UPDATE as of open beta 2.8.1.34667 the ghosting in day mode on Virtual cockpit is gone, but now it is very dim on multimonitor in night mode.. wow.. ED, these multimonitor export capability is amazing.. though i spend more time in VR, i decided to mess around with DIY hardware After user @Purzel shared how to get TEDAC export working without need for special lua files, i had to play around just some issues to resolve as trying out open beta version DCS 2.8.0.32235.1. 1) virtual cockpit (in game) TDU display ghosting when multimonitor exporting is enabled in DAY mode (setting TDU to night mode is OK) 2) the image highly differs (contrast/brightness) between virtual cockpit (in game) to the exported TEDAC displayport to multimonitor. **note my secondary monitor settings match that of my main monitor** also want to point out when looking at the TEDAC image against and AH64D MDF with VID / CPG SIGHT image select, you can also see this difference of in game image quality.. other than that... it is much easier to video TEDAC on a multimonitor than in VR... wish the image quality matched both the TDU and CPG SIGHT thru MFD other than that, AMAZING to have TEDAC working with multimonitors.. thank you ED

I was able to get the export to work, no special lua files needed except appending for the one that @Purzel described... but of course customizing the actual multimontior config file specific to your multimonitors setup.. SIMPLY AMAZING... thanks for the find..

What is current situation with MFD exports?
hannibal replied to markturner1960's topic in Multi-Display
I been out of date with the situation with exporting tedac since I primarily ah64d with VR... Before I was able to export tedac via some edited lua files via shkval displayport..but I hear now the tedac has its own natively.. How is everyone getting the tedac to display on separate monitor? I can get the mfd with no problem.. -

I was able finish on of the grips last night. Had one problem where using heat gun for the shrinks ended up fusing one set of wires causing a short..luck I found the short.. but, yea soldering this is intense.. prob 2-3 hours to prep pov hats for both grips.. another 3-4 hours to wire up the the dual stage triggers for both grips, and 3 hours each grip to get the panel of hats wired with rest of buttons. If I were to make many grips, I probably would have tried to learn how to make IC boards. But it took 4 months to develop the stl files so, I didn't want to spend an eternity. Hope to finish the left grip soon.. My next project will be a simple fun doorgun controller, just waiting for mi24p to support joysticks for the gunner

I am very late to the DCS BIOS game... if someone were to build a Guage panel, and use it for multiplayer with IC (integrity check) will the panel work? I know dcs-bios uses lua exports..I'm just concerned that, joining a server with export limitations will render the Guage panel useless..

mirrors blurring when in game... it is ok, when i press escape to bring up menu... regardless i am in multi or single player, i get this distortion of mirrors when i am in the air for all aircraft F18, F14 A10C, A10A and others in VR on the ground, the mirrors behave normally.. this situation for since october...

F-14 v2.8 - Jamming, JESTER, and Headless Bodies!

If F14 has been this amazing.. I can't even imagine what A6E will be like.. -
my situation. looking to build a low profile light weight mock doorgun controller (in anticipation for joystick control of mi24 doorgun) i need it light weight so that i can mount it on my motion platform. i had previously built a doorgun joystick resembling a minigun with vibration effects powered by small tactile feedback pucks (bass shakers) pushed by andre's simshakre software... IT WORKS AMAZING but it was a massive undertaking to build and would be too heavy to mount on my motion rig. im going for a simpler build and already have an idea on how to build, but it will lack vibration until i can find a solution.. that doesnt use buttkickers (because the shakers are just heavy) vibration motors seem to be my solution, but i have no idea yet on how to implement... will have to get my head into vibration circuits.. my goal is to have it read lua export send data as off/on state to arduino to send voltage to vibration motors... any mad scientists in here?
