  1. that's great they acknowledged the sound issues, but no mention at all of future texture and graphical upgrades. that's unfortunate. if they committed to releasing updated internal and external visuals in the future, that would probably tip the scales over for me to purchase it now in support, and knowing that it'll get better. but as of now there's a chance these are the final textures.
  2. ok thanks for info
  3. well as stated in the topic thread, is refers to the graphical fidelity/technology specifically. i would feel like this is a more objective idea whether someone just likes it more or not. from what i gathered Normandy 2.0 is objectively newer and better technology across the map, but Channel has more detail specifically along the coastal areas since its a smaller map. but not 100% sure about this
  4. perfect. thanks
  5. was paratroopers ever added to this module? couldn't find anything on it
  6. perfect. that was all i needed to know before i pulled the trigger
  7. thanks for trying it out. forgot about this mod
  8. what's the status of the FFB in this bird? hadn't seen any mention of it anywhere
  9. these sorts of comments always make me chuckle. so you'd be fine if there wasn't an exterior model at all
  10. Really disappointed in the low-res textures for a $70 product being discussed on here. Very surprised by this compared to every other recent DCS release. Maybe it's a bug?
  11. just saw this was released today and got excited! However as a FFB user I want to check if FFB (trim, forces, etc) is enabled, otherwise I won't purchase as it doesn't really work well with an ffb stick. Anyone know the state of FFB with this module? Also are tutorials included yet? Also the screenshots on the official product page have 0 pictures of the cockpit which I find strange...is this an alpha release?
  12. hmm is this working with latest 2.9?
  13. thanks for the feedback, good to know the devs read these posts. DCS customer for a long time and I own every single module. as soon as the Mossie gets FFB I'll be a happy customer
  14. seems to be a bit of a rivalry between the two. some say normandy 2 is better some say channel is better.
  15. Just wondering if this plane was still in active development? Any word from the devs?
  16. we can indeed dream. hopefully a developer will see the light and create a flyable bomber. hopefully in my lifetime
  17. yeah exactly that's one reason I mentioned the A-20 as it seems like it'd be a good beginner bomber for DCS, as it's low crew count and simple but checks all the boxes for what a bomber should be. I think a lot of people would get enjoyment out of a flyable bomber in DCS. anyone know if this is on the table at all for a future release?
  18. old post but I'm also looking to be able to adjust how long vehicles burn in order to make it more realiistic. check out the file "...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\ParticleEffects\effects\FireVehicle.lua" and mess with the settings in there, I think you can increase burn time. however I'm hoping someone else can chime in with better facts
  19. I have my Ju-88 big bomber formations set up correctly as I just copied my A-20's big bomber formation which carpet bombs admirably. However the Ju-88's seem to struggle with this, only dropping 1 bomb at a time instead of all of them at once like they're supposed to. Anyone else having this issue?
  20. Just wondering if anyone knows of any future plans to add flyable bombers, like the A-20 that's already in the sim. Was thinking it'd be a very fun multi-crew experience. Imagine manning one of the gun turrets, firing away at passing bf-109s as they swoop and dive around you, while 100 of your brothers surround you in 50 other bombers all heading towards their target. chaotic fun.
  21. OP here. thanks for the feedback, really loving the map and looking forward to what you'll in the future with it and the updates you'll bring.
  22. why would you rearm if you're already on the runway ready for takeoff? you set your loadout in the mission screen
  23. thanks, this makes sense. So to recap the Normandy 2.0 map is better and more detailed for a larger area, except the area covered in the smaller Channel map, which has higher resolution for that singular area.
  24. ah that explains it. sounds like mission creators need to go update their entries in the user files page
