  1. Brightness output from the rift already simulates wearing of sun protection lens.
  2. LOL there is no standard whatsoever, modules use different philosophies to increase or decrease dials or selectors rotation. It's a real PITA and I can't wait that ED set rules for both consistency and versatility about that matter.
  3. Thanks for the info
  4. :surprise:
  5. Ok, but let's suppose the 1.x still exists when the F-14 module becomes accessible in whatever form to the public. Will it run on it ?
  6. I couldn't find the info, maybe it doesn't exist yet, but I ask anyway : Will the F-14 module be compatible with both DCS version 1.5 & 2.x or 2.x only ? I'm afraid that the 1.5 version is not cut for this module's advanced graphics.
  7. This looks very good on the outside. I have to wait for internal pictures yet, and to admit that this throttle unit seems to be the best fit for my needs.

I don't flip any FBW switches, but I reduced the axis sensitivity. That helps a lot.
  9. Why they change all lighting to green with IR filters then ? Me, as a tax payer, would gladly avoid such upgrade spending if it was that unnecessary.
  10. There is no dedicated thread for the new Su-33, so there's a bunch of bugs I've found (v1.5.7.10175): No chocks (but it has been mentioned already, like the air-brake status light) Landing lights are still on even when the landing gear is retracted, causing graphic glitches through gear's doors. (might be a general fault among other modules like the MiG-21bis) I was unable to retract the refuel probe, the command only operates the autopilot. But it retracted all by itself a few minutes later without any explanation. Maybe not a bug : I managed to loose control at high altitude and got in a vertical dive, while the aircraft was horizontal and inverted (engine flamed out in consequence). I could get off of this situation when I reached ~2000m MSL, but is it OK that the canards stood perfectly still during that kind of dive ? I think they would have been of a great help to bring back control of the aircraft much sooner. Impossible to refuel/rearm on deck, because of the movement interactions, the aircraft moves/jumps regularly a little bit, making the operator angry and stops to work. Carrier was set to maximum speed, and I think I added some wind turbulence. I want to add that I highly appreciate the added cockpit's button animations to help to check the operation state of the controllable devices.
  11. Question about the modeling technique : Does it require a lot of manual post-processing after geometry/photogrammetry acquisition ? How easier/harder it is compared to traditional manual modeling/texturing ?
  12. Thanks for the explanation. For what's next, I can't continue this discussion because #1: each gameplay experience is too different among players, #2: it goes nowhere from the start and I smell hostility now. If you want to play with words, re read my post #146 and notice the expression "as it seems" because I wasn't sure that a solo player done this alone. That should please you enough. See you in the Kaukasus sky
  13. Fly at 6000m minimum, activate jammers, launch a flare every 3 seconds, perform some zigzags in case of, destroy the buk with a Kh-25MPU, RTB. Let the manpads to the Ka-50s
  14. I presume this is an extreme case, taking a lot of time to build up with many helicopter travels. However it seems that defensive convoys are limited in number, at least for FARPs… I thought with MPUs. Tor are obviously hard to destroy without fire and forget missiles. A very well one no, but most of the time yes.
  15. Against Buks yeah you can't take a whole group in one pass, but they are very long to deploy and the effectiveness is limited in mountains due to terrain masking, if not firing at all due to some bug. Tors are easy targets. Then the AAA, unless against Shilkas, the Su-25T takes them out quite easily with Kh-25L. About the manpads, activate IR jammer, drop some flares and you are invincible. Many manpads fire and miss even at straight passive flying targets. Attack them all 1km minimum above them. Theoretically only fighters can stop a complete objective destruction against the Su-25T. That's the same as data link. You encrypt the signal (audio in that case), pass it over via radio waves then the receiver must decrypt it. Encryption/decryption process consists of the encryption key indeed AND an algorithm. That's the most sensitive part of the communication system and it differs from factions systems, so you definitely can't hear a NATO aircraft conversation with a soviet system, even tuned at the same frequency.
  16. What do you suggest against the Kh-25MPU ?
  17. Looks more like that for me : Can't resist to test by myself :D
  18. I don't think my Ka-50's radio can decrypt signals from Mirages or A-10 in reality… But suffers from "common" human behavior. Let's end that here, we're talking to our hands.
  19. :shocking: I didn't know that. Well it's an irrealistic but a very convenient feature :D
  20. Suggestion : add dynamic compression for sound signal level. That would help hearing a lot.
  21. About the radio chatting, the common frequency is good to say hello, but can we decide a channel for each side ?
  22. I still remember seeing all red objectives except the airfields (and the last FARP maybe…) were neutralized in one night. LOL, you're exaggerating. Logging off to win ?? seriously… I don't want perfect equality, and you can't deny that 4 blue fighters, 2 strikers, 2 helos against a single red fighter is not a stupid situation. THAT's the thing driving off players from the server. And who knows that such objective restriction in whatever form, something featured in common multiplayer games, wouldn't be beneficial for that campaign ? Or just put a couple of AI air dominance fighters, but that would hurt the PvP aspect wanted by the mission creator…
  23. Objective capture should really be deactivated when the player side proportion is too high, and when there is only one solo player neutralizing all the undefended objectives during the night, as it seemed to happen in the round 3 :music_whistling:
  24. Whoever is about to win or loose, this campaign is fun to play in every situation.
  25. Watermanpc just nailed it. PBR makes really awesome graphics
