  1. I don't know. Open it up in the editor and look at mission success and triggers. It tells you the whole story of a mission.
  2. 1) Moved the IP just west of Kelevi. (THE IP WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE TARGET) 2) Sped up WP2 (IP) to 500. 1st time I ran it the 300 speed at the IP made the plane loop round, speed up and then attack. 2nd time the speed was sufficient to make a straight in attack. I didn't this time, but normally I would add a WP so that the flight overflys the target. Even though I didn't, the attack was still a success. One last thing, I increased the altitude to 1500. I don't think this matters as the Su dove in during its attack run. Simples.
  3. thanks sinelnic. Only just jumped on this thread as the op had the same processor as i'm running. As you can imagine, i also believe in long term HW investment (lol, running an old 939 still)!!!
  4. Dude, I have that same X2 4400 cpu (8800 gts 320mb card though) and am going to upgrade when i5 / DX11 / win 7 comes out in oct/sept time. I was rather hoping for a FAR greater increase in fps than that :( The only thing really trying to persuade me to get an i7 was that, as it is a "heavier" processor, I thought it would be better for flight sims over i5. I don't need its x16 SLI support, so if it's only a few fps it looks even more promising for i5!!!! :music_whistling: Before anyone comments, I'm not 100% certain of dx11 cards....looking at initial prices / performance gains and price drops across the board for 4890s etc after their release  as a ps; could anyone recommend that i get a 1gig 4870 / 4890 to see a jump in fps? I would have thought the old 4400 would be a hell of a bottleneck......
  5. Yes, it's a shame there's not more autonomy in the AI. As I haven't tested any of my mission yet, I think I'll have a lot of testing ahead when I get back home! For your Predator, you could have it run an attack pattern, and when it get to within missile range....set a trigger to destroy a target 10 seconds later say? Not what anyone would really want, but a work around. edit: yes, ac130 would be a great asset!
  6. Well i've just set up a mission with an AC-130 (actually a russion an76 because I forgot to set USA on my side ) orbiting an enemy base. I've set trigger points around its course and they set up the trigger "explode unit xxx". Haven't tested it yet as i'm on holiday at my parent using an un-activated version (their computer wouldn't handle the 3D :megalol: hope this helps.
  7. Well to honest for me the 2 main things missing in the DCS series is a dynamic (ish) campaign and A-G radar. A-10....seen it before. AH-64 A ...souped up blackshark. Loving Blackshark and not griping against it, but would so love to do a 2 second pop up to get an area radar coverage - prioritise targets and let loose 6-7 hellfires in ripple mode :D
  8. Air-Ground radar would be great.....but lots of work......................:music_whistling: Could this be why "we're" sticking to older aircraft??? :(
  9. Okay...... there have been people expressing difficulties with the new trim feature. I also had problems with catastrophic crashing (helicopter) after trimming at low level. So I reverted to the old way. Still had them. So, looked at the joystick view...... and here it is....... drum roll please: Are your joystick pots spiking? Obviously if you don't have pots for your joystick there may still be an issue, but since mine was spiking in the vertical, it goes without saying that if I was trimming, and just at the wrong moment the pot would spike....BOOM - you've trimmed too far and it's adios amigos!!! So - anyone still having troubles with trim - clean your pots. worked for me :D LOL - and if this has already been posted - SOZ :music_whistling:
  10. Thanks a lot. Seems smoother and after learning to fly pre patch, it seems like i'm cheating using the new trimmer ;) So, so easy!!!
  11. I'm getting a corrupted file...... EDIT: Downloading fine now. :music_whistling:
  12. I'm still flying invincible. (SO can't be arsed to fly 20 miles after a silly mistake ) If I do a high-g 180 to the hover, and then hit autohover, sometimes the autopilot flashes and disengages. I think this may have been due to stress overload? This could be your answer....? My TV display also kicks out sometimes....again i guess due to me yanking and banking too hard :D
  13. Can't help you with the editing. Have read that it can be done however. Why don't you just load up each campaign mission via the editor. That way you can enjoy ALL the missions without the hassle of repeating any if you muck up or exit to go for a c&%p ;)
  14. As Dave (big number) said, zooming in game is good. I've set up my ant elev on the cougar for it, and another button for zoom reset.
  15. airea - NOT pause the game, pause track IR. It Stops the cockpit head moving so you can play with the Abris etc. NEVER had Track IR centre my view unless I press the centre button on the stick. :(
  16. Been flying my own missions with excellent wingmen. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Every time - firing from stand off range. I HAVE had major issues with brain dead wingmen, so I guess it was because the mission creator made them less than excellent. that's the answer then.......make sure you've trained your wingmen up :pilotfly:
  17. In track IR you have 3 user defined hotkeys (as i'm sure you're aware). Pause - Centre - Precision. Pause just stops Track IR so you can move your head about without it affecting the Sim. I generally pause Track IR when I'm zoomed into the pvr800 to enter coordinates for TPs. Also handy when bombing in to deliver a load of rockets :megalol:
  18. Yep, another "good idea" post. Would be great if there could be 5 or 6 new missions a week. Let's hope that with a patch we can get some new missions..........:D
  19. For that function (if I read you right) I just pause the track IR. e.g. zoom in to switch / mfd - pause. click keys and then unpause.
  20. Sir Terry Pratchett wrote: "always be wary of someone with a humble opinion"... (or something similar) ;) In my humble opinion the campaign is ^*%!. There, I've said it. Ed have obviously put so much effort into a flight model that the campaign has been "forgotten". A key aspect of any mission is surely PLANNING. How can someone fly a mission without having a detailed map view and editing waypoints? Forget the campaigns. Fly each mission from the editor. Missions on their own are fantastic :P You can then look at the flight plan in further detail, add Target points etc. I've flown all the campaigns / missions that come with the English version and am actually doing them all over again, adding and tweaking units as I go. Now what we need is weekly mission packs, because I for one will be bored once i've flown repeated missions times and again. Edit: Sorry OP, which campaign file is it? (A1.4 etc). I'll take a look at the mission file to see the mission goals etc.
  21. Edit after graywo1fg's reply.... Surely adding a FARP should also have added the vehicles. Bit of a drag having to slap in the correct vehicles to actually get it active. Adding to that, if some kind soul could also maybe create a template for other systems such as SAMs, with their associated support vehicles that'll be great ... I never did learn which paraphelania goes with each SAM... :music_whistling: erm, you can import group templates, yeah?
  22. Thank you thank you.......running out of missions to fly.....downloaded and ready to hunt some SAMs Much needed! :megalol: Yep, just flown and a very tidy mission. Just like I would make (not the tidy bit, but the "fly low and eliminate the SAM for the jets to do the rest" mission ;) ) Would have got taken out during the egress if I wasn't immortal.....didn't bother checking for other AAA on the way home......
  23. WOW, I've managed to ween myself off labels, but this sounds like a lot of work. Look forward to downloading and flying. Always good to practice adjusting firing locations.
  24. Bump
  25. thnx :music_whistling:
