So no one was talking about FC3 planes with random fallers. Storms post was very specific on who he was talking about. And those people were anti-FC3 players. I do consider myself to be anti-FC3 due to limited fidelity. But I will retract my comment on the F-15 vs DCS F-16. I shouldn't have said no one, I should have said very few people would be flying the F-15. But my point remains the same, if the money was there, ED would be going that route. Money talks.

My $.02. I don't think the money is actually there for FC3 planes. It sounds good but I think the Majority of player want a full fidelity Module. Saying look at this server with F-15 and other FC3 planes is a bit of a misleading statement as we don't have a 4th gen full fidelity Module yet that does A2A. Basically they're all we have for now. I asure you if there was a DCS F-16 no one would be flying the F-15. As to the idea that people don't use random failures or realistic comms or tactics, you clearly haven't been looking. There are a ton of groups that do just what you are talking about. I know that cause I'm in one. We mimic as close as we can to real world procedures, tactics, and training as we possible can inside of the DCS World. As for starting of "easy" to learn, it really isn't that difficult to learn the A-10C or the M2K vs the F-15C or FC3. But I sure get a lot more of of both. I think the direction ED is going is the correct one, I believe that is where the money is driving them.

I have a US keyboard layout. I'm pretty sure that I have been holding my PTT long enough I'll double check when I get home.

It is not necessarily for JHMCS alignment. I know that because all Hornets, from A-D, had it. Pilots said it was for head alignment, which is pretty close and basically the same thing. But it's called the HUD/BRU alignment cross. BRU stands for Boresight Reference Unit.

I haven't been able to figure out my problem. I did have an installation problem but I got that fixed. But now I cannot get VA to work with either the A-10C or M2K profiles. I've double checked to make sure my PTT is set up correctly and it is. I made sure the key bindings for my HOTAS mic controls are correct and they are. I make sure that my frequencies are right and then speak the commands. I get the log to tell me the commands are correct and that it has executed the commands but DCS doesn't do anything. I make sure I say start mission and that works just fine but when I call inbound or call my wingman nothing. I turned off the pilot no voice but I don't hear him. Hence why I believe that the program is not executing what is supposed to. I need some help, I really want to use these profiles as it is way better than my simple profile I set up. I don't want to say f1, f2 all the time.

So I'm doing the day time danger close mission and all I get the first two targets destroyed and am tasked with taking out an APC with mavericks. I ensure that I'm parallel with the friendly troops and I fire off my maverick. I hit the correct target and I still some how hit blue forces. Are they moving close to the target?

I get that I can use the Night mode. I have a few times and t helps, but not much. I personally don't like night mode anyway, even at night. I prefer the green HUD. But it is still a work around no matter how you slice it, and it's something ED has acknowledged is a bug/problem. So I'm sure they will fix it but until they do I'm not going to use it at least for the A-10C during the day.

I can't use DS yet as I can see my HUD in either A-10 or MK2. It's even worse at night in the MK2 as the projector puts too much light on the HUD glass. ED needs to fix this problem.

So I'm in the 476th and we are in the beginning stages of writing a 3-3, checklist, and training documents as we speak. I would be willing to help someone learn and go over any documents that are for public use that we make.

I'm glad it will be longer. I'm hoping that we will be doing more A2A than A2G. I don't mind those but I really enjoyed the A2A missions. I'm really looking forward to this campaign. I do find it funny that all the campaigns on NTTR are red flags lol

Baltic, well done indeed. I finished the campaign yesterday and it was a ton of fun. I really enjoyed the Air to Air missions the most. Although the last mission felt awesome and I love that you let it end with a bit of a cliffhanger. Keep up the amazing work and hurry with more Mirage campaigns! I look forward to them.

Shutdown DCS and restarted looked at the ME and everything was where it should have been. Relaunched mission and everything was fine. The only thing I did differently was I didn't use the time acceleration during the INS alignment.

Restarted mission and had the same results. Not sure if it is a bug. I'm going to check the ME and see if anything is wrong.

Just an update, everything is going about 164 knots. Including Overlord. It's a bit difficult to stay in formation.

I just had the same issue with leads speed. He is traveling at 167 knots after take off. I'm plugging away and hitting the speed according to the MDC but I'll see what happens.

So the HUD issue was a known issue when 2.1.1 launched. It was part of the changlog/news that they put out when Normandy launched. DCS 2.1.0 is starting of new lineup of DCS 2.1 versions with integrated of NTTR and Normandy map together, new deferred shading and PBR features and numbers of a less major improvements. Known issues that will be fixed ASAP: The HUD indication would not be visible on the sky background in some circumstances. DCS World Introduced deferred shading and PBR. Crash on second launch of track with JTAC fixed. Scripting Engine. Weapon.getTarget() will returns correct value with SEAD weapons. LOS determination fixes, Fog Of War fixes.

I'm so glad this came out it was the one I haven't done yet.

Is there a way to get rid of the practice missions. I'm running through the missions again and I don't really want to do all the missions twice. Maybe have an option to do them?

Thanks for the rebate program but you can keep my money. You've more than earned it. Plus I want you to make these for the Hornet. If you need some VO's I'll always volunteer lol.
