Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
microvax replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
No Idea how that would happen. -
Palit Gamerock and Jetstream are great, their cooler is amazing, but also very big. Runs my 1080 on a 2ghz clock speed below 70degrees on full load. And while doing so practically inaudible. But as said, 3 slot, very big cooler. If you have the space I would go for one of their 1070s with that cooler design. [look for jetstream/gamerock in the name.].

Thats amazing ! :D Thought it was leatherneck again, at first. :D

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

FARPs have allways been 20 minutes and no incremental repairs. :) -
nope, panic release is fixed.
-
Will there be units in the mission editor to set up road bases on Viggen release ? I mean one can stop gap with FARPs next to roads. But would be nice to have the appropriate units at hand. :)
-
Because the function is already there, it only does not work. Also Wags stated that the feature will work on the Normandy map out of the box. So I really thing its t3 which it doesnt work with. Which seems reasonable regarding the state clipping of objects is in with t3. :D You can already designate anything as a storage building and then just place the supply vehicles afaik. FARP are just an easy solution if the team doesnt want to add more strategic positions. Finding a place where you can possibly turn around is more of a challenge. You can do it with the mirage but its pretty stop gap. :D Not saying having deployable road bases out of the box wouldnt be nice. It would be very much indeed. But I am just not seeing it happen close to Viggen release. :D

You have to get with high alt with speed and keep that or you will never get over the induced drag of high alpha with enginepoweronly. At least was like that before and makes sense to me ! :D
-
Sorry if I did misunderstand you, just too used to having to defend Devs from non Dev people on theese forums which are just like "whay no fix". :D I know what happend timeline wise. For the foxing I am sorry again but I really just got triggered by your first statement ! :D [have to ask some native english speakers if its me beeing retarded or if "please once and for all" is really a little r00d.] I know it sometimes locks weird stuff but I tbh think its not the same bug. One would have to do testing for that. Maybee I will do that latorz and write a propper bug report. CCM locking something you would not expect is pretty sparse info. 'Nother pro tip: :pirate: lock one guy, switch TWS, if they at least roughly within the same scan volume that should help. And I didnt have problems with CCM anymore locking stuff that is really far from the thing I am actually trying to lock. :) Really wasnt trying to be rood ! :D
-
We will get them with the new caucasus map at best. Because current caucasus is old standard. Also having an entire Airfield is much more luxury then just a road to land on ! :D

Honestly silly question, I mean no Developer or programmer ever is looking for a temporary fix, unless his bos is pushing him to. I do not think that Razbam is that big that theese issues happen. If you have friendlies that close you do not fire fox2 anyway and fox1 wont work either. So guns it is and that also works without radar just fine. Handicapping is a pretty strong exageration. Create a bug report for it and he will for sure will take care of it. Zeus allways has. Unlike ED which is ignoring su27 and f15 ignoring craters for more then 1,5 months now.
-
That can be due to notch. But I agree that CCM is sometimes is locking outside its scan volume.
-
How about lets simply wait for the reworked DM which is going to hit with either the ED spit or 2.5. Afaik the ED spit ? Maybee Razbam is exactly doing that but doesnt want to tie themselves to "we will rework with new DM" ? I dunno pretty speculative. Will test in no lag, no maneuvering enviroment what kind of damge which misslez do. I have a feeling something with MP protocoll and maneuvering messes it up. But yes there is something fishy. I do not argue with that. I am just not even sure if its a basic DCS issue or a Mirage DM issue. Or both.
-
ehehe :D Would the roadbase thingy possible though ? :music_whistling: I would also be fine with just an EWR and one of the command bunkers which are mostly under the surface, so its actually quite stealthy :D No needs for defenses and stuff. :D
-
Dunno why you quoted that post, but I guess you meant my question about road bases and Viggen ? Planes can be refueled/rearmed and repaired by FARPs technically, since they hold all the supplies. You just have to be close enough. So if some logistics units got moved closer to some roads at some farps that would be enough already. Spawning probably is not an option until we get placable aitstrips. But getting rearms/refuels from some FARPs would be very cool already. Or just FARPs with no helos spawning there, so its just a forward refueling/rearming point for planes and helos.

ehehehhe *controlled flight into terrain*

A meme is simply not what you just said. From le wikipedia: "A meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem)[1] is "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture".[2] A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes in that they self-replicate, mutate, and respond to selective pressures.[3]" I really ddint intend to make fun of you. Ridiculing your opponent is one tactic, but honestly I hate that and I try not to do it. I pointed my finger at you when frostie said everyone knows what I showed. Because literally you were the reason thats nothing bad. There is for sure more people who didnt know that things play out the way they do, so I guess it was good there was a reason. I did also think IRST was at least a bit better then it is. Its beyond me how a IRST installation is not much better then a freaggin fox2 seeker. I would not have expected any contacts beyond 5-10 miles but the 3-5 miles it is is something I didnt expect either. Honestly as long as there is no high end SAMs at airfields I am so fine with all the markers we have right now. Blueflag should stay open to everyone imho. That doesnt say that I would not shout at people not having read SOP, but I would like to keep it as it is.Team/squad based blueflag would be a place for full hardcore imho. Blue flag is nothing hardcore imho. Its a teamplay server, nothing in terms of hardcore realism. Hardcore realism imho is a mission, a briefing 1 attempt, done. Not dynamic moving frontline with static targets and helos that deploy sa6s. And I love blueflag for what it is.

Not doing intentionally so. You said "if it's in the air, it will be detected on radar. Speed of the helicopter doesn't matter.". That is obviously wrong. Thats everything I wanted out of the way You are the first person I meet who said memez are rude. [And I didnt even go full ubermemelord, not even slightest amount of memez was used.] I mean two more weeks is a meme. Is that rude ?

Nothing to see here, move along !

If le advisary isnt completely retarded yes you are completely right. I just want to remind everyone of the mirage life in DCS. ;D Thing is the Mirage also has good instant and bleeds speed pretty bad. But thanks to deltas having quite stable airflow even at high AOA you do not loose as much turn performance at lower speed in comparison to an f15 for example, since you can trade huge induced drag for the lift but you can keep doing that in full burner, if the enemy does go with you there. The more limiting factor here will probably be the RM8a AOA acceptance. But overall, yes, Viggen is a strike plane, aim9 is for self defense. But as we see with a10c vs high end 4th gen, pilot skill is everything... ;D

Well I did it mostly for Bodyorgan since he pretty obviously didnt know it. I saw your post earlier but bodyorgan didnt believe that either it seems :D. I get what you are saying, and I get that makes sense for most redfor airfields. I never said or meant to say at least, that its impossible for bluefor planes to spot helos. I just was very much confused and motivated to get that "speed doesnt matter" out of the way. Problem on bluefor often is, that GCI spots helos very late since Airfields like Sochi, Gudata, tblisi have so much terrain so close that a helo can pretty much hide just by terrain very easily until he gets into firing position. So our GCI often gets eyes on helos never or pretty late, when they are already not traveling anymore so its kinda troublesome to find them on radar. In that situation I would expect the IRST to be a better option then then seeker and Radar. Thats all I meant. Nothing else ! :) But as said, I do not want to complain at all. I just wanted to illustrate that the statement that the velocity didnt matter, was wrong. :)

Did check with le flanker radar and IRST against uh1 and sa342. Flanker radar performed pretty much exactly as the Mirage Radar. IRST was a little bit better then magic2 seeker which honestly surprised me, would have thought a stationary system would have been better then one you throw away each time you fire a missile.

So here, for the memez. A DCS propaganda radar Release 1440p should be up soon, then you can read the labels as well. Magic picked up the ka50 pretty much ar 3.2nm. m2k uses DCS standard Radar model, su27 and F15 might have longer detection range against the 80kph one but it will work the same way conceptually. Unless fancy magic happend. But I guess I did prove what I wanted to prove. :) Hope it halps.
