  1. Don't think this has been posted yet: Video of Bugatti 100P's first flight: https://www.facebook.com/TheBugatti100pProject/videos/vb.261574317253048/843683509042123/?type=2
  2. Great work, Vyrtuoz! So good to see this software always evolving.
  3. Like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5PNhNEW-os
  4. Dear Leader personally watched over their design to ensure comfort and safety.
  5. Fun fact. 3 years after entering service, in 2001, the Super Hornet's mission readiness rate was 57%. It's now 73. As usual, note how the news media suggestively presents only the facts that paint the F-35 in a negative light, with no reference to the bigger picture.
  6. Cheers. You're one of the forum's best!
  7. I'll take an honest article written by a fighter pilot (and an F-16 driver) over WIB's un-sourced armchair garbage any day.
  8. WIB is becoming infamous for citing "unnamed sources." Amazing how little people demand in terms of proof.
  9. Answer is available on this page and the previous page. It requires minimal work on your part, just don't install all the files. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2306201&postcount=111
  10. I'm guessing the forward fins probably can be attached before flight, like AMRAAM for example.
  11. Just to extend this statement.. laser eye surgery gives no benefit to "ill" or unhealthy eyes, only to those with a poor acuity. In fact, you need to have a healthy eye in order to be a good candidate for laser eye surgery. I've had excellent results with mine, but I can concur that it is not something to take lightly.
  12. Excellent read, thank you Ilya! I think you captured the meaning perfectly.
  13. That's awesome! Nice clean work. I really want to do this now.
  14. Maybe you don't understand it then. Although somewhat interchangeable, chine typically refers to a blended surface. A strake need not be, and is typically an attachment rather than a smoothed extension of its parent. In the case of the F-35, the shape in question is most accurately termed a chine, and you'll find it referenced as such pretty much everywhere you look. (In fact, this thread is the first time I've seen F-35 and "strake" in the same discussion. Warning... Googling "F-35 Chines" will leave you with a lot of results about Chinese F-35s. :megalol:) Well I'm trying to help, but it doesn't seem like you want to understand the difference, rather that you just want someone to be wrong.
  15. Er... ok. :dontgetit: This is a chine: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/cf/A-12_Nose_View.jpg/1280px-A-12_Nose_View.jpg This is a strake: http://www.b-domke.de/AviationImages/Typhoon/Images/Typhoon_ZJ924_12461.jpg Often (and sometimes inappropriately) interchanged terms. I could be reading into it too much, but your tone comes across as a bit condescending and rude.
  16. Yeah there's a reason why he was let out to pasture.
  17. The major problem is: Pierre Sprey is in that video. Glad I was warned...
  18. You are looking at a low-pressure vortex (hence the condensation,) which is essentially what lift is. But again, I agree that this is a weak analysis. Too many factors involved. For what it's worth, there is a point past which having a stronger LEX vortex is a detriment rather than an advantage. Sounds kind of demanding... Look at the shadow caused by the "lip" above the intake. (Above where it says Danger Jet Intake.) That "lip" is called a chine.
  19. Instant purchase. That cursor hat is so disappointing. Sell it with a beefier replacement for the pinky switch! :)
  20. This has the same ring of authenticity as the "air cushion" explanation of ground effect. :music_whistling:
