  1. Janes Fighters Anthology is the first one I ever owned.
  2. AMD sealed the deal with being Sonys supplier with the ps4 (that thing just keeps on rolling)
  3. Will the displaying of who's taking off from where in the chat be disabled?
  4. I really like this, and it makes me wish we had a real dynamic campaign to play in. BUT This is pretty dang close to that minus troop movements (infantry/armor actually moving around the map in real time based on current conditions following orders, reporting information back) Organization is hard, I have crappy brevity skills but I'm working on it, also it's alittle un-nerving but more flight leads are needed (and not the ones who think they should be leads) the GCI's are over loaded, people need to actually use the different rooms in teamspeak based on their missions and use the whisper function or basically the chain of command. I just started really looking over the SOP and maps, getting ideas on approaches and stuff. Today was fun, I was in a 25t and the GCI diverted me from the FARP I was going to attack and had me be the bait (i should have flew alittle higher at fast). It was unverving and bold, I liked it.
  5. I use the plays.tv software and it's pretty good and simple to upload to the site. Wondering how I could just simply embed the video in a post on the dcs forums, like you can with a youtube or vv or rt video. I see html is turned off. So I'm not sure how I would.
  6. I like this idea. Would make pilots more responsible in the more popular servers that try to maintain realism (104th, Blueflag). I don't want this as a ironclad rule online, but having servers that really push the pilot/player I certainly would welcome and probably hangout there mostly
  7. It's honestly awesome and really makes you feel like your training at home (if your a American). Plus it really does make for some hectic Red Dawn scenarios.
  8. You guys already have a eastern front. Battle of the Caucasus You would just need to recreate it for 42-44.
  9. Will this map come with a pretty young french girl?
  10. Also, unless you have top of the line GPU (980ti or FuryX/390xs) your not going to need high refresh rates over 60, I don't get how you guys are slamming out 150 at 1440p, but you can only see 144 frames max anyway if you have a 144hz monitor. g sync/free sync helps i don't think the cards this year are going to be a big jump, its more about smaller form factor this year i keep reading
  11. Its sharper and easier to read. Try this, downscale your current resolution from 1080 to 720p, they difference their would be like the difference from dropping from 1440p to 1080p.
  12. Are you using the vanilla terrain textures?
  13. Yeah, I would have hit the dirt, but before they even knew what happened it was already over I'm sure.
  14. Okay, now I think the only way to do this would be a 'Star Citizen' style type interior for b17/b24/lancaster types. Meaning, basically you can leave your seat and move around to the various stations (gunner spots, radio, nav/bomb). It's the only way now to do these planes justice, plus it would be the virtual equivilant of a real passenger ride now. Holy crap, maybe they are really already doing this... just modeling the Dorsal and belly gun positions would require a lot of work to get correct and right. Imagine, watching your online squadron or 8 friends all lining up on the tarmac, marching out the the bomber. Everyone climbing in, posing for screenshots...., then each man goes to his postion and presses the "sit/man" button and then u get a cute animation of him taking his seat or or climbing into the gunner spot. Infact, now i wish we actually had to walk up to anyplane now and "climb in" lol ala star citizen, i believe
  15. I'm bringing this topic back to the top. New Mustang owner here, picked it up with the high stakes campaign.
  16. If they would release a game like Microprose "B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty Eight' for a DCS level of B17, it would be amazing, with real people gunning for you and a navigator/bomber guy, order the crew around. Deal with systems failing under attack...."ENGINE 3 ON FIRE, SHUTTING HER DOWN" "109s 11 OCLOCK HIGH!!!!" I swear between this and War thunder not making any bomber cockpits makes me wonder if businesses are all trying to tie into upcoming HBO mini series 'the mighty eighth' (think band of brothers/the pacific with a bomber crew) and drop surprise announcements.

  18. +1 For a P-38 Lighting, I would fly that alot, also it would be a tough DCS high fidelity plane to master I believe.
