What mod gets you the nice tv view?

Will test and let you know...the adapter I ordered is specific for joysticks. So here's hoping. Otherwise I'll look for more sidewinders.

Took down four KA-50's with gun and rockets (well one rocket)

It depends on the code. I just received one of the two sidewinders we'll be using for testing, but it's the serial cable version so ordered a usb adapter for it. Once I have it up and running I'm sending it to our main coder who's working on getting the FFB coded. I have another second one coming for me to use for testing as well. I'm not familiar with what the KA-50 has right now, but when I get my sidewinder I'll test out it's use with the current helicopters and see what we can implement.

Video isn't working. Can you link it again? As for the controls....do a youtube search for BBC flying soldier. Start at episode two...you'll see how sensitive the controls are.

Can you go into control settings to confirm rshift-p is mapped to show pilot body. Maybe it got zapped by accident.

The SA-342L with have the gun and rocket combo. The SA-342M will have the HOT3. They are going to be seperate aircraft to choice from in the mission editor.

i7-4700k, 16g 1866 mhz ram, EVGA GTX 980, and ssd hard drives. The oculus rift CV1 requires a good CPU (which you have), 16 g of ram, and a GTX 970 or better. So you need more RAM and a better graphics card. I'd wait a little since the 1080 graphic cards are hitting the market it should make the 980ti drop a bit in price.

So french military personnel are allowed the occasional wine breaks. So the pilot might be missing to consume the proper amount of wine. But in the meantime..... Go into the Misc settings and make sure the setting for show pilot body when available is checked. i only have 2.0.2 on my laptop right now, but the screen should be similar in 1.5.3 Open Beta

I always find that when I fly with the TrackIR I can get pretty low and crazy and not die. Both in helicopters and airplanes. But if I fly with the oculus rift (which makes things a tad more realistic) I fly a lot more conservative. My brain thinks I'm in actual danger when I try to fly that low and instinctively pull back to raise higher. It's taken me several hours to be able to fly low and crazy with the oculus rift.

So at Polychop our goal is realism. We aim to model the Sa-342 to behave just like the real deal. We work very hard at this and are constantly working with real pilots and real world advisors to ensure that our model is always as realistic as possible. But I has understand having odd behaving controls as well. My Saitek X65F would occasionally get what I called "ghost movements" which was pretty much right or left stick full. Normally it lasted for a spit second and then went away so wasn't too had to deal with. But I remember one time I flew the F-15 and somehow lost one wing....I was doing a pretty decent job of keeping the bird flying until this ghost movement happen and I crashed. So what I would suggest is trying to set your saturation down if possible at first to make it work. The other suggestion would be to request the feature in the enhancement thread. While we can't guarantee everything on the enhancement thread will get added - it will at least be looked at an evaluated.

Real choppers doesn't have springs that return the cyclic to the center. So the current modeled method is realistic. But if you'd like us to add a feature, add it to the enhancement thread and we'll look into it.

What kind did you get? Last couple years I started getting in airsoft so I could shoot more often, and teach my daughters how to shoot as well. I enjoy it quite a bit, and twice a month there is a paintball place close to me that does an all day airsoft event...so lots of fun.

We're working with ED to fix that. Its something we can't change on our side...

Yeah I never had any issues with he EVGA GTS 980. Always been a great card and been able to play most of my games on all high. So I highly doubt its the card.

Yep, moved it to where the HOT3 panel was.

Posted on EVGA forums about it...see if they have a cure. I did the unplug and re-plug while working with the support guy (while he was still emailing). Seems like its connected well. It gets the orange light when plugged into USB power....so I'm assuming something is connected to turn that on.

Yeah I have the evga GeForce gtx 980. Never had any issues with it and loved it so far. Seems like even the 980 ti are having the black issue as well. So wonder if I should check the evga forums as well.
