  1. You can start with this I guess, but I would go through the whole thread when you get time and you may find more info: The airspeed/mach indicator is 3 1/4" Square and each individual side panels are a standard width of 5 3/4". Salute,
  2. I really like that scheme, you did a great job. Just curious why you misnamed it AD-76? AD was East Coast RAG. Should be NJ76 as VF-124 was West Coast RAG. Salute,
  3. I apologize ahead of time, but this is such an absurd statement I can not stop myself. It is a logical fallacy to assume that because one item replaces another that it is in anyway better. The Hornet is better, but primarily on the accounting sheet, not in any combat scenario. Since I assume that the multi-player arenas are like any other online games, the equipment is only loosely being used in any way similar to their intended use. Again, I apologize for this post. Salute,
  4. That was done in testing by mechanically bypassing some of the locks that are supposed to prevent that to prove the aircraft could fly and even land with asymmetric wing sweep if I recall correctly. Hopefully you do not break a wing sweep screw or other wing sweep parts. Salute,
  5. I wonder if they plan on eventually having more than the Cold-Start checklist assist from Jester as well? Like Post T/O, Combat, Pre/Post-Landing, Landing, Emergency checklists etc... that can be user directed.
  6. There is an auto flap/slat program that will deploy them under certain conditions, you will have to explain in more depth the conditions your slats are down in I guess.
  7. 3 and 6 are always up front with 4 behind 3 or in the last center Sparrow position. The diagram might help visualize it better. Salute,
  8. I do not recall the source, but I was once told the mplus-2c font. Not sure if this is what Heatblur used or not though. Salute,
  9. Naval policy was generally to fly the same approach whether feet wet or dry for carrier aircraft, that way pilots did not develop bad habits like flaring at landing.
  10. I would like to see an option for Jester to make specific call outs to assist the pilot when he asks for them - like periodic alt and speed call outs during engagements with option for how often he makes the call outs or just speed during take off/landings, etc.... Salute,
  11. He already answered your first question in his case 1 landing tips write up. "The wings are moved aft in order to set up a higher induced drag delta wing profile to facilitate a more rapid deceleration and also to make formation easier and tidier." Salute,
  12. Salute.
  13. +10000
  14. Please make all of these bindings available to sim pit users who want to flip real switches and move real levers also. Please? Salute,
  15. This is disappointing for us sim pit builders if all the switches in both cockpits are not programmable including master test and other rotary switches and rheostats.
  16. If I remember right, the extra four way coolie hat above the Wing Sweep coolie is for the Pilots Radar Mode selector. I don't recall any other extra switches. They did change the type of switch for the Speed Brakes though, which is the long toggle in front of the Radar Mode selector. You probably should go through the NATOPS for more info. Salute, Punk
  17. I posted this in another thread for one of the guys building their own controls I think. I believe it is on page 3. Mind you, it is for the F-14D model, but should be the same size as the A and B models, just with an extra button/switch as far as I know. Salute, Punk MASON throttlegrips.pdf
  18. Hi. Not sure if these potential errors have been reported yet: Master Test Panel missing Mach Lev position between the EMERG GEN - Tests emergency generator and WG SWP - Tests wing-sweep system. AA1 Control Panel - numbers in text do not match illustration. HB DCS F-14 Specific Configuration Options The Heatblur F-14 in DCS has a set off options available affecting only the F-14. These are located under OPTIONS -> SPECIAL -> F-14B on the main DCS menu. I think "of" is the appropriate word? Salute,

  20. Feet Wet by Paul Gilchrist is okay. If you want fiction, I enjoyed the Punk's War trio by Ward Carrol and Sweetwater Gunslinger 201 by W.H. LeBarge. If you want more of pictorial type reference books let me know and I can give you a fair sized list I found somewhere. Salute,

  23. Hmm, I thought Tomcats always went to the pilots with the best looking pron star mustachios who had earned their Golden Wings??? Salute,
  24. Yeah, Those are hard to find. I have two of them and one with 8 buttons. They were from an A-6 I believe so they are are out there, you just have to luck across them. I was going to just go with momentary push buttons and use the game indication to let me know which one was active. Salute, Punk
