  1. There is no philips fasteners on jet exteriors. But can we confirm that is a pooper excretionator ?
  2. Can you show us the layer 32 please ? :D
  3. US got Spiderman, but Russia got Spidersam I wonder if they can operate correctly in such position  Drop areas around antennas seem quite small, and land surfaces are very steep. Tried to land on the building once but it caused the destruction both of it and my helo. No chance to enhance gameplay for that kind of task ? like delivering a man with the sling who would unpack the crate without landing the transport helicopter on such crazy places ?
  4. I'd say the ram air's pressure increasing with speed reduces the energy needed for the engine to compress it afterwards, leading to less fuel consumption. Of course I'd also say that it depends on the engine designs and their best operating conditions for better efficiency.
  5. All. Especially the ones requiring carefully annotated flight plans like the F-5E and anything else lacking GPS or INS.
  6. I like a lot this progress update and I appreciate the statement about FB :D I also like the MiG-19 but I'm concerned about its limited capabilities within the current DCS environment. Can we have some new AI era fitting machines to play with ?
  7. Awesome hardcore simmer work  Next step : drag indexes Then : fuel consumption :D
  8. What an unexpected post. Not the happiest birthday for this module though…
  9. There is no pause in multiplayer. I'd like to remove that pause in singleplayer too
  10. I tried V, it works, a very promising piece of software. But I see the injection with the left eye only, the menu keeps opening and folding with the sound of the cable on my shoulder. Can open online websites only, html pages on local drive are not displayed. The mouse is not supported so the pointer arrow is movable with the joypad stick. It is very difficult to click on a calculator's buttons with it. QWERTY only is emulated and the numpad's ver num doesn't work. In the end it's not a better solution yet for my problem.
  11. Su-34
  12. But… the radar got fixed one week ago… No changelog available though. Eventually the devs will tell you to not be worried, as usual.
  13. OK, it's not Tacview's fault indeed. I intended to create an export lua script to log and process directly the data I need, so I'm actually happy to cancel it and save time if the results would no be good anyway. Meanwhile I found a simpler method just by reading the instruments. It gives crude and generic values but they do the job for flight planning.
  14. www.checksix-fr.com/downloads/falcon4/Topolo/zip/Project-21/NATOPS_FLIGHT_MANUAL-Mig-21bis.pdf found here But I personally take this addito salis grano because of the huge FM changes occurred recently. There may be significant differences with the current simulation.
  15. Picking values from the tables depending of the weight, altitudes, helicopter configuration, some coefficient applications depending on power-hungry utilized equipment, sum everything, redo if the initial weight estimation is too different… It's not rocket science but so gratifying to do it the correct way. Check the manual it's all in there. Dare to try this ? :renske: I'll check that out later. Tip found from that similar topic
  16. Yeah… the possibilities for old soviet aircraft pimping are so high that in the end in multiplayer, nobody would be satisfied with so many combinations. Gimme that GPS, gimme that radio, gimme that HUD, gimme that RWR, gimme that canopy… Here is the shortcut :D
  17. What are the victory conditions to trigger a win ? When I left the server at 11th september late evening, the map looked like this already (but the western FARP was still blue then)
  18. I would love to see that. If it's true I'd start to create a flight planner directly , and the calculator… I'm afraid that it's too simple and not accurate enough. There are too much variables to be taken in account.
  19. You can play them by opening the .miz files via the mission editor so no need to copy them.
  20. Yeah, I really need a calculator within DCS. Let's hear the hardcore simulation situation : I usually calculate the fuel amount needed for my sortie with the Mi-8, especially for multi-player tasks where I must create my flight plan from scratch every time. The trouble arrived with the VR headset preventing me to read the charts I inserted in the kneeboard inside simulation, and my real calculator without putting on and off the headset every second. A basic arithmetic calculator is sufficient but if the idea is coming true, please add some memory slots for storing values since it's very convenient due to the multiple steps required for fuel consumption calculation. :D
  21. I'm trying to study fuel consumption with the help of Tacview. Started with the most convenient module I have, the Mirage 2000, but fuel data is just not logged  Then I picked up the second most convenient module, the MiG-21bis. This time the IAS is not recorded and more critically, the AOA logged values are too different from the cockpit's instruments. I performed a record from 1° to 10°, I get -0.1° to 3.9° in Tacview. I think it's module specific with their special code routines behind the instruments but I'm asking anyway here if something can be done for Tacview in hope I can continue my research with it. DCS V1.5.7.9411
  22. I wish a changelog would be published for the MiG-21.
  23. OK but it's only a scratch to the surface, that proves my last point  I have not expressed anything specific about civilian stuff used in detriment of ultra high cost military grade equipment yet, although I think that any army would not like any soldier bringing his personal pimped rifle in lieu of the standard issue one… I only talked about ergonomics and suitability with my own navigation skills. BTW about position exchanging, you mean datalink ?
  24. These parts are laser cut. You'll need a powered grit wheel to get rid of the surface imperfections, at the risk to alter the curvature too much. I'm now totally skeptical of the ability of Virpil to perform decent work. Chinese crap is unreliable and weak, but it at least their products look like well done in appearance. Virpil clearly doesn't care about anything in their product manufacture, and totally lacks of customer respect with such obviously bad execution (may I say sabotage ?). No wonder there were faults to correct at the beginning, I can't imagine how borked the first faulty batch was :music_whistling: Virpil, you don't want the market to kill you so soon ? you know, the International market, not the little local cheesy one you're used to. I ordered nothing yet so I personally don't need excuses. I may change my mind in the future if Virpil manages to survive and get in line with quality expectations. I feel bad for such promising line-up to be a failure.
  25. I'd say it requires a well prepared and drawn flight plan on the kneeboard at best, plus many info that have to be written manually in the briefing. Otherwise it's nearly impossible to navigate by watching the instruments only. It all depends on the creator of the mission but if everything is provided, what you have to do only is to understand the logic of the deviation bar of the HSI, the rest is intuitive.
