well i had to fix my water cooling loop as the cpu block was blocked and the pump failed and the anti cyclone sponge disintegrating in my hand, so that cost me £400, then i dropped £1000 on a 2080 and rift, another £120 on an extra 16gb ram to bring me up to 32gb

with the change in the weapons control panel can we expect new weapons?

For the landings i would read the actual manual, specifically relating to the SPS system, this is a lift system that activates at a certain weight, if i recall its 850lt fuel with no stores and 450ltr fuel with some stores.

You have to remember that it is a company, the WW2 aircraft are competing with other sims unlike the A10 which was USAF sanctioned. Therefore making the ww2 aircraft a higher quality is more in EDs interests at the moment but i suspect that now that the ww2 stuff is higher in price the A10 will be their next project. Personally i would rather see a full fidelity SU25T but you know... Details... as for the Huey well i don't fly it a lot but the one thing i will say is that the FM at least does not feel like its on rails like the gazelles currently does. The problem when developing a specific aircraft is that if it has limited capability it will continue to do so unless the developer then goes on to make a different version which then brings up issues with marketing. The F14 is an example of this, the F14A will handle differently the B and should have some minor changes in weapons and instrumentation but is close enough to the B to warrent selling in the same package. When it comes to the Huey i don't really think there is a lot to be done unless you develop a module based of an aircraft that was a variant of the Huey such as the UH-1Y.

Can fly either of the migs, as for tactics and sops though, all of what i know is self learned, i've flown the Mig 15 and 21 in the sim for a few years now and have done dogfights against sabres various times with great success on both sides. was a challenge to say the least when both pilots know their aircraft well and are unlikely to make common mistakes. I don't mind helping out but i am UK based so time zones might be of some issue. Glad to help out though if y'all need a hand

After reading part of the Natops manual I am fairly convinced the F14 will be the most complex module ever made for DCS, the AICS if done correctly will mean that if there is a warning on the Annunciation panel that if you try to reset it using essential dc bus you might also have some strange wing sweep behaviour as it is on the same circuit, so you then have to reset that as well. Judging by the picture that was posted of the failures menu in the mission editor there will be an extensive list of potential failures that can happen. I'm sure that due to the analogue interface of all this pilots used to modern avionics will initially struggle to make the transition. Then there is the raw power of this bird, an aircraft where the manual specifically prohibits intentional spins as they are incredibly hard to recover from and in at least the A model the engines are prone to compressor stalling in spins. Then for the landing it is potentially unstable and as such will likely be much more of a handful as it is also prone to doing a sabre like dance on the stall envelope. That's not to say the Hornet is not hard to fly, I wouldn't know as i have not flown it in the sim as you well know my tastes are more analogue compared to yours. Then again it's all perspective i suppose as MFDs often confuse me at times and as such are harder for me to deal with in comparison to analogue switches and gauges. -Aceru1

Is there any information on if a AV8B Plus is being developed? I love flying the NA variant however it only really shows its perks at night which in most dcs servers is a rarity. Currently it feels like the Harrier is in a weird spot as it is faster then the A10C but slower then the F18C and with the f18C getting upgraded soon with the TPOD and expanded weapons load out the Harrier i feel might end up fading out a bit. The only perk it will have is V/STOL and being able to have FLIR on the Hud. The Plus or even GR9 would be sweet to have for the day as it has access to harms, harpoons, Brimstone etc.

my guess is that its to simulate aerodynamic affects to a greater scale as well as to further simulate manauvers that cannot be performed in most aircraft we currently have. Therefore i would think it is to test and developed inverted flight systems, inverted flying manauvers, advanced aerobatic work etc. I am very tempted to pick this up to fly along side the tomcat as i love tailwheel aircraft.

New bios installed for the first time in 4 years, stable at 4.3ghz Ram running in xmp 3000mhz, got another 16gb delivered tomorrow Blk is at 125 Xpm enabled And cant rememer ratio but it is stable

I run custom water cooling so temperature is not a big factor considering it has a thick 240mm rad to itself, if i had the extra cash i would upgrade to 32gb of ram as someone suggested. The bios version will be something i look into as it has been some time since i last updated it. I will post back results tomorrow when im able to use my computer again however if anyone who either does over clocking often or knows of some forums could give me some tips then it would be most appreciated. Thank for tge advice thus far!

I thought as much, it sits at 3 which is a shame and for some reason it doesnt like being overclocked, i get an error screen if i try, maybe i'll scan some forums for some settimgs and see if they work, considering i sometimes get overclock errors on stock voltage i belive something is a miss. Then again the first gen x99 boards were known to have issues.

I have a question on the VR performance of the RTX 2070 when it comes to multiplayer as im considering purchasing the two. I've heard mixed reviews on what card to get to get the most out of VR, such as the gtx 1070 was capable of pushing it and seeing as the rtx 2070 holds similiar performance as the 1080 but with newer drivers im curious as if it would be a good idea to make the purchase. Of course in bvr lmao, and well its a mig 25, things so big you could feed a family for a week from it.

I would pay good money for a new heli, the question is what technology and role would it incorporate? I read somewhere there is a hind on the way but then it would be good to have a nato counterpart to it. And if heatblur was the produce a helicopter then i imagine they would want to incorporate the jester technology so that then favours gunship platforms. But then we have the argument that they have not produced a heli in dcs and that other devs should do it instead using their tech. To that i say, NAY! let HB make one, they've proven that they can make awesome aircraft with complex systems and lighting so it would be interesting to see how they would tackle a helicopter. Wonder what they would make though. AH64D? Cobra? Blackhawk? hell even a Little bird would be a sweet addition and would act much like the Gazelle but with more weapon versatility, rockets, miniguns and tow missiles on racks. I do favour the Blackhawk in this situation as we could do with something thats newer then the Huey but can also multirole with tows, missiles and even fuel tanks.

I would absolutely fly the living (insert awesome phrase here) out of it, good missiles, fast, good radar, heavy aircraft and a good match to the f-14. I like to fly both Nato and Russian aircraft in DCS with the Mirage and Mig 21 being my most flown aircraft, It's always interesting to see the different capabilities of the aircraft and to experiment with new tactics to take down bigger threats.

I agree, It's a miracle that the current multi role aircraft have not had many instances (at least in my case) of people trolling. It would likely have to be somewhat server side though as it would have to disable the slot if the pilot chooses. Something the server can already do.

I for one would like to see the EE Lighting or Mig 25 however seeing as Heatblur has developed jester ai it would make more sense to have them roll out another two seater such as the A6, or the tornado in some form, either that or they team up with ED and make an F18D. I definitely think they should expand upon naval aircraft though weather that be in the form of something such as the A-7 Corsair II or the A3D Skywarrior as it has a 3 man crew, is a bomber and is also carrier cabale.
