  1. I'm totally against that self-destructing tendency to willing to pay even more for anything that should be initially included in the original package. DCS is already money demanding way too much. Better wait for the required optimizations. That's called vote with your wallet.
  2. Let's not dramatize too much. Even in basic form, ED will eventually get some feedback about the reliability of the critical core design they apparently want to test at highest priority. The few MP players will have to judge the whole thing later.
  3. Can be asked to you too. Until we see what ED can do with the comms system, people can just express their opinions, good or bad.
  4. Is it possible that you refer to the full throttled engine sound's sort of lack of smoothness ? It may be an artist deliberate feature to render a feel of power. Low RPM engine and analog circuit noise sound fine though so I guess the original samples are good. But the afterburner… way too deliberate…
  5. So what would be the goal then ?
  6. Standard menu call buttons also act like PTT for SRS in the same time so it's the same buttons, but I've not tested that yet in MP
  7. Weren't the internal sounds recorded from the real thing?
  8. Useless and non productive.
  9. They just had to set the radio volume higher. Foam earplug just reduce noise level.
  10. There is no room system in SRS. It's interfaced with your aircraft radio so you have to set the dedicated frequency to talk to others. It's the immersion factor that I wish ED will implement if they really want their system to be adopted. Actually it's hard to speak to people you don't know, even harder to make a group of players to fight together with stuff supposed to work better under orders and hierarchy. And even even harder to overcome the language barrier, the crappy accents (yeah like mine), and the awful sound quality.
  11. I just hope they will implement some sound enhancements like dynamic compression. SRS is great, but makes my ears to bleed out…
  12. This is one of the most exciting newsletter ever.
  13. Thanks a lot Downloading !
  14. Thanks for sharing. Very interesting documentation.
  15. Is it a fortnite forum?
  16. I leave this here for commenting: I done that some months ago, standard conditions with advanced weather model, and by reading cockpit instruments. Full lines are clean configuration, 50% fuel, dotted are full AA armed, 90% fuel. In short, if the fuel consumption was constant at any speed, the FF/TAS ratio lines would be linear I guess. Bonus, same with IAS:
  17. I also think that the last answer of the community manager caused some public damage… Hard to keep neutral after that. If the conclusion is the fact that they want to live indefinitely on money earned with unfinished products, that's it. This thread is going to be deleted in 3, 2, 1…
  18. The fact that DCS is the only credible air combat simulator on the market, VR compatible, without any competitor. DCS for the best, and for the worst.
  19. Hahaha… LOL What makes you think it may be not worth buying ? Me: the F-14A not available yet.
  20. At this rate my MiG-23 will be ready in 20 years… Not only the Harrier, but the whole Razbam's catalog is in serious need of urgent fixes to catch up, like some Mirage 2000 radar behavior internally fixed for weeks. And if we honestly look at the situation, can we definitely get a confirmation that the MiG-19 skin template will never be released ? This is really frustrating. I guess that a salt shower season is starting to fall over Razbam… Again…
  21. I guess that Razbam's opinion about you will not get things better for your personal war against them.
  22. Yeah, it's a wish I have too. Immersion level would raise dramatically with such feature, with any module.
  23. The selection was full of interesting and pertinent questions, the answers were direct to the point without useless and meaningless blah blah. Good way to interact with the community in order. Communication improved. More importantly, this is official information, easy to access compared to the scattered (sometimes unprepared) answers all over the forum. I wish we get that Q&A section very often in the future. Not necessarily every week of course.
  24. The variation is not uniform across a map. And the data changes with time (2008 charts are invalid for a 1960 scenario). The best practical and convenient way to get the variation is to compare the magnetic compass value in the cockpit to the runway "true" direction measured with the distance/direction tool in the F10 view while the aircraft is aligned for take off.
