  1. Tell that to the Kamov engineers. AFAIK there's no way to disable it.
  2. Your computer will have a very tough time with this sim, unfortunately. Both your videocard and your CPU are quite underpowered by today's standards. If I were you, I think I'd hold off on the purchase until a comprehensive hardware upgrade was possible.

  4. No, as indicated in the manual, the bubble is a sideslip indicator with the same function that it would have in any fixed wing aircraft. I'm not sure what exactly your problem might be, Frederf, perhaps you could post a track illustrating this?
  5. Yes, for stable forward flight, the diamond should be in the upper left.
  6. This is false. The fact that you can sometimes use the mouse for both clicking and view panning is a bug. It is intended to work by switching between the two modes.
  7. That's where the rudder input comes in. By keeping the sideslip indicator centered, you're converting the horizontal slip into a heading change.
  8. It looks like your aspect ratio is way off...you should change the in game resolution to your monitor's native resolution.
  9. Post a track of one of your attempts, then we can give you some specific advice :).
  10. What is your texture setting in game? When running on high textures, the cockpit is already fairly high resolution.

  12. Both of those functions are accomplished by hitting the blue Reset button on the weapons system control panel on the left side of the cockpit. It's just to the right of the four blue buttons labeled "Ground Moving Target", "Auto Turn to Target", etc.
  13. Here's how to send your wingy to a location without giving him a target: 1. uncage shkval, target & lase the desired point on the ground 2. select the desired wingman on the datalink panel (DO NOT first select the target type as you would to send an ingress point) 3. press send 4. tell the wingman to go to the datalink designated target I've tried this and it works perfectly. Basically, it's the same as sending a normal ingress point, except you skip the step of selecting the target type.
  14. In real life, it's "must" as in "mandatory".
  15. I believe the 8800 should actually outperform the 9500. The 9500 is not really intended for gaming.
  16. No. When the mouse cursor is engaged, the mousewheel is used to turn knobs.
  17. Not just overspeed, but overspeed combined with too much pull on the collective. Pulling the collective will slow down the rotor blades, which decrease the centrifugal force on the blades that keeps them from flapping up. Therefore, when you're at high speed and need to climb, much better to just pull back on the cyclic. Sounds like a problem with your joystick.
  18. For the "Deployment" campaign, all the voices will be in Russian. English speech is not available. However, ATC and wingman communications should be in english.
  19. Then, try to make your missions a bit more dynamic? The new trigger system allows for a given mission to turn out differently on every play through, if you design it so.
  20. I think I lost you there...neither Flashpoint nor ArmA have a dynamic campaign.
  21. Yes, there are a couple of ways of doing this with the data link. Watch Producer's Note #9, or read the section of the manual specifically dedicated to this.
  22. It's pretty much the same process as attacking a ground target, except that, as you noticed, getting a lock with the Shkval is quite a bit more difficult. As far as I know there's no trick to it, however; just adjust the gate size properly and keep hitting the lock button. It's not supposed to be easy, the aircraft was not built for air to air!
  23. I would advise waiting for the official printed manual release, for the above reason, and especially because the printed manual will have extra content that the current PDF lacks.
  24. That appears to be from ArmA, or Armed Assault, an infantry simulation. AFAIK Black Shark features a modest bit of volumetric lighting; burning hulks will light up the ground around them in the dark. Furthermore, the lights on your aircraft will light up objects in the world.
  25. Your wingmates will differentiate between the three types of data link targets: armored vehicles, SAM/AAA threats, and other targets.
