I've figured out how to make a semi-realistic SEAD "script" using several triggers. Essentially, if an enemy SAM site detects a Shrike or other ARM within its zone, it kills the radar for a randomized amount of time. As of now, it takes approximately 7 triggers for each SAM site to work. How can I turn this trigger logic into an executable lua script that I can instead attach to each unit, saving time and simplifying the trigger list? I've attached the test mission below. Thanks in advance! SEAD_Test.miz

Congratulations guys!!!!

I personally like the new FM. Many jets have elevator authority as low as 70 knots. Keep in mind, that's a MASSIVE stabilizer moving back there and can move a lot of air. Low-speed tail strikes are definitely a thing.

Funny, I too had similar thoughts..

Hey, would be awesome to have the post-cold war factory demo scheme redone for the new MiG-29 (A or C) model: Can someone give a hand to this?
-
So just to clarify - Before, I was using the T50 base with the Warthog grip as just a plug-and-play unit. Windows recognized them both and the base + grip buttons worked as advertised. I noticed, however, that for some reason, windows would indicate full after stick deflection when in reality I had about 20% more aft travel yet to go. So I decided to load the Virpil software and followed the manual to try and get it to detect the full range of motion. The first issue I ran into was for some reason the virpil software had the X and Y axes inversed, but then I noticed the software wasn't detecting any of the buttons on the grip. I had not changed anything except software and unplugguing/replugging the USB cable during this whole process (i.e. no unplugging the grip from the base). Is there a different profile to load or setting I need to change to get the software to detect the grip?

I'm having trouble getting the Configuration tool to recognize the buttons on my Thrustmaster Warthog grip. I got the calibration tool to work for the axes, but now it won't recognize the buttons. Any help?

That's hard for most folks, SZ... go easy -
What new feature of the Hornet are you most looking forward to?

HARM/Shrike SEAD capabilities -
Do you have a "generic" version in the pack with adjustable bort numbers that maybe ED would include in the base livery pack... your work is amazing!
-
Or maybe its for reasons you don't quite know... kind of a rough assumption to make, isn't it?
-
Not a silly question at all and certainly a valid one, but yes, I have them cranked up. I'll see if I can get a video of my current status. It seems related to what others are getting
-
Awesome, thank you for the response, this was really helpful. I wonder if I could use the sound files the Hornet uses?

Multi-page threads often get ignored or buried in Dev's minds. From personal experience, I also know that especially in the world of DCS, many bugs which are well known to users, are often not reported to ED or developers. By reminding and posting, it creates a demand for a fix. And developers are absolutely allowed to release timelines, though in this case, a "we're currently working on it/we have a fix in place/or/could you provide more data so we can look into it would all be welcome. I'm sure your intentions are good, but your point is moot unless you represent ED, or a developer, or can give me any useful information as to how I can fix my personal build of DCS. I apologize if my tone sounds curt, but now we have several replies to a thread that have nothing to do with the question I asked, or the bug at hand.
-
Wow... I have never once heard that tone, and the Harrier was a Day-1 purchase and download for me
-
I appreciate that you reply to every bug report about the Harrier, and my situational awareness is just fine, but I'm asking when it will be working as advertised, not how to get around it
-
Ever since the release of the Harrier, I have not had properly working RWR sounds. All I get is a chirp when a new radar is detected, but no lock, no launch tones. Is this being worked on and can we expect any sort of fix in the near future? Thanks -Sport

Very excellent event, can’t wait to do another one! -
Amazing work bud! I can’t wait to feature one of these skins in a video I’m working on. If I had to choose ONE, which would it be?

That's something I need to do, but know very little about it. Does anyone have a nice "in the middle" setting they can share with the group? -

I encourage you to help us be part of the solution, to make DCS a multi-player friendly simulation, where we can attract a larger audience and community of people who yearn for a massive multiplayer realistic combat flight simulator. In fact, come join us on the more popular multiplayer servers and see the issues we're talking about first hand! Hopefully you'll have fun and maybe see a few of the bugs the people in this thread are pointing out first hand, and possibly find a better way of reporting them - If any one could, I'm sure it'll be you! You watch any twitch streamer long enough and you'll see the issues we're mentioning. You'll see the frustration that so many people have - things that I wouldn't exactly want broadcast across the interwebs about MY game. EXAMPLE: https://clips.twitch.tv/AuspiciousScaryFiddleheadsDoubleRainbow To all those replying in this thread, I encourage you to be civil, and to post tracks, twtich clips, videos, etc highlighting some of the more frustrating aspects of multi-player, so we can help ED address the issues and make it more attractive for new people to come into. I'm sure most of you, like myself, LOVE the product ED has created and find the ability to fly some legendary combat aircraft with and against our friends to be the most enjoyable part - so lets make our voices heard, but do so in a civil and helpful manner - leave your emotions at the door!
