Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System
Bogey Jammer replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
What would be even better is to push the modularity down to the button/switch (on the grip too), to let simmers to build their own perfect throttle unit  -
I would love to learn about that part of Warsaw Pact's doctrine. But I'm afraid that DCS would never implement it correctly…
-
For me, the F-14 module release date is not important. The release date of the future affordable GPU that will run it on DCS 2.5 smoothly with VR is. Meanwhile the F-14 module will be debugged and feature completed :D

Degraded Su-27 aerodynamic lift
Bogey Jammer replied to Maverick Su-35S's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
So in the end, is it possible for us mere mortals ? if no, topic closed… :( -
Voted No, Because I'm tired of the DCS community part asking to pay for anything everytime.
-
I can't remember where on the forum I read a discussion about this. But the conclusion was that the current aged look of the cockpit textures would be quite realistic after a couple of years of intensive use of such aircraft.

Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System
Bogey Jammer replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
That's a lot of push buttons  However the concept of modularity is great, I hope we'll get many choices of modules for every slot. -
Well, I didn't know about that affinity setting… I'll check that when the stable 2.5 version will come out. ;)

Please don't forget the RWR. I can live without every other planned overhauls but playing with that implementation of RWR is a torture to me.

Dude, I though it was an official report about the module…

** F-14 Road to Release + Christmas Update!! **
Bogey Jammer replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
They are at least assured to not need to graphically update the F-14 for the next 30 years… -
There is actually a misunderstanding, but it's all my fault. I wasn't pointing at any Leatherneck member, I was trying to refer to the users, the customers the players. I need to upgrade my english skills. Apologizes for giving the impression to hurt studio members' relationships. That is definitely not something I want to do. ED and the 3rds are obviously not comparable with the graveyard, I don't understand how you could interpret me that way. However it still can be the future image of the ones coming. I hope not, but past has made examples (thx to explain what happened to them btw). Again, let's wait and see what will happen to the newcomers if they ever come. Meanwhile there is no need to harass people not thinking in the positive way all the time. It is more productive to face the realities than pretend to be interested by the bright side of things only. if… speculation… sorry I'm tired of this. I wish I had the time to code a web based unified poll for wished aircraft. Anyway, if a F-16 module has to be made (perhaps one of the most iconic don't you agree ?) it would only be from a very experienced studio, surely not the job of a new third party one unless we have to wait even more years again after the production of a couple of experimental modules.

How does that feel to look back at that kind of candid wish that turns out to be unexpectedly realized ? :megalol:

Why not Algeria to your countries list?
Bogey Jammer replied to FULCRUM's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It's in ! Great work on the skins. Looking at all these assets excites dramatically the desire to get a north Africa theater ASAP. So much fun and scenario ideas are possible. -
That much ? :noexpression: Ok there is still the F-16 and Tornado in very high demand :D from your own list : *Graveyard + CoreTex Designs (Closed) + IRIS (Closed) + Kinney Interactive (Closed): + Mil-Sim-Projects (Closed): + Patriot Team (Closed): + RRG Studios (Closed / all work pass to ED). + Team VRC (Closed): I don't know if all of them came from FSX though. But sure DCS is not full of happiness and positivity no matter what. Since this was a sort of wave of casualties that has been stopped, I presume that prerequisites are much more severe before entering the DCS's third party world now. Let's wait some months to confirm how many candidates will be attracted as hoped :music_whistling: I'd also like an update about VEAO and Polychops plans. Maybe what I read about them is officially obsolete by now, or there is some kind of word play coming… I don't mix M3 and Heatblur. Maybe there is a misunderstanding here because I was talking about what want users, not studios. I may assume from your reaction that M3 is still planning to work on new jets modules which would be cool. One of the announced surprises maybe ?
-
Come on, some of the best ones from the FSX scene have already broken their necks with DCS years ago… Some current third parties are going to quit DCS. M3 is quit by the people wanting jets because M3 now is making props and will probably stick to it forever… Belsimtek, Razbam and Heatblur have appropriated the most iconic jets already… Who will have the guts to come to DCS to fill the small blanks left ?

Civil Aircraft in DCS? - A personal résumé and essay
Bogey Jammer replied to henhag's topic in Chit-Chat
I read often that civilian aircraft can only be a good thing to DCS. But it's still just speculation. Civilian aircraft are actually needed for combat scenarios, because DCS is not a large scale war simulator implying 100% military equipment yet (in other words, no dynamic campaign). How DCS can face the other historic actors is still a mystery, no one can predict a success. But I'm sure it will perform poorly for years because it's not just about the quality of aircraft modeling, but it's about the environment. Things like proper ATC, theaters, weather, multiplayer, all of this in the global form and size. Many of us will die of old age before the day when DCS will catch up with the others. -
Zius made an interesting answer, presenting me an unexpected perspective that helps me to adjust my mind. Thanks Zius. But your reaction, plus the one with the dog meme and some private feedback I got both with the F word as the main theme, just confirm that I put my finger on something you're ashamed of. I can't deny that the Yak-52 got some charm but I'm sure I'll not play with it more that 20 minutes. Why should I be proud to waste my money then? BTW there is no "i can't wait" or "I'm so excited" here so I guess I have overreacted. The modules I want are just the ones we normally expect for DCS, announced and awaited for years, and it's not just modules, but many core features that have be needed for a dozen years. I presume this way of thinking is less tolerated here… So we should be happy and think positive that ED is in serious need in money to the point to release spared old projects like this in despair. Yes, I would be glad to try DCS: blimp or DCS: cropduster for 50 bucks each, such modules are always welcome in my a… err… hangar
-
No, let me tell you exactly what the point is: ED made that out of the place module for a private customer, that's OK it's their business. ED makes it available for the public, that's OK too why not, it's a bonus move and it sounds fair depending of the price. Take note that I'm personally not interested at all by such a plane. Now the problem is this loud sound asking by perverting this context for even more out of the place modules, coming for the loudest part of this community here exposing overenthusiastic attitude reflecting their over-consuming behavior which turns out to be felt as a lack of respect. Like if everyone have to buy whatever stuff is presented to them for bogus reason (because it's the only radial… seriously …), or like if I have 200k$ to spend for the making of a module of my personal wishlist. Thank you for that stupid suggestion but please talk about the Yak-52 or keep away your WW1 fantasy elsewhere.
-
You know, there are other sims for this. It would be irresponsible to ask ED for splitting the workforce and community again while the main core is still waiting in frustration for the main raison d'être of DCS: modern jet combat. Hornet first please.
-
So we are not the main target of this product, but it's nice to make it available to the public though. The question is at what price ?
-
Is the Yak-52 related to M3 ?
-
Finally, the changelog has been updated: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185366&page=2 Thanks ! The september update mainly relates to the radar. We can recoup now.
-
That would be the most stupid way to think. There is no such thing as "shipped" because DCS is a constantly evolving platform. Even the "released" status is considered to be a joke everytime now because in fact the modules are constantly in beta. The MiG-21bis module is still buyable so it's supposed to work as intended though.
