  1. That, and an AI-rework/update is being worked on as we speak. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  2. I wonder if this thread should be merged with the other one... We have a Caucasus 2.5 thread in the Maps-subforum (or was it Theaters..? aaaanyway), so I feel it is a tad confusing posting same things on two threads. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  3. :megalol:
  4. A clever idea! Though this would ultimately be a stopgap solution until VR devices come with high enough resolution.
  5. sort of: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3257021&postcount=504
  6. Good to know. We await further information in due time.
  7. This sounds very good indeed! Can you go into any details on draw distance for the smoke?
  8. Oh no! If RAZBAM keeps crashing all the Harriers they can't release the module due to all the repair and maintenance work required.
  9. As an analogy - even if you tell your boss you have a busy morning with the kids tomorrow, you are still expected to report if you actually miss your morning. Polite and professional. ED and 3rd parties - in my opinion - have a bad habit of not actually addressing passing a date (even though this was just a prediction, not a promise) when it happens. No hard feelings. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  10. An AI AC-130 could also be controlled via CA... not simulator-level in-cockpit or anything, but just to have the asset in human hands would be really cool indeed. that might wind up some interesting scenarios. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  11. Given that the time window they themselves have repeatedly stated is just about closed, I would say even "we don't have any new info" on the subject would be appropriate at this point in time. It is part of polite manners to give a *timely* report if you are going to miss a particular time, even if you don't give any other info with it - don't leave people hanging. And this is regards to anything, not just DCS release dates (or predictions of). Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  12. So. Q3 is just about over, and ED has been speaking of a pre-order before release. My assumption is thus, that Harrier will not be released on Q3. Now, that is all fine as long as the module is good when it eventually comes out, but I feel most here would now like to know what is going on, and how is it looking for the Harrier - an update of sorts. Are we perhaps looking at a release in the *actual* near future, or are there issues keeping the release at bay for some time yet? Zeus? Prowler? Any info would be helpful at this point, since the original time schedule seems to not be valid anymore. No negativity intended. This is just a query for information. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  13. Now we are just wishing that the preorder starts today.... Seems Q3 is missed in regards to release, but at least we would know that it is definitely coming. Especially given that preorders usually mean published release dates in DCS. Hmm hmm.
  14. Heh. Wheel chocks will create some interesting "bug reports". "I can't move my aircraft"
  15. The screens look very good. It will be a brilliant aircraft to fly close formation with.
  16. We know only when we get there.
  17. RAZBAM has given the Harrier into EDs hands two weeks ago, meaning they were on time. Now it is up to ED to decide when it will be polished enough to be published... so I don't think RAZBAM can give you an answer for that even if they wanted to. ED also stated that there will be a preoroder period... but for all anyone here knows, that could start today or a month from now. And it might take a couple of days or over a month after that to actually get the module in our hands. In short... as long as Q3 is still here we might get the Harrier - or at least the preorders... Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  18. Agreed! Though, setting this up for VR users should only be done with the utmost care, since all non-player-initiated movements in VR are the worst in inducing motion sickness. As for normal desktop use... yes, I want this.
  19. I'll leave this right here:
  20. Sounds like an incredibly cumbersome design from the pilot's perspective... But good to know...
  21. Even with aircraft such as the A-10C, that you can program your own waypoints etc. it is imperative that during a multiplayer match one can alter their own route to achieve current mission goals (assuming the mission is "dynamic"-style with changing goals depending on opposing force's actions). A flight is always preplanned to some degree. The ability to create and alter waypoints in the aircraft is only there to compensate for situations where you can't do preplanning or there is something wrong with the data cartridge contents. Having a feature where you could change your own flight plan (or perhaps even your whole flight's if you are the flight lead) would improve multiplayer a lot. I mean no disrespect toward the hard working modders here, but having to work around this limitation in DCS is only that - a workaround. This should be a standard feature. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  22. I guess I was wrong about friday updates.
  23. Mostly it is a matter of practice, as are mosg things, but... First off, you can set up curves for your pedals on an aircraft by aircraft basis. I tailor my controller curves on all axes for every plane to suite the accuracy and response I need to play. Secondly the wider the pedals the easier it is to fine-control the ball. That said you can definately be proficient with any pedals as long as they are working as intended. Thirdly, DCS aircraft are tuned to the real life counterparts, and real aircraft typically require quite a bit of force to move the pedals compared to any PC controller pedals. This might be rectified with adjustable pedal stiffness, but it really only adds the required force, but not the same control feel, which can't really be achieved without force feedback. So I suggest going with setting up some curves to your pedals and then just a ton of practice. Try to find the feel where your feet should be at on a typical turn. Soon you won't have to think about it. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  24. I don't see it happening... They just didn't have an update ready this wednesday, and it will be pushed to the next.
  25. I agree. This should be a stock feature in the core game.
