I don't know about the Viggen, but the MiG-21 modules is still plagued with core issues from the start. They are not game breaking indeed but certainly not minor (ASP, RWR, ECM). There also was a scandal with the canopy that lasted for months. Hopefully, the mood is way better today and we can expect improvements.

My wish list? No more planes for now.

Ugra-Media doesn't talk at all. Any other suggestion ? -

Can you comment the status of NS430, Yak-52 and Normandy terrain ? -
Problem is, when most of the customers have paid already, it's over, no more money to finish the job, and people get angry, then even less money income due to lack of trust. That's why there are so many unfinished projects here. "if you don't like it, don't buy it" yeah, but no… It's not the public that makes companies' decisions. It would be better to say: "If your company can't handle oversized project, don't start it".

It's scriptable. Just needs someone with plenty of free time to do it.

Semi realistic US training progression in DCS World
Bogey Jammer replied to agathorn's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I'm not excited by yankee aircraft or methods very much, but I would gladly try to practice their pilot formation. Implementing this formation within DCS would be very challenging. Even without the complete accurate set of aircraft, It would still be extremely valuable. -
I think I'll put that quote in my signature. This kind of pointless discussion coming back every time is very annoying.

MiG-19 current issues are way more minor than Mirage's and Harrier's (except about the FM). Avionics are simple and the core features are completed. Its final development is affected by resource shifting to the other jets. I'd recommend that module for soviet old cold war enthusiasts only though.

I have the feeling there is just one true coder for all the projects, Zeus67 the manager himself. And probably the development bottleneck. Be careful it's what I feel and think only, I hope to be corrected :D

There are plenty of other simulators that renders perfectly that aircraft with a proper environment. Why make life harder to everyone here ?

Candid question : How did they manage to create skins without a skin template ?

This topic should be unstickied, closed, and buried.

DCS: F-16CM Block 50 by EDSA Discussion Thread
Bogey Jammer replied to NineLine's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
They can at least start 3D modeling, the F-16 looks beautifully finished already. Also you can add a couple of years to the real release date of the F-16, people here seem to forget that the early access will be a 30% finished product. I can't wait for it too, just to contemplate that overhype to die a couple of weeks later, just like the F-14 :P -

Cool, although I have no interest in the F-16, the good news is F-4E's development should be starting now. -

I'm not Virpil staff. Read the full official text. Don't expect to get free stuff from international market :D -
Virpil Throttle V3 - analog mini stick

well… https://virpil.com/en/blog To much unnecessary hate in this thread :music_whistling: -
Not a bad idea, pay 25€ for early access, the rest when the module is completed. Especially for Razbam products :music_whistling:

Interesting find, I have not gone that far on my side in the translation. I guess I have to process the whole document once for all before showing up again :(

Sorry I failed what ? Your antenna was designed in the 70's, although you talked about 60's tech earlier… So in the end, which sub-"version" of the SPO-10 is supposed to be modeled in DCS??? BTW can you send me a link to your manual please ? I have zero skill to navigate into the Balkan side of the Internet.

Done your homework for you. Introducing the SPO-15: Details : https://эгир.рф/pribor/stanciya-preduprezhdeniya-spo-15.html Totally different beast. Supposed to be mounted on СУ-25, СУ-27, МИГ-25, МИГ-29, МИГ-31. You obviously didn't put any effort to look at the documentation I provided. Don't trust youbite videos made by a random ignorant douchebag blindly buying junk from eBay.

Dude, are we talking about the same system ? This is what I'm talking about, the damn SPO-10 complete set installed in the MiG-21bis: The video you posted clearly deals with another system. I have no idea why the guy with his stupid irritating lazy accent said it was installed in a MiG-21. That device looks like too modern to me anyway. I also don't see any reference to your L-006LM antenna anywhere in the SPO-10 documentation. If you want to talk about antennas, the only references possible are S3M-7S for the antenna itself, and S3M-8M for the adapter, nothing else. Nowhere in the SPO-10 documentation it is mentioned that each of the 4 channels has 4 sub-channels with different sensitivities. The translation is clear enough about that. What are those 4 resistances your are talking about ? on what diagram are they ?

I don't know mate :dunno: The french auto-translation is surprisingly good. I just checked again the chapter 4. And I'm still convinced that there is nothing about radar signal strength perception. The notion of strength (term generated by the translator, may not be accurate) is about a charge inside the "automatic dipolar reflector" (4.18 ), designed to generate sort of a pulse internal signal instead of a continuous one when the radiating radar is in lock mode, only. Also there is a part about the SPO being paused while the host aircraft is emitting a pulse (4.16). The check button inside the cockpit disables that pause to test the SPO with the host aircraft's radar (4.17), which is interesting because in DCS this is not correctly modeled. Another tactical aspect is described in the case when a radar comes from an angle exciting two sensors at the same time. It is possible to visually discriminate the origin of the radar because the two lamps should lit sequentially, not perfectly synchronized, although I doubt it is possible IRL. What manual ? which chapter ? which paragraph ?

Virpil Throttle V3 - analog mini stick

In the thread about detent plate wear, some people told that they finally prefer it without the detent system  It's quite confusing, I'm interested by this throttle unit. -
Khalkhin Gol is the solution :sorcerer:

I think the first sentence is wrong, I found nothing about it in the SPO-10 manual (yet?). The MiG-21bis english pilot manual may have some issues since some dudes who can read the Polish version noticed differences in translation. About the lock-on, while the tone itself is fixed at 1000 Hz, the blip is indeed continuously flashing (non constant unlike what we have now in DCS). Note that my old SPO-10 simulator doesn't implement this. From what I understand, a blip stays on for a defined time, then the circuitry resets itself. It is immediately switched on again by constant radar emission due to the lock, but I seriously don't think there is some magic inside the SPO-10 to measure if a source is approaching. Attached to this message are a copy of the original manual found somewhere in the Interweb, plus an incomplete transcript I've made. You can use it with your favorite translation software. :book: SPO-10 Documents.zip
