    DK2?

I'll be out of the country, so will have to wait until I get back. But will be nice to have backup video card in case runtime has issues with the 980.

    DK2?

For 200 bucks i'll pick one up for my backup machine. When are they going to be made available?

    DK2?

That would make sense...it probably didn't get to my machine until the weekend (since I don't keep it on unless I'm flying). So assuming the next time I booted it up it upgraded it - that would fall into when the issues started. Seems like even people on that thread were starting to report the issue. Btw, have you seen this: [ame] [/ame] AMD is saying they are going to make a VR capable video card for 200.

    DK2?

I've wiped that folder so many times in uninstalling and re-installing it there isn't anything there anymore. But yeah, would be nice to kill that auto-update feature. Do you know where the changelogs for the runtime? Interested to see when the last one was released.
  5. Yeah light chopper require light touches. Takes a bit to get used to, but she's worth it.
  6. Looking amazing!

    DK2?

I'll just have to wait until they update the runtime with a fix hopefully. Still trying to find how to downgrade to the older runtime. Might do a deeper search after work.

    DK2?

I have that second adapter that is HDMI->DVI. But the first one I had a different version of it. At this point not sure if I should try another adapter. So since the 980s seem to be having issues, is there any comparable graphics card you can recommend to replace it with? While not happy about having to replace the graphics card, I need something that will work. My criteria is to replace 80% of my computer every two years (cpu, motherboard, graphic card)....I've already spent quite a bit on on getting the machine ready for VR. I still suspect it's something in the runtime version....just from a programmers perspective. Would love to figure how how to roll it back to an older version to verify my hunch.

    DK2?

With the DK2 just tried HDMI...and without the runtime it works as you can see the desktop. For the CV1 I tried HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI....you can read my whole woes on this thread: https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/37425/black-screen-on-oculus-rift-cv1 The more testing I do the more I'm leaning towards a issue with the latest runtime and the 980 series cards.

    DK2?

Can you check your runtime version? My oculus home detects it ok, but nothing displays on it. I'm beginning to suspect the runtime is messing with my graphic card.

    DK2?

So my CV1 is giving me a black screen so I'm working with support and forums to hopefully fix that. So in the meantime, I figured I'd go back to flying with the DK2. But since the Oculus Home has been out, not sure how to get the DK2 working again. Anyone know what runtime I need to get to make it work? I want to use it to fly in DCS already....I need my VR fix.
  12. Did you update your 1.5.3? If so...your welcome.
  13. Can you fill out the bug report template found at: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2780295&postcount=1 and copy and paste it here with the information. Thanks.
  14. You can see the Hello Kitty in it's wonderful glory in this video I recently made: Joey45 did an amazing job and hopefully he'll add it to the User Files sometime soon.
  15. Every time you blow out your engine you own your crew chief a case of beer. So be mindful of your engine!
  16. Great read...even though it was pretty bad translation the pictures where awesome. Those tigers look awesome too.
  17. It's a known bug and we already testing a fix for it. I had the fun task of testing landings and shutoff on different types of surfaces. Lets just my landing skills have improved quite a bit.
  18. Thats already done in the next update. Basically it'll still use the rshift-p but it cycles through no pilot but commander, no pilot and commander, pilot and no commander.
  19. I think the issue is that there is lack of FFB joystick maker out there. Really the two choices are Logitech 940 (which is 500 bucks so it aint cheap) and the Microsoft Sidewinder, which isn't even sold anymore so you have to buy used. It just happens that in heli's the FFB works really nicely and there are more users of it. But again, it depends on getting one of those joysticks in order to code and test.
  20. It's higher on our list of things to work on. I've been working on getting Microsoft Sidewinder with force feedback to test with. I've ordered two and as soon as when they arrive we can start working on it. So sooner rather then later...but probably with be a month or two.
  21. One moistures the eye of the commander since he can't blink. The second turns on the ventilation system to defuse his flauntence. In all seriousness the switches where there in the model that we made the 3d model from. I've asked around and different units add functions to their helicopters. So you get some switches which aren't standard in most versions. I'll keep asking and see if I can find what these two particular ones do though.
  22. Good to hear.
  23. So I just watched like 4 episodes of that series and I'm surprised I can fly her at all. Those guys get 11 hours to learn how to solo her...took me a lot longer then that and I'm still pretty crappy at landings.
  24. grab the template from: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2780295&postcount=1 And copy and paste it into here with all the information. We need to know if which version your were in and a little more information. Thanks.
  25. Please copy and paste the template form this post and fill out the information: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2780295&postcount=1 But keep in mind the rotor brake is a brake...so you have to wait until RPM is low enough to use it. For shutdown procedures you shut off fuel flow and wait for rpm to get low enough to apply the brake.
