i also have JTAC issues in multiplayer, maybe because i dont know how it works. last night i setup a mission with a JTAC and hosted the mission had a friend join. He was able to tune to JTAC frequency, do the nineline, and have the JTAC lase a group of Armor. not problem with taking out the first armored vehicle, but then the JTAC would SHIFT, but we cant get a proper lase on the second armor. if someone can clue us in on what we are doing, would be nice. i think someone mentioned we were flying in to target from wrong direction on second target...

after some thought, most likely just design something based off the F14 lantirn control grip. in mean time, working on other projects. will revisit this later after a doorgun project and generic MFD project. maybe by then we will see the actual controls scheme from razbam thanks for info!

Been watching alot of videos on the M2 Browning Ma' Deuce, now inspired to make a wanna be controller, that will be functional for the UH-1H and Mi24P doorgun position. (hoping it will work for SA342 minigun variant and ch47 Chinook in future) **UPDATE** 07.26.2023 Eagle Dynamics added joystick binds to the Mi24P doorgun, so this build is working The minigun build is a blast to use, but agony to build. Trying to make this a fun project! ***NOTE**** if you plan to incorporate a bass shaker, you should add a relay to the trigger circuit, else any butt kicker out put will go to the shaker regardless if you are pulling the trigger our not, butt kicker wiring diagram TBA LINK TO STL FILES Spade Grip assembly https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5863116 Top Gimbal Section https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5927492 Gimbal Base Section https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5932560 DCS Axis Controls and Button Assignments mappings: axis doorgun slew LEFT/RIGHT, axis doorgun slew UP/DOWN VR Re-center Fire Weapon Move Camera View Right Move Camera View Left Move Camera View Up, Move Camera View Down Move Camera View Forward Move Camera View Back Radio PTT List Parts (so far) : 2x M3-20mm screw (switch housing) 4x 1/4-20 x 3/4" bolt and nylock nut (mounting grips to c-bar) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BLKSYV3M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1-1/4 in. x 2 ft. And there are two C-bars, with different size holes at the middle, pay attention when installing the grips, if incorrect, the housing will be upside down 9 install M5 nylock nuts inside the body frame. 10 Mount body frame to the c-bars with 4x M5 x20mm screws 11 solder 4x 12mm buttons with diode and wires. Also solder diode to toggle switches. Attach buttons and toggle switches to grip. 12 run wires through holes at top of the switch. And then channel wires through housing body. Leave slack / extra wire to later connect to gimbal 13 connect pvc pipe to housing back plate with M4 screws.

you were right. ghosting caused by the motion blur enabled. once i disabled motion blur. ghosting be gone. nice to have the mirrors back!

alot of mappings! thanks for info.. i can picture some of where it goes.. others not. then that circular hat is on the right for the F15E, but in the middle for F14.. on the F14, the circular hat would be a thumb joystick with analog controls for lantirn slewing, wondering what commands would require thumb joystick for the WSO what would you call the circular hat on the WSO grip? i guess better to revisit this topic until F15E is released. will be busy designing MFD once my LCDs come in!

the Tedac MFD, i used a leo bodnar board Bu0386 for button functionality. but because there are just switches, you can also use arduino.. doesnt have to be a bodnar board. i forgot what i switches i used in the TEDAC MFD. i currently looking to make standalone mfd's.. ill try to share more info on that when i get my LCDs

i dont make missions often, came to occasion to practice F14 bombing so i made a mission, a fun mission to including bombing ships. but i wasnt able to have a JTAC lase a battlecruiser... google results from 2 years ago, says it is not possible... only ground targets.. is this still the case on current open beta? at least may i ask, what can a JTAC or Reaper lase?
-
are there any details about the controls for the WSO? are they like the Lantirn Grip for the F14? are they nothing like normal flight controls in which there is no gimbal X/Y axis? i imagine just like the RIO Lantirn grips, it is fixed... probably has dual stage triggers... theres not much info about the F15E WSO control grips.. if razbam can share button assignments.. would be nice!

Even when @mbucchia gets hate.. he just keeps giving love. You have given us light to dcs vr performance. Cant thank u enough

looking at several mfd layouts and seeing how i can configure button sizes to accomodate trying making mfd with lcd's on the cheap!

Polychop Simulations OH-58D Kiowa
hannibal replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
though dev is taking long, dont matter, as long as it is done right. i am grateful to know that multicrew is a big possibilty for this module. keep doing what your doing -
Now that the recent open beta patch has brought native OpenXR support to DCS.. is there a possibility of foveated rendering support for DCS? especially for Varjo Aero, Meta Quest Pro users, and what ever headsets that have eye tracking technology... @NineLine @Flappie @mbucchia

since i cant begin a doorgun control project, decided start thinking of making MFD using 10" lcd's hoping to make mfd to be used for most aircraft. ordered some stuff https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800339353006.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.20.63591802OnrA4g&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa ***UPDATE*** generic MFD project is now complete. sharing stl files on thingiverse. good luck anyone who wants to build. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6091421 have to figure out a generic layout suitable for F15E, F18C and AH64D

just ordered some 10" LCDs! only 2 for now.. i plan to make 3d printed MFD set with functional LCDs https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255801011995017.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.3b0d38daJ20Vos&mp=1&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US when finished, will put them for use for AH64D copilot gunner and F15E WSO

as of Open Beta 2.8.1.34667, the NS430 pop-up panel floats in front of the player view and stays in front of view no matter where i look, it is very annoying. other pop-ups, including the show controls indicator, the kneeboard do not do this!! please have the NS430 stay in one place instead of following the player view, it is almost unusable... having to always turn on/off popup just to look at NS430, then turn off to do other cockpit functions/flying, then turn it back on.. then off.. then on. having the NS430 pop up, it is more intuitive to glance over NS430 to do something, then glance to other areas of importance in cockpit.. sincerely NS430 VR user...

on my controller, i have mapped the commands "move camera forward, back, up down, left right" under the view cockpit category to align the view as per user preference. i have no complaints by its operation. if it was un-usable. then i would not be going thru this whole setup.

im tempted to make a 3d print of the WSO control grips. they look fixed like the F14 lantirn... a controller that can serve for aircraft.... but a doorgun project is supposed to be next in my project list, waiting for mi24 to have functionality for it..

ok cool. thanks @Callsign JoNay!

my pilot has already removed them before take off. once in the air, and with gears up, you can see wheel chocks sticking out of the plane. its an obvious glitch, and has happened a few times.
