Totally academic but vulture is right it is no contest you just attack from the vertical and gun him down. Its the same as attacking a Helo. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

+1 Cyrillic labels look great, I would have selected the labels if it had been an option. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Redtail it feels about right to me. Tho obviously it depends on how low you are flying , at 250ft irl there is not a lot of ground rushing by at 100ft its getting there but this was at 420kts fwiw. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Cocky pilot battle stories (mock engagements)
WindyTX replied to Pilotasso's topic in Military and Aviation
He was one of my instructors on the OCU, very humble guy, I am sure its all gospel, he did get some crap from the boss for reversing the F3 after he misses his parking slot in Cyprus [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk -

Steam user’s vs longtime supporters… not fair!
WindyTX replied to Xanix's topic in Payment and Activation
Its wrong Fri because the line has to be drawn somewhere "close friends " how are ED to know that ? You have an account it can be used on a couple of machines as stated just not at the same time. It all seems perfectly fair to me and unless your PC crashes twice in one month after you have burned through all your activations its a non issue. If you want an F18 , F14 and a Harrier then we need DRM so that ED gets paid and can continue to pay its programmers. Steam is in effect the same as you can only play on one computer at a time. Ok tbh I think we need to have some realistic expectations, if you take the example of a 2v2 visual merge, the pilot takes the radar and uses it to try and get an earlier shot on his target meanwhile the Rio is monitoring the second fight and will warn you if you are threatened or if you may have a shot opportunity into the other fight. This is what a real Rio does as the second fight comes into view he will tell the target is the high guy coming into view, I have even known a really good one grab u a lock as the second fight come to the nose for a fox 1 while you still fight. Anyway a Rio is a busy chap and programming it would be a nightmare personally I am happy with some Jester SOPs, but if you think it is a simple programing job dream on. I believe if you run out they will give you one every 30 days. I run a setup at home and a setup on the road on my laptop and have never run into any problems whatsoever , my Flanking Cliffs only has 5 left but even so I dont see it as a problem. Even the Mig21bis debarcle was not that big a deal. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk -
There are a lot of threads with setups for the rift. Make sure textures aee to high. A pd of 1.5 should be fine. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Would be nice if you could pre program Jester with a default sort and shot range so I dont have to mess with him on the way in. Maybe have a couple of pre-program SOP runs so I can just hit a hot key for Left side or right and Fighter or Bomber target. Then in 2 button presses a lot of it is done and can concentrate on my wingman and the attack. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Fri's views are his and he is entitled to it, however, from a Pilots point of view while there are some limitations with current resolution the point remains, do you want to experience the feel of flying or be top of the A2A table. If you want to know what its like to actually fly a fighter, then DCS VR is as close are you are gonna get without signing on the dotted line. If you know how to run your radar and coordinate with a wingman then you can actually still be at the top of the A2A ladder, remember the motto dont get into a fight you dont know you are gonna win [emoji16][emoji16]. The HUD is completely clear in NVGs they work together flawlessly but I can understand keeping the repeater near the Radar so you get an easy to read head down instrument while using the Radar. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Personally I hope if they do come back that they are optional , they are unrealistic and annoying IMO. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Its the price of a semi decent bottle of wine ( of which I get through a lot ) so yes you are crazy lol. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I had the remote fix today as I messed up my Stick with a windows calibration. The engineer told me that the software was gonna be released very soon. The brake lever sure does make the L39 easy to taxy, compared to the button brake. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I think the difference between the A and B will be insignificant compared to stepping from a Single seat Aircraft to a 2 crew operation. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Ok fwiw if you have an instructor then the l39 is worth its weight in gold, if not then it is simply not worth it. On the 16AGR we use the L39 for teaching General Handling and Formation , both close and Combat Spread, where we can use the backseat for the instructor and make teaching a lot quicker. It makes the whole process way quicker and relatively painless. ( the odd mid air not withstanding ). If you are not going to fly multicrew then the A10c is actually easier to operate and has a lot more depth for you to get into once you have the basics done. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

No it was a C130 with the center basket, I was on the F3 at the time and they deployed it to the Falklands when the VC10 was having problems. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Realistic is a bit of a miss as our sticks dont work in a realistic way. Now I use the medium spring and the 2 dot soft center cam its pretty much good for everything and this is how they now ship . I do use a rather long 30cm extension. The center force can be adjusted on the fly, I have it set so its enough to just center the stick if I relax my grip so the Aircraft will track once trimmed. For Helo flying it is soft enough not to upset a transition through center. WW2 I use the same settings , for me fixed wing is fixed wing. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
