There are in fact people who are more interested in edge than nttr. I myself am one of them. Can you get Frostbite without getting Battlefield? I doubt it. Can you get EDGE without NTTR? Perfectly yes. But I agree with you that sometimes people say EDGE when they really meant NTTR. It can be confusing.

The last time I checked, EDGE will cost you exactly US$0.00, which translates into 0.00 of whichever currency of whichever country that you are living in. :smartass: Or were you talking about certain DCS modules that you plan to get once EDGE is out? That would make more sense.

I realized that when this ground texture mod is applied, fps is reduced to 30+ from 40+ when close to the ground. I couldn't bear it, so I deactivated the mod for now... which is a shame. I liked this mod a lot. I am using Gigabyte 680 OC 2G, i5 3570K stock, 16G of ram and a Corsair SSD 240G. I suspect it is because of the limited amount of vram. But I am not sure. Do any of you notice that?

I've always wondered, what are the advantages of using the steam version? Apart from "keeping everything in the same place", I mean... Do we get better mp experience in the steam version? Or what else?

Deleted the app the next day. I use goodreader to read all my pdf files, including DCS manuals.

I've heard of it. Voice translation is easy to do, but is hard to do well enough for it to bear the official ED name.

Voice translation? That would require an extra set of skills, which very few possess... But I admit that it would be awesome to have commands and communication in native languages. Maybe in the future.

Your issue is unlikely to be related to DCS or F15... Check event viewer, and see what happened just before the restart.

I suppose mostly manual and user-interface translation. Cockpit, I am not sure... Probably not. Since English skills are required for us but not Russian skills, and since many DCS aircrafts have only Russian cockpits, I don't think cockpits will be translated. I wonder when we'll see the outcome.

I have no idea about EDGE, but under the current engine, DCS runs visibly more stable when I upgraded the ram to 16 gigs from 8.

Yes, we still need Mustang's shader mod, which, btw, is also among the ones which I cannot fly without. In fact the only mods that I am using are Mustang's shader and texture mods. :thumbup:

When the size of the audience of DCS is roughly the same as that of the Battlefield franchise? Just wait for one or two million years for the human kind to evolve to that stage. Then we may see it happen.
