  1. Crashed while trying to connect to Through The Inferno multiplayer server. i7-4790K @ 4.00, 16GB RAM, GTX 970M Log attached. dcs.log-20180324-160425.zip
  2. Also waiting on VKB. I need that Gunfighter MCG :joystick:
  3. This^ Nobody is forced to download an OB. Take it with the bugs or wait. That's all.
  4. Did you try adjusting the gain? RCTRL+RSHIFT+H and RALT+RSHIFT+H if I remember correct.
  5. The potential is huge once 2.5 becomes stable. Great server, lots of fun until I get a random DC. Thanks.
  6. I just went back to the test I made and it seems I was already near max. Just now I removed all weapons and some fuel so I was more than 3000kg under max. Still only 4 soldiers embarked out of a group of 10.
  7. I made a group of ten infantry to see how many I could embark. Only four would get in. Not sure what the capacity is for the Mi-8, but IRL a Lynx takes more than four so definitely needs work.
  8. Just had fantastic flight in the Mi-8 with Vladinsky and BritTorrent. We dropped troops and attacked the enemy in a village. Unfortunately, i couldn't for the life of me reply to any messages in chat (what's the key?), nor could I find the frequency selector for the R838 (I need 30.00 FM) - I had SRS running. So I never got to thank them for such a great flying experience -probably my best yet since playing DCS.
  9. We went a little OT on use of missiles and IR suppressors IRL. I'd just like confirmation that they do actually do something in DCS World. If they do work, how is it simulated? Dev? :helpsmilie:
  10. Now working in 2.5, without scripts or mods. Now we just need some better troop models and animations! :)
  11. Can someone confirm, if I have a generator failure, should I manually flick the switch for the standby generator? Or should this always be on? Will the standby generator keep me in the air?
  12. Ah Gunship 2000... Great game back in the day. Loved most things from Microprose. I'd recommend the Ka-50. It's more attack orientated, and you already have a general purpose/transport. Not to mention it was THE original DCS World module! ;-)
  13. Would be interested in the definitive answer from a dev on this. I mean, if IR suppression isn't modeled, they're just unnecessary weight.
  14. Do they actually work in the sim? Do they reduce your IR signature to AI and other players? Also, are random failures built in to the Mi-8? Could I run through my check one day, and something not be working? Thanks. Love this module BTW.
  15. I was hoping to find what they had during '92 and '93. I see some of these units arrived later in time. Thanks for posting though, it gives me something to work from.
  16. I'm trying to build a few missions based on what I've read of the Georgian Abkhazian conflict of 92 - 93. I've found some excellent information from the book Su-25 "Frogfoot" Combat Missions. Unfortunately, it doesn't go into much detail of what ground units were used by both sides. I know the Abkhazian force had T-72, BM-21 Rocket Launchers as well as later OSA and BUK SAM systems. Did either side use BMP-2 or BRDM? If not, what infantry fighting vehicles were used? What supply trucks were commonly used? What tanks did the Geogian side have? What artillery units etc. Would appreciate some insight from anyone knowledgeable on the topic or even some good links where I can find the right information for myself. My aim is to remove as much fantasy as possible when mission/campaign building.
  17. ^This!
  18. Still not clear. I already read the text you quoted but it's from an old post. I just want to know does the Su-25 still have the better flight model. Or did the T model get upgraded to the same standard over the years? (Nice bike by the way)
  19. Just curious, I was looking at an old module matrix of which aircraft had what flight model; It said the Su-25 had AFM+ whereas the Su-25T had AFM. Did the Su-25T ever get AFM+ or does the Su-25 still have an advantage? A quick search dug up posts from 2014 or so. Nothing recent. Thanks.
  20. No, it's the simulated pedals (trim) that are not centred, not my hardware. It's not dead zone related.
  21. I've got rudder trim turned off in the options. When taking off rudder re-centres correctly. After flying around a little and pulling some turns though, I find that I return my rudder pedals to centre position but on the control helper I see they're not fully centred. The only way to re-centre is to hit trim reset (which resets cyclic also). This happens with my pedals and also twist stick rudder so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I'm flying it wrong or it's a bug. Can anyone help me out with this? And will someone (for the love of all that is holy) please build a new force feedback stick? :D
  22. How can I set the presets for my R-828 radio? I play on a server that uses the Simple Radio Standalone mod and I need a frequency of 43MHz. Preset 1 is below this and Preset 2 is above this.
  23. Great server thanks. I fly Mi-8 and it's a lot of fun in this server. Just a couple of issues: Simple Radio frequency for helicopters is 43.000 MHz, however when I try to tune the R828 radio, preset 1 is below this frequency and preset 2 is above this frequency. There's no way to manually tune that I can see. I can eventually get it to 43.000 if I keep bracketing above and below and just tapping the tune button briefly (rather than letting it fully tune), but... very frustrating. Is there a way to use arc-ud for CSAR? I saw in a tutorial on the radios that arc-9 is primarily used for beacon navigation, airfields etc. and it's the arc-ud that is for search and rescue. Which channel should my R863 be on? Guard frequency? Thanks again!
