  1. This is OB, if you have an issue please: - be more specific about the issues, your system and it’s settings - have you tried the basic recommendations from Flappie - if it’s still an issue, do what is always asked for and attached a log file As is, this is just a thread of “noise”, and there’s no way to help you
  2. If would be good for a Dev to comment from a knowledgeable position.
  3. Just been out testing, taking off from the Falklands islands using both the Apache and F15E. This is using 3080ti, DLAA and settings that happily give 50+ FPS on most other maps in VR with my Meta Quest Pro Rather oddly, it seems to be height related. i.e. with my Apache, below 900 feet and frame rate goes to pieces, i.e. 11fps or lower. During my cold start the FPS was 6. Above 900 feet and it was fine. My GPU was showing as having full memory and maxed out on it's performance. I tried playing with the grass, forest, scenery detail and forest detail. Even nearly minimising most of those seemed to make little difference. Unsurprisingly, that height related issue is a spot of bother on a map that I LOVE to fly down the valleys of. =============================================== Update: Haven't made any changes, but had another go today and it was spot on. Flew my Hind, Apache and Huey both on the mainland and the Falklands island itself with absolutely no issues. In short, false alarm. I'd love to know what's changed. Makes me wonder if the process for creation of the FXO/metashaders hadn't worked yesterday during the load and today it had another go and worked fine. Either way, great news from my side. Loved to be back in the map, particularly so in some of my helicopters. Thanks again Razbam, do love the map.
  4. Chaps, For those of you struggling with 2.9, please do take a look at the linked video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixzeCdeo1Hw It's not very long and in my opinion, should be watched by EVERYONE about to install 2.9. Note that I'm not a member of the AWG and have had no input into the video. Having said that, I DO agree with everything said in the video, and think that it's pretty much a "should watch". Infact I rate it so much, that I'm hoping ED will either replicate or, or link to it themselves as part of their guidance for when 2.9 goes out to the Stable user base. My thanks to the creators of the video. Had me hit the subscribe to channel button.
  5. If it helps anyone, I successfully use the following: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07K7DGKHN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 I use the above straps side to side over the headband for comfort. Dirt cheap and works really well https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FMYV5H6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 The above is the USB cable. Not expensive, and just works. I data stream AND power the unit with it https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VE4UJD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've ended up with 3 of these powered USB hubs and now run ALL of my USB peripherals off them. My Gigabyte motherboard has had USB failures and I wonder if that's a result of using them to power peripherals.
  6. Gotcha. So the DLSS/DLAA uses the latest AI enhanced logic, cool. Is frame generation planned in the future?
  7. This is the OPEN Beta version. You and some others might wish to consider it as the stable version, but it’s not. There are some implications of effectively being a beta tester
  8. To add to the above, that Civ sim is I believe single threaded and it’s VERY easy to bog it down.
  9. Great summary, thanks
  10. +1 I've just been out in both my Huey and Mirage BE over Dubai. I'm driving my Quest Pro with an old 9700 with a 3080ti. It looks utterly STUNNING! I'm using Mbucchias quad views for dynamic foveated rendering whilst massively helps the frame rate, then DLAA which massive improves the AA. Can't say thankyou enough to your team! Great job!
  11. Hi, just setup my controls for the BE and have been out for a flight. Again, fabulous stuff! I do love all of the variants of the Mirage that you've released so far. A quick question for yourselves. As mentioned, I took the BE out for a flight. Whilst airborne, I flipped into the rear set. VERY cool looking and I could see that I can happily control the joystick, throttle etc. What I noticed was that there were controls in the back for say the radio and nav systems. Their settings were clearly different to those in the front. How does that work on the real aircraft? Are the controls duplicated, do they replicate changes made in the front in the back and is there a method of priority?
  12. Quick update. With the 1.1.3 version I was getting a LOT of jitter with my QP. I reverted back to version 1.1.2 and that resolved it. The frame rate was fine. It seemed to be set off by physical movement of my head.
  13. Ace to see DLSS/DLAA have arrived. So far so good on my own system. A question for those using 4x Nvidia GPUs, is frame generation working and improving your frame rate?
  14. Price is up on their website, and cheaper than I expected. Awesome
  15. Looks like we had a recent Nvidia video driver update fairly recently. I've no idea whether it's needed or not, but out of prudence, it's probably worth doing instead of mashing our F5 keys.
  16. What are you thinking of?
  17. The current Virpil collective grips are already €200+. My guess is that we’re looking at €300-350.
  18. I’m really excited about DLAA as a result of what I’ve seen in that Civ sim. It’ll be interesting to see how well it works within DCS. I did watch a video this week comparing DLAA to TAA, and DLAA had the edge. That was a completely different game engine, so no guarantees, but fingers crossed.
  19. That's interesting. Wag's appears to be using DLAA and DLSS upscaling. I got the impression that it was one or the other, not both.
  20. Good spot, I missed that
  21. I’ve seen rumours suggesting that the Nvidia 5x GPUs “might” come out soon. Probably worth checking that some more before splashing the cash.
  22. I have my PD set at 1 in the Oculus toolkit and 1.25 in the settings.cfg for the Quad Views
  23. Would I be correct in assuming that the self correction system in say the Mossie is how we should expect the ADI in the Mustang to perform?
  24. Isn't the Varjo close enough for that? I got the impression that it's very good, though it does need base station(s).
  25. More likely a breakthrough in his sponsorship level...
