As said above, the Mirage 2000C RDI only operated with Super 530D and MAGIC II missiles (IIRC it is compatible with MAGIC I also) and could only carry 4 missiles total. We can't compromise the realism of the module to be more "competitive" in multiplayer. In a period accurate environnement (late 80' and 90'), Soviet/Russian aircraft were mostly using SARH and IR guided missiles and for US aircraft, AIM-120A/B were available but only in small number and not compatible with every aircraft. In this context, the Mirage 2000C RDI is not the best aircraft available but it's still dangerous.

Hi, While the specific aircraft modeled would represent a late 2010' update IIRC, the aircraft remained mostly the same since its introduction in the late 80'. From the first Mirage 2000C with RDI radar to the current ones still flown today, only some rather minor improvements were made to the avionics (decoy launcher indicator panel, waypoint increment/decrement buttons...), NCTR was added to the radar for the Kosovo war, and the latest update in the mid 2010' was to update the cockpit for NVG use. TLDR: The aircraft can will correctly reflect the capabilities of a Mirage 2000C RDI from the late 80' up until today.

Hi, The Mirage INS cannot be aligned in flight, you would need to switch to SEC mode to the attitude information.

Hi, I suggest you take a look at the updated manual, the PRED mode for the air-to-air gun is explained there. @Snappy I thought the updated manual did a good job at explaining this function, but maybe it's not enough. The shoot incitation cue (doubled target square or coincidence triangle) is displayed when the current geometry between the aircraft should result in a hit with the guns if they were fired this instant. The system takes the speed, trajectory and load factor of both aircraft into account. Closure speed is irrelevant. The target wingspan setting affect the size of the shoot incitation cue "window". This window represents the size of the target and is used to determine if the shell will hit the target or not. This symbology is not very useful due to the nature of the CCLT symbology and the way most air-to-air guns engagements unfolds. It would really only be useful against a target pulling steady G and not maneuvering. AFAIK, this behavior is realistic.

Could you provide us a track so we can try to reproduce the issue ?

VIZ ground mapping radar mode, surface target selection.
myHelljumper replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in M-2000
Hey. You can find the answer you need in the updated manual, in the radar section. -
As said above we said that you would need to rebind controls for this update. The changelog also indicates that the firing command has changed. The manual has been updated to reflect this change too. I don't know what more we could've done to make people aware about the control change.

Are Durandal BAP-100s available on the Normandy map?
myHelljumper replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in M-2000
There should not be anything different than on any other maps. -
Are Durandal BAP-100s available on the Normandy map?
myHelljumper replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in M-2000
Hi, Durandals and BAP-100 aren't the same weapon, the mirage uses the BAP-100. They should be available on any map, are you sure you are loading them on the correct pylon ? -
Hi, The hollowed cross inside the target box indicates that there is jamming coming from the target's direction. The BROU indicates that the radar is being jammed. Those two indication are redundant in this case, but BROU is also displayed while in bar search. Yes, these indications are nor yet described in the manuel, they will be in a future release. Thanks.

Hi, I can use the radar just fine, I don't understand your issue. Could you upload a track or a short video of what you call "remanance is too short" ? The radar has been reviewed by SMEs and is quite realistic in behavior and symbology, using the RDI is hard IRL and is also hard in the sim. Thanks.

Yes you are right, this is an old RC that got included. It should be resolved in the next OB update, sorry about that.

Hi, Yes the saturation needs to be removed for the TDC-driven range switching to work. The TDC movement should also be smoother and easier now. We will see to allow reduced saturation in the future.
-
Hi, Are you on the stable or open beta version ? The update of the manual is only present in the latest open beta.
-
Hi, Thanks for the track, I'll add it to our bug tacker.

Hi, no Mirage 2000 ever had canard installed, only certain models of Mirage III got them. The Mirage III and Mirage 2000 are very different aircraft. The module simulates a Mirage 2000C with the RDI radar as used in the French Air Force.

Yes, SVG does upscale very well but its downscaling is more aliased than textures, this is a DCS limitation. For low res screens, we added the possibility to make lines thicker: Copy Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Cockpit\settings.lua Into Saved Games\DCS\Config\M-2000C\settings.lua Then, keep only the vth_thickness and vth_fuzziness lines, and adjust values (increase). This will improve aliasing on low resolutions. It's a temporary solution, we might add nice sliders in special options in the future.

Hi, while this is not a bad idea, this is not the way to do it. if the plane is not trimmed it's not going to work well. What we are thinking about is a toggle button as it would be much easier to use. Thanks for the suggestion tho :).

Hi, Could you provide a track where this issue is visible ? I can't remember having it myself. Thanks.

A IFF symbol in hud and interrogation line, only show up in STT not TWS
myHelljumper replied to CrazyGman's topic in M-2000
Yes, the underline and A or D indication inside the target box are only displayed in PSIC, in PSID, you would need to refer to the IFF diamond on the VTB.- 1 reply
