a connection between the two systems would not eliminate the redundancy, it was even initially planned that the GPS would update the INS of the KA-50 every 300 seconds, but this was then rejected, there would be no disadvantage with the connection. If the GPS were to fail, you could simply fall back on the INS, so it would make no difference whether it was connected or not Please let's not deviate from the point, it's not about the INS here. It's about whether it was possible to enter the altitude in the real KA-50 or not. if the Ka-50 is used at high altitudes and a target point is at an altitude of say 1200m, the KA-50 has difficulties because the Shkval only slew to 0m and you have big problems finding the target. and currently, if you like, Alt can be saved and retrieved through an "exploit" and that is called "ME" the targets inserted there are saved in the KA50 with a height, i am also pretty sure that there must have been a possibility in the real Ka-50 to enter the height for the targed points, as i said without this option targed points become almost pointless There are also instruments in the Ka50 that indicate a vertical deviation that make no sense in the current state of the Ka-50. >>>

How do you know that so precisely? and the other point is, how do KA-50 pilots use the target points if the helicopter has no way to enter the altitude? Target points become useless.
-
Enter target points in the PVI-800. If you create them in the ME, the target will have the correct height. but in KA50 there is no option to add the altitude... which is very annoying... shortly after the KA-50III was released, you could still set it roughly like this, now nothing works anymore

Contrails going invisible depending on FOV

see it in 2D too -
The biggest secret of the ka50 is still how the altitude is entered in the real ka50, because it doesn't work in ours.

Against infantry ~20m more range Maybe soft armor too.

Sure this is not a mark point?

Don't nail me down, but I think I heard in an interview that it is theoetically possible that the passive search head could also recognize aircraft radars

I have also had the experience of using Missles 2-4 for one Apache in PVP

TGP Auto Handoff to AGM-65D Causes Loss of SOI
Hobel replied to Sn0wMan4's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Actually now this is intended. TGP lightning EO-PRE MAN = TMS-Up SOI switch to WPN AUTO = TGP stays after TMS-UP SOI and handsover the target too the maverick -

Another HARM thread, understanding what the HARM needs to target / hit
Hobel replied to void68's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Unfortunately this is not yet the case, the modes make no difference in principle, the harm always goes 40nm active and searches in an area over 180° which can always lead to difficulties. my opinion on the INS would also be that it is presented very pesimistically, the scattering is around 5nm, it should rather be in the range of a few hundred meters. -
And where does it say under what conditions the missle should be able to do this? As I said, our aim120 can achieve these values if the conditions are right Btw Wiki ist not a source
-
And that is more or less the case. Be 30-45,000 feet high at least 1.5m fast gives the missle 20° loft and yeet the thing away.

Source? And could you shed more light on the problematic situation?
-
What is the exact situation? Track or tacview?
-
So, even if the F-16's GPS is off and the INS has drifted by several hundred meters, the bomb should have no problem finding the target again at the actual coordinates if there is sufficient approach time In this example, after the artificial drift that I add and then look at the wrong target, you can see the coordinates displayed in the TGP 41-50-529 41-47-884 and this is the exact position of the actual target in the center from the X, yet the bomb flies to the left target Should the bomb still fly to the target in the center when it receives fresh data from the GPS?

known issue Multiplayer datalink share of detected air targets.
Hobel replied to Yaga's topic in Bugs and Problems
Perhaps this also has something to do with it. but are these “old” airplanes? does this mean that they were set in the ME before the Datalink update? does this also happen in new missions where “fresh” airplanes are available? -
updated previous report HAD RUK WEZ is largest of all POS modes.

ah now I've got it, will look -
updated previous report HAD RUK WEZ is largest of all POS modes.
Hobel replied to DCSMADDOG's topic in Bugs and Problems
See the bug report, there is basically no difference between 3 modes that changes the behavior of the AGM-88. it is always active 40nm before target and 180°Seeker search Area -
