  1. Michele, this is really an A-10 specific question, so next time you will probably get an answer here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=107 This forum is meant for people to post guides and tutorials, rather than for questions. Glad you found your answer anyway!
  2. Congratulations on the release, Sven! It's good to see growing development of MOOSE. The CAP class is looking great.
  3. Worth considering: http://www.military.com/air-force-birthday
  4. Why 1946 and not 1947?
  5. It's obviously a little disappointing to see delivery pushed back repeatedly, but thank you for keeping everyone updated, Rainer. It would be nice if VKB could provide a little more detail as to what the issues are with the PCBs, and of course an updated ETA.
  6. Come on, now. The HW has some great features! No one else produced such a good throttle when it was released, for example. People just want to keep the good features when they upgrade. This extends to both hardware choices and the real A-10C's design that they emulated.
  7. In Western fighters they're usually referred to as "finger lifts."
  8. There is a lot of complaint about this in DCS. It's not something the developer can control, to my knowledge. Certainly, the pilot in DCS has questionable G tolerance.
  9. Cypher, since it sounds like the throttle is still in its infancy, here are some humble suggestions. In order for me to be interested in purchasing a VPC throttle over my HW throttle, it would need: No play or wiggle in the axes Hall or MRS, no potentiometers Metal switches, not cheap plastic ones as in the concept renders Switches make one press per direction (no "release" actions, please!) A simple metal base, the "brushed" look in the render is cheesy Replace the single red thumb button on the throttle with another two or four-way hat... I seriously think no HOTAS sold should feature less button combinations than the HOTAS Warthog. Matching the high functionality of it and similar Western HOTAS should ensure that no aircraft is "left behind" by your hardware A pinky switch for master lights control (found in nearly all western fighters and jet trainers) I'm not a big fan of the square plastic buttons, but I understand this is just an Eastern design convention and makes sense when using the T-50 HOTAS as a template.
  10. Can we keep it light and constructive here, boys? Seems this thread is going the way of society... too many people too attached to their own opinion. :)
  11. VR costs as much as a decent monitor. (Not even top of the line.) Having a controller that precisely matches one aircraft is cool, but I'd rather have something that is of utility in multiple airplanes. In fact, that's why I appreciate the A-10 HOTAS layout... it's busy enough to handle almost any jet. It can double as an F-16 HOTAS with ease!
  12. If you made new internals to replace the HOTAS Warthog (and prevent loose throttles) I think you would get a very positive response.
  13. And let's add that there's a strange spotlight cast on the ground even from thousands of feet up! Any time the nav lights knob is turned up.
  14. Great video! Thanks.
  15. Sounds like something BST should be able to locate pretty easily... ed_fm_add_local_force/moment is being sent an erroneous value. (In the case of the F-5 crash on load, a non-computable value, in the case of the Mirage going nuts, a wildly inaccurate value.)
  16. Agreed, but also be aware that no amount of curve will compensate for real flight controls. A high performance jet not only has a good 30 to 40 pounds of stick pressure required, but also increases with G. Control design is what makes high performance aircraft manageable in a lot of real-world scenarios, and we can only approximate that in simulation. That said, I think sim developers need to understand this and not get trapped by the desire to simulate an airplane using empirical math alone. Using highly realistic aerodynamic modeling is a waste if some tradeoffs are not made to compensate for desktop PC flight controls.
  17. Won't it use their quick connect system? It should be easy to purchase a Base-only Gunfighter and a separate MCG... all you need to do is click them together or something like that. Right?
  18. Thank you for fixing this, and quickly too! I'm very impressed with the response from ED and Belsimtek. It's been a very satisfying process.
  19. Ok, I'm convinced by the update. I want to see how the gunfighter with Warthog grip is first, but this looks great.
  20. Yes, and they're more keenly aware of that fact than anyone I'm sure. Unfortunately, getting the Caucasus map into 2.0 is not just a "copy and paste" operation and has required some serious work to date.
  21. Oof, in your experience, is that a torched engine/exceedance?
  22. You're not buying an iPhone here. It's a niche market and I imagine they're doing their best to make things work as a small business. A little less sarcasm might help your cause. http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2178
  23. Fedor... press Numpad 5, just like normal for resetting head position. Enjoy it!
  24. Boy, I hope that's a demo we get to see this year! Highly doubt there's a shred of truth to that. Drag Index?
