Now that we have one new, most likely still WIP explosion effect with 2.5.1, I was wondering if it is planned to have more and different explosion effects depending on what has been hit on the aircraft. So far, I know the differences in these effects depend on the missile warheads, are more aspects being considered? If, for example, the fuel tank has been hit would the explosion be bigger and contain more fire compared to the current one? Does the current damage model already allow for such things?

It has been added to the module after the winners of the skin competition have been chosen. Many of these new skins were made by KIZIR, this is one of them.

To me the flow of information and updates we receive from HB about their F-14 is more than enough. I don't know why we would need more and more news or updates when there already are plenty of update threads with a lot of text and pictures to read and look at. Perhaps there shouldn't be even more news until more progress is made. I would get tired of daily or weekly updates containing pictures with a few changes or bug fixes to the 3d model, textures or systems. Updates should contain something new or worth to look at, which can't be achieved with daily or weekly updates, I think.

Not sure what you're smelling there then. We were told many times now that it is very difficult for Eagle Dynamics or any other developer to get a highly accurate simulation of eastern/russian aircraft into DCS World.

This looks really great indeed. JASDF has some of the best liveries for fighter aircraft, IMO.

Will the new Hornet Texture Template be released prior to EA release or some time after, maybe even earlier?

When will we see the new external train models for Nevada and perhaps the Persian Gulf? AFAIK the Nevada train models are very similar to the ones that drive threw the Persian Gulf.

I remember that as well. I stopped making adjustments and the use of filters ever since then.

CTRL+F3 after you found your F11 sweet spot.

Shouldn't it be possible to actually copy the old layers, if you made layers and still own the old files, to the new template and adjust them so that they fit with the new dimensions?

So true. IMO ED did a great job with EDGE so far and progress in the right direction is actually fairly easy to notice.

To attach any armament to the aircraft you need to open the "Connectors" windows with CTRL+C. You will see small colored boxes around the aircraft with their own designation. To attach the AV-8B gunpod you need to select the "str_pnt_006" connector point with the Connectors window and select "Attach Model" after that, browse to DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Shapes and select "AV8BNA_GP".

There has been no patch today. The missing buildings bug in Nevada appeared with yesterday's update.

I haven't seen Episode 8 yet although I'am absolutely amazed by this franchise since I knew about it. For me Star Wars has always been completed with Anakin being the chosen one and fulfilling his job by bringing balance to the force. So what can be added or changed to this whole and big story (the force, thousand years of jedi vs. sith war, the Skywalkers bringing trouble to a whole galaxy) by filming three more episodes for the franchise? If they actually want to change it, maybe they have planned something different or they just want to add some stuff related to Star Wars to earn more money... I still plan to watch it but I have seen a huge disappointment so far, for good reasons. Luke throwing his own lightsaber off the cliffs without bothering which he build together on his own, earned the crystal for it on his own and fought against his father with it? Remember when a very wise man once said "This weapon is your life"? I think I could go on and on as some already did, probably even more once I have seen it. This movie might be a good movie, in some way, but not a Star Wars movie at all, I think. Maybe until we see Episode 9, watch the movies a couple more times all together and understand all this, but I'm loosing interest with the huge and reasonable negativity I see so far about TLJ.

So this answer was posted on facebook in the comments section by Eagle Dynamics today under their latest DCS: F/A-18C Hornet post which refers to a better simulation of aerial refueling in DCS.

Looks more like shadows to me, not a bug..?
