  1. Thanks for the work. Love the flying in the valley with the fog. Just for me, I need subtitles. Never have been able to fully understand radio chatter..... In mission 1 when I got to the burnt out bmps I heard the chatter but didn't know what to do. Fly on or blast em! This is MY fault, and not on your end ;-) Gunna take a look at the 2nd one now. Cheers.
  2. Again, thanks. That's where I found out about FF being enabled and made me think about the wheel!
  3. Cool, and thanks again! Edit: Mission complete. I noticed forcefeedback was set to on (I have a cougar). Unplugging my steering wheel has solved the problem. Weird as at one point I used the pedals for rudder and it was fine. Now to blast some tanks.
  4. Thank you and tried that. It's the old "well it worked the other day" kind of problem. The only change is that i've gone from an NV8800GTS to xfire 5700s. I think this setup SHOULDN'T affect this problem. (?) If I didn't lose one of my installs I would think about reinstalling.
  5. Hi. Just loaded BS up after a break to play the new campaigns and i've found a glitch (for my setup) that i've never had before. Rudder trim works, stick trim doesn't. Press trim reset, and the rudders go neutral...so it is working - of a sorts. The stick just doesn't ...."stick" in my trimmed mode, it goes back to it's centre, even when the rudders are held in place. Am I being a real dork and forgetting something? thanks for any help, and yes I did a quick search.
  6. Totally a personal point of view, but I would rather fly with trackIR and no joystick (keys) than the other way round. :music_whistling:
  7. Running Win7 and I too have just had TIR fail. Rebooted = nothing. Changed usb port and it was picked up and is now running again. Hopefully it was a random glitch.....:P
  8. BUT The display port adaptor NEEDS to be powered. +£100 from what I hear..... Better than buying an expensive monitor but ATI aren't exactly advertising the fact..... Now if i've read incorrect information, and a cheapo one works fine...... well GREAT!!!
  9. Outstanding.....
  10. Yep, having it on the throttle (on the cougar) is definitely a better idea i reckon!
  11. Well I hope you guys have display port monitors. From what I gather, to get 3 monitors up and running like we would want..... one of them HAS to be display port......... 2xdvi + 1xHDMI will not work......
  12. Thank you so much. Will be buying a 940 soon and will pop back here 1st so I can put your testing to good use
  13. Few!!! Seems to be a server upgrade. SIMHQ
  14. Thanks dude....can't wait for them to appear in Blighty :-)
  15. well, i guess if the nasty bombers activated: a) out of line of sight from the convoy (behind a hill / building and ran away) b) after another 10-20 seconds when the convoy has moved on ...the player would have stuff to do.
  16. Try labels on till your feeling more confident? Or maybe only toggle then when you're getting overworked.
  17. Triggers and zones. Have a group of nasty car bombers inactive. no.4 car of friendly forces drives into blast zone = blow up unit 4 *** set flag 1 flag 1 true = activate group of nasty car bombers to run away Bring on your fire fight? *** you can tweak timing by setting time after flag = 5 seconds blow up unit. Hope you get your answer at some point
  18. Thanks for the heads up, tried to give thanks but it seems i've already given rep in this thread....... erm, link please? looked on uk and us site but couldn't find. (you know after posting and searching a bit more I'll find it myself)!!!! pre-edit: link :megalol:
  19. It works as described.
  20. Well, to bump 2 very good ideas: Grouping of all objects to make a template would be fantastic. The FARP here I would love to use, but dragging all components to the area i want is just a.....drag!! And the 3d view. Oh yes please. Having to load up a mission and see if an arty piece is hidden by trees is.....a drag :music_whistling:
  21. Another "cheat" I do to draw the pilots attention to the general area is to set an explosion followed by a message of ...."we've just had a near miss...did you see it?" (hell yeah :P)
  22. Maybe set up concentric trigger zones. Each time you fly closer to the infantry it triggers another flare. I've just created a night mission and had the infantry firing "illumination mortars". Not realistic but they sure as hell work!!! Maybe you could also trigger a su-25 flying in, to mark the target? Guided by a fac on the ground. You don't need to have the AI firing the bombs......set up a trigger so that once the 25 has flown by, illumination bombs could fire off 1 every 2 mins???? ***edit*** - just actually read the original post and the illumination idea was of course cr**!!! I also haven't used the WP explosion. will look into that one too!
  23. Just moved the WP north. Well i'm in your boat at the moment. My brain is frazzled with targeting. Trying to get a 4 ship to airbase attack without turning round to re-aquire it...... Will post more tomorrow, but let's just say whilst editing a big mission I ended up deleting it.....2 hours wasted :music_whistling: 50/50 between punching the monitor and crying.....ended up slumped shoulders and re-doing it. Still not happy. The only thing worse than work is doing the work all over again!!!
  24. Think i'm the only flyer that really doesn't care about the start up. Not enough time in the day for it i'm afraid. Engines already running for me.
  25. lol.....im currently making a campaign with no speech. Don't think my voice acting is up for any kind of challenge! Maybe if I get time I may add some, but it'll be dodgy as hell!! For other's missions, would prefer English speech (with or without accent) / English subtitles personally.
