I usually use tracks to record since I can choose the best camera angles easier and plan out shots better, but if you slow the track down and record at 1/2 or 1/4 speed then speed it back up in post, you can get smoother frames

Strobe lights stay on from when the plane enters the runway environment for takeoff to when it exits on landing. Landing lights (pulse or steady) usually go off at 18,000 SOURCE: am a professional pilot

Well this is where something like MOOSE could come in handy, if someone could write a script to randomize air traffic in and out of KLAS. In my mind, you'd need 2 different spawn categories: Hi-altitude transient aircraft (for high-alt contrails) which once out of the area descend and land at McCarran, and aircraft that spawn in from KLAS and take off, either to another location, or come back and land at the origin. You just need them to populate the skies and area, not to actually fly an accurate route. If you randomize it correctly and have the appropriate cleanup scripts it could look very realistic

Just curious, how long ago did you order it? I've asked for updates a few time now (the answer has always been 'hopefully next week') and I still don't have mine. Its frustrating...

Email inbound now... I've been waiting 5 weeks

So this has happened a time or two, and even saw it occur one one of Ralfidude's videos, but I was flying on BlueFlag NTTR this afternoon, and lost my missile tone in the middle of an engagement, I had no idea if I had a lock or weather or not my missile was caged or uncaged. A little while later, tone came back without me changing anything. Is this a bug or is there a cycle time for cooling of the seeker head that has been added recently? Thanks

Again, slight differences in the angle in which the photo was taken, and two completely different focal lengths... Make a big difference (I am also a photographer)

Camera focal length is probably issue here. There's a lot more telephoto compression in the actual photo, while the screenshot is a wide-angle. I bet if you can replicate the camera focal length, you'll find they're probably similar

I see both sides of it, but at the same time, if companies like VKB, Virpil, and TM are making these "modular" HOTAS systems, it would be nice to offer the consumer the options of assembling their own units, based on personal preference and play style. At the same time, I understand their concerns about firmware. Further, from a branding standpoint, I can see why they would only want to sell THEIR sticks with THEIR base. Don't exactly want to market for your competitors, do you? All that being said, I wish I could buy the base standalone as well...

So it's settled, we're all looking forward...

That's good, but I haven't seen any reports of people receiving them yet. Not a criticism, but I would like to see a review of a product before I purchase. Its a significant investment for a blind purchase...
