  1. A overhaul for the weather system also. I think these new effects in conjunction with a better simulation of weather will get DCS more accurate results.
  2. Looking great and accurate from all angles! To my knowledge the CoNAs are already being worked on by someone else, you can even find them in the User Files section for the old 3d model. Perhaps you can combine forces. But no one said we can't have two!

  7. 3 skins, CAG 101, CAG from 2005 and the Line liveries are now available for Download.
  8. The skin is pretty much finished, I still need to check whether I'm allowed to use USMC & NAVY symbols or not.
  9. The best way to orient myself for placing text, decals or the camo scheme correctly, are all the lines, rivets, strobe lights or USAF markings. At the very top of the template you can find a wireframe that shows all the shapes and parts of the aircraft.
  10. Well, I'm sorry navy. Seems very obvious after taking a closer look at it and remembering that on the other side the USMC symbol is placed.
  11. The CAG 101 has a white symbol on it's left inner tail side, earlier on the right at a smaller size, but what symbol is that?

  15. Great work so far! Do you plan to improve it a little more? I found a few little, very small things that are missing or incorrect. I noticed that: - aircraft contains text on both textures - wingtips colored black - black ladder visible - AN/ALQ-165 antenna colored white - BuNo 161924 designation on the tail missing - Red Stars are to big and the white line is to thin and surrounded by red and blue lines - part on the LERX not colored - tail antennas not colored correct - tailhook colored completely black - 12 on the tail placed in the centre *nitpick off*
  16. IIRC it was mentioned in one of the Hornet Press-Release YouTube videos that freely placeable bortnumbers are planned. But I could be mistaken.
  17. The correct line needs to look like this in order to get it working: {"pilot_F18_helmet", 1 ,"pilot_F18_helmet_nm",false}; The first part had to get rid of the _nm.
  18. Thanks, I changed it to 1, made sure the textures are exported as dds, couldn't find any typos but no joy. I want to remove the gray leather on the side of the helmet which worked fine with diffuse textures but the normal makes it still visible.
  19. Bazar/World/textures/AeroWeapons If you load any model in the ModelViewer and activate "Show Statistics" under "View" the "TEXTURES" window will show you every texture required for this model. By selecting a texture it will show a preview of it and the option to navigate to it's home folder.
  20. The Texture file of the Hornet shows a few normal textures, which are being used on the new model. Or what are these "nm" files?
  21. I would like to now how to call up the normal maps for a specific livery via the description.lua, if possible? So far, for example, I tried this: {"pilot_F18_helmet_nm", 0 ,"pilot_F18_helmet_nm",false}; with no success. Do I need to change the 0 with a different digit or change the whole path/line?
