I don't fixate on measurement like you seem to. I just take off in 2.1 in VR and it looks and feels right. It's playable and I'm not wasting my time.

I can no problem, as most seem to be able to, but some (small number) complain. It's almost like they haven't worked out that you can lean in a bit closer if you have to. Anyway, I can fight the A10C in VR without compromise.

I'm only flying the A10C, setting are the VR default with a bit of tweaking. To say 2.1 is unplayable and not even with trying is completely misleading.

I'm getting great performance in 2.1 so I don't know what you're doing wrong. I get only a little side view stutter when flying over the Las Vagas strip at low level. And that's with a 980ti.

Exactly. I think what we have here is someone who has optimised everything and ended up with super senses. This is the mentality of your super serious sim fan where performance trumps any attempt to simulate reality. But ultimately all he is doing is simulating drone flying. Yeah, so if you're a frustrated drone pilot than get a 4K monitor. But if you're interested in actually sitting in the hot seat, get VR yesterday.

Don't forget the JetSeat, it makes the whole thing come alive, especially when you BRRRRRRRRRRT :)

I think not. Zooming would change the FOV. Moving the head fore and aft didn't change the FOV therefore you are not zooming.

I doubt DCS is wrong. It's most likely problems with IPD settings in individual setups. What DCS needs is a world scale slider like in Project Cars.

Have you adjusted the seat height?

You should be fine, but make sure you have good RAM and run DCS from an SSD.
