  1. For me, I haven't seen a reason to go for Virpil. VKB has well-tested products, and their base design is very well iterated now. The new addition of the dry clutch to the Gunfighter's design is very interesting to me as a supplement to traditional spring tension. Additionally, Virpil has not priced very competitively... not enough to make me pick the dark horse. If you have a Warthog grip on hand, it's a no-brainer. If not, that's another discussion.
  2. Too true! :)
  3. So things promoted here can only be things that promote or advertise the ED "party line?" That's such a sad, closed-off idea of a community. If you want a real community you have to let people enjoy real dialog and creative endeavor. This is not the kind of change I was dearly hoping your post might be announcing.
  4. No big deal. I guess that makes sense, they're pretty far aft of the LEX. Just that increase of frontal area. (As if the Super Hornet needs more transonic drag!)
  5. Good summary. It would be interesting to know if there is an appreciable loss of Clmax due to the CFTs, but I doubt it would be admitted if there was. Skate, has anyone ever told you that your random capitalization makes them dizzy? :D
  6. Hey guys, do you intend to sell base plates for the upcoming VKB Gunfighter?
  7. Arr gum err.
  8. Very impressed, guys. That radar stuff is not simple!
  9. I appreciate some interesting information being brought up, but unfortunately all this has been fairly inaccessible to English-speakers on this English board. The translations on the website from the 1st post are OK, but can you translate your latest quote better than Google does?
  10. Apologies for the late post. Sokol, I can't rep your posts anymore. Is there anything you don't know about flight sim hardware? This guy misses nothing!
  11. I'm a fan of your mod work, Mizzy, but in reality, a canopy rarely appears that dark or tinted. I think what Belsimtek has done is more realistic (if less artistic) within the limitations of the simulator materials.
  12. I can confirm they're phenomenal. With a 7.5cm extension, they work as-is. To my knowledge, they will ship a custom length if you communicate with them directly. (They were offering to do so in another thread.)
  13. That thing looks amazing. Great progress!
  14. Fascinating. Looks like a robust design, I wonder how it feels? Torture test: OO_g-aSi91o
  15. Sahaj's camo colors are a big no for me. If he made them in black, I'd be interested.
  16. Just the snarkiest, you didn't make the cut. ;)
  17. I would agree, except that most of the negative comments have been rather sarcastic. Some of them read like a taunt. It's too often done very childishly rather than as adults discussing and giving feedback. I look forward to wading through 200 pages of naysayers to quote all of them in one giant post.:)
  18. I highly doubt that has anything to do with the actual color of this HUD, though, because it's pretty hard to project and collimate black symbology. :) I think you're barking up the wrong tree. It's probably just as flashben says.
  19. Yes, PLEASE! Maybe it's a language barrier issue, hopefully not a PR restriction issue, but it would be great if ED could confirm these well-researched bugs are being taken care of
  20. Looks interesting. I have to say I like how they bumped the bank scale up to the top to avoid interfering with the flight path symbology.
  21. These mounts are incredibly sturdy and rigid, I doubt it would become unstable.
  22. Thank you for working on this, ED guys! It's a relief to see this is work in progress.
  23. You're fanning the flames of confusion, 98abaile. Nobody is disagreeing with that, just the opposite.
  24. I've noticed nothing odd about the cockpit in VR.
