around her final flight was to prevent this very issue. During the official commentary it was stated that if the airfield was too busy and normal flight ops had to be curtailed they would charge the Vulcan trust a major fee, a fee which would have prohibited the flight as they just dont have that kind of money.

Just watched yesterdays stream of her final flight, found it quite fitting that Martin Withers was at the controls for her last time in the skies. I live reasonably close to the airport and could probably have gotten over there to witness some of the flight, but decided against as South Yorkshire police and Doncaster Robin Hood airport requested fans etc not to turn up.

As a child of the 70's growing up in the UK at the height of the coldwar I got to see many V bombers flying about our skies, I fell in love with the Vulcan at an early age. I got to hear that mighty howl many times at air shows and in the Lincolnshire countryside where we hollidayed a lot growing up. I even got to sit in a Vulcan when in the Air Training Corps while she was having an engine run up test, heady stuff to a 14 r old aircraft fanatic. It fills my heart with nothing but sadness that XH558 will no longer take to the skies and I have a genuine tear in my eye watching the vid. So sad that RR withdrew technical support for her but its understandable with the mounting costs of keeping her airworthy and the untold hours of stresses and strains on her airframe that she finally has to retire. I met one of her pilots some time back too, Martin Withers, some might recognise the name, for those who don't he was the pilot in XM607 who flew the Legendary Black Buck mission to bomb Stanley airfield during the Falklands war. A very slight quiet unasuming man who you can tell loves the Vulcan very very much. Farewell to the old girl, I will always remember that howl with nothing but fondness.

An excellent bunch and Im not just saying thats as I've joined up under their cadet program. Throughly pleasant bunch, well organised and very knowledgable on all aspects of the aircraft they fly. Im looking forward to learning a lot more about DCS and its modules and flying with the 42nd in many upcoming events.

Im one of those people online who refuses to sign up to this and that cos I dont want my details out there, I refuse to install bloatware progs that everyone else uses etc etc etc I've been using GFE with Nvidia drivers since it came out pretty much. I see no issue with using it. I just dl the drivers and install it all, no ifs no buts no worries. I cant see the issue many of you have using it.

X52 pinky switch not recognised

I have the very same issue, and its solvable, at least it is for me. I simply open the saitek control panel and leave it open on the desktop, once I do that my pinky switch, button 6, works fine until I exit the game and close the control panel. -

Nothing is worth me watching Ben Bloody Fogle!

Good point, here's me assuming he's referring to using it on the A10.

I think you can alter it the same way you can alter the slew rate of the Maverick. One of the OSB's of the display when on TGP will say slew and have a number next to it, I think default is 5. Use the scratchpad on the upfront controls to enter a different lower number then simply press the OSB that says slew and that will lower the speed at which the cursor moves.

I can confirm this, exactly the same happened to me, sorting out my A10C keybinds yesterday and my views went haywire. I wasnt even altering any view keys
