  1. But we don't really know how "soon" that will be...
  2. I agree. Expand it further into the Mediterranean and you'd have a really great map.
  3. Idk, maybe it sells good already and razbam want monies. :D
  4. Indeed :megalol:
  5. Wags said they would work on the A-A guidance after upgrading A-G. Given the large payload of the hornet I think it's safe to say that is in progress.
  6. Are you asking.... who was inverted?
  7. Why worry about maintaining your Cats when you can just get more to enlist?!
  8. A documentary I just recently watched said it did. But I've never read about it in the NATOPs.
  9. I've never heard of hornets downing 29s. And the only F-15 kills I've heard of on 29s were BVR. Did an eagle get in a dogfight with a 29 at some point?
  10. I'm very confused, is this guy trying to say it's all about maneuverability in the future while trash talking the thrust vectoring, super cruising, internal store carrying F-22???
  11. So this stable flight thing for AAR is very interesting to me. Is it an autopilot mode that is just used for AAR or was it made specifically for AAR?
  12. Became being the operative word there.... I'm going to say it, and people are going to try to kill me.... Here we go.... I think the hornet looks better. runs away
  13. -Just its being a two seat multi-role, that's all. -Yeah I get it..... I guess I'm so hyped for the hornet that the 16 just isn't that important to me right now :D
  14. I reaaaaaaaaaaaly think ED should go for what ever Russian fighter that they can get enough info for. Not saying I like a Mig better than a 16 either I just think it would make the whole of DCS more interesting. If not a Russian fighter then I'd prefer an Apache but that's another story.... If they did do a 16 I think it would be best to do a D model and I'm curious what others think. But what confuses me about this thread are those implying or outright saying that once you get a f-16 you just need a dynamic campaign and you've got it all right there... The hornet can do just about anything the 16 can do, and the things it can't it makes up for with carrier ops. Some will say its because of how iconic the F-16 is, but what about the Tomcat?! Imagine THAT with a dynamic campaign if you want iconic! Having that in a sim with the hornet, harrier, and let's not forget the hog?! I like just about any of the American made fighters out there but for me at least, the hornet should satisfy that itch for a modern multi role. (I've kinda always liked two engine fighters better maybe that's why). Once the hornet is released/completed, I'm just looking forward to things like missile guidance improvents, better ATC and things like that. Any new planes or news on new planes will just be bonus stuff for me. (Unles ED anounces an F-22 when I'm 60 or so lol)
  15. Obviously
  16. Exactly, and there wouldn't be any preemptive evasive maneuvers like with the AMRAAM because the range is so long that you would have to be doing evasive maneuvers anytime you're within 100 miles of a tomcat.... I wonder if a bandit alternating his jammer on and off would mess with the missile, making it loose lock or have to switch back and forth to HOJ.
  17. As i was moving my mouse toward this title, I was remembering the "balancing the f-14" thread. Then I saw who posted this thread and I was like "WUT?" So anyway, WELCOME TO EARTH.
  18. LOL your F-18 was changed to the sunglasses emoticon. Very appropriate!!!
  19. IIRC that was "internal beta." 2.3/10 troll attempt.
  20. Probably one of those things that sound better on paper than they would be in practice. The detail required for simulation pretty much guarantees bugs. And we wouldn't want to wait so long for a fix. That and development in DCS is unpredictable so such a firm schedule might be asking for overlooked problems. Still an interesting idea though. :)
  21. Welcome indeed....
