That is unfortunately not true. My favorite example here is the Laser Maverick CTD which existed a while ago, which crashed everyones DCS on the server or in SP when it was fired. While it was reported in the Beta, it was still taken over in the "Stable".

That is exaclty what I said. You reduce realism to get aircraft faster. If you want that, DCS is the wrong platform for you. Simple as that. To be honest, I am disgusted, that for every realistic feature a module offers, there is one who wants to have it either removed or an arcade mode to make it easier and this thread, or the idea of it, is the exact representation of that and a line of thought with great potential of ruining the essence of what DCS is.

Sorry, but if you ask the devs to scrap realism for more modules in shorter time, then DCS is just not for you.

While the MiG-21PFM was the most used variant during the Vietnam war, maybe a MiG-21F-13 would put in more historical relevance due to it beeing the first variant put in widespread use. To add, it would be most different from the MiG-21bis we have now. By the way, the picture you have posted is not the PFM variant from Vietnam, but a domestically modified East German version based on the PF.

In multiplayer, the setting gets overriden by the server. If it is not enabled by the mission author when he saves the mission, you will not be able to use it.

And the flight model for a Su-27 or MiG-29 does not exist? Well than I do not know how those are simulated in FC3.

There seems to be a hardcoded maximum detection distance of about 50km, both for a radar in search mode and lock. Tested against F-18 and F-16, as well as MiG-29. It directly starts with 2 beeps after that. If I understand it correctly, the number of beeps should give you the intensity, so I would rather expect the first beeps to be single and maybe at a further distance. Have only tested against fighters yet. Direction in lock works now up to very close. I am unsure yet, what a Fox 3 does to the RWR, but I think it will only be detected very close from impact, without any time to evade.

Eine der erfreulichsten Nachrichten dieses Jahr. Mit dem SPO-10 Update ist einer meiner zwei Kritikpunkte an der MiG-21 dann wohl bald beseitigt. Jetzt noch das ASP und ich bin komplett glücklich.

Du kannst hier Vermutungen verbreiten wie du möchtest. Was ich geschrieben habe stammt aus den Kommentaren der ED Angestellten. Da kann sich dann jeder seine Meinung machen.

Die Aussage ist so erstmal falsch. Laut ED können sie selbst keine neueren russischen Flugzeuge machen, wobei hier auch nie ein konkretes Datum, oder Modell genannt wurde. Eigenständige Entwickler haben die Möglichkeit. Dazu muss man sagen, dass auch seitens ED die Aussagen nicht wirklich klar sind. Vor einiger Zeit wurde eine Entwickler im russischen Teil des Forums mal zitiert ungefähr mit: "Wir machen keine russischen Flugzeuge, weil die keiner kaufen würde". Natürlich sind trotzdem die häufig geäußerten Wünsche wie Su-34, oder neue Varianten wie die MiG-29SMT unrealistisch und stören solche Diskussionen meist nur.

Wenn auch frühe MiG-29 schon zu modern sind, fällt mir noch ein: MiG-21 Bison

What kind of IFF do you expect? It already has the simple IFF capability, so it will show up friendly or not on other radars. And what difference would it make? All you had to do is use a specified IFF Key when starting up the aircraft. After that it would make 0 difference for us.

Doof nur für alle anderen, die unendlich viele Raketen in die F-16 pumpen müssen, bis diese mal vom Himmel fällt, oder von befreundeten F-16 Piloten abgeschossen werden, weil diese kein IFF haben. Aber warum sollten die auch Spaß haben wollen?

Ja klar und das auch berechtigt. Schau dir mal die Server an, bei denen die F-16 nicht verfügbar ist. Da rollt gerade der Präriehund durch.
