I also found out that that the knobs I found on digikey are not the ones out of the A-10. The EHC ones are. Because of course the air force would be the more expensive ones.

No but thanks for the thought, I think that's something you can use perhaps like "big switch" and digikey will remember what "big switch" is and it will add it to your order so you don't have to go find it. I think. Digikey says: Functionality has been added to the website that will allow you, a "Registered" customer, to place your orders by entering your Customer Reference Number that has previously been tied to a Digi-Key part number. The Customer Reference field’s label is now a link and the help page will explain this feature

Sorry for the confusion, I'm familiar with how the it's really done. But I didn't plan for that and I don't feel like making a board for surface mounting if I don't have too. My idea was to just get some LEDs and drop them down below the panel on the bottom of this enclosure. https://forums.eagle.ru/picture.php?albumid=1271&pictureid=8332 They'd be maybe an inch or two away from the panel I figure this would give me more even lighting.

That's what I'm really hoping mine will look like. As for back lighting, I was planning to put my LED's down inside the enclosure, not up on the second layer like I've seen many others do. Do you think this method would work? I don't know much about the lux scale but the LED's I'd be using claim 14 lux at half a meter.

Same problem. Keyboard and joystick inputs don't turn it on. And the cockpit switch turns it on but not off. Additionally, the virtual switch does not move to the on position

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I can't find any translucent lazermax. I googled that item number and I only found another post you made. When I check the row mark website I found a product with an identical code but it ended in 2 not 1.

Thanks guys How do I know which is translucent and which isn't? I plan to backlight. Out of curiousity does anyone know how the air force does it? Do they use plastic or glass? Glass shatters into sharp unpleasant bits but plastic burns. I hear they have a mirror finish under the paint to reflect the light better.

I bought some acrylic and some matte black rustoleum spray paint and attempted to spray my panel black. Let me sum it up. Dust, dust, and peeling probably from oil. So I tried to sand it with 600 git for a better finish. That went badly. It all went badly... Help. What kinds of paints and techniques do you guys use to paint your panels? Also I plan to engrave it with a laser cutter. (which can do engraving too)

If I were you I'd put an on off switch on the side of your throttle and wire the power of the LED's to it.

Beauty! Can I ask how much you paid per switch on the armaments panel? I notice you're using the real switches. I always think its a shame when guys build a beautiful panel and then skimp on switches, good work.

Regarding the bold, I think it should be possible if I could change the "notch" on the radar. The speed based rejection. Also if this would have to be done with the target against the sky or very far away from terrain.

Does anyone know how much control the RIO has over his radar? For example in the M2000 or any other modern fighter your radar controls consist of on-off high low pulse and thats about it. I'm wondering if the F-14 allows you to control things like gain, fine control over pulse rate, and "speed reject" I don't know the proper term for that but its the speed at which an object hit by the radar has to be moving relative to the reciver in order to show up on the scope. THis is normally set high in a regular jet in order to avoid picking up terrian. I don't plan to attempt to use the F-14's radar as a terrian radar but rather to attempt to aquire targets that are above me faster and also targets that are moving perpendicular to my flight path.

Do you know the proper range, also I call him using \ not ctrl shift something to broadcase on the proper frequency. But I have easy radios on.

How do I set up a JTAC, if I do it the way I used to I have no luck. The JTAC gives me the silent treatment. I mean I did go out with his ex-girlfirend but I know he's too professional to just not respond in a time of need. So how do I set up a JTAC?
