  1. I find VR flights a lot more physical because you have to move your body to look behind you in many aircraft. It's a lot more realistic as well. Since you say when you looked away from the cockpit, an alarm went off you missed. I think I may have found the video of the Vegas flight I did....will see if I can get permission to release it.
  2. From a physiological perspective, I think Hello Kitty would be more effective. Ground forces and AAA would do a double take when seeing it - providing the Gazelle crucial time to get closer to the target and in firing range. Then again...sharks with lasers...nothing is scarier then a shark with a laser man.
  3. Indeed correct. Remember it's a lightweight helicopter. The commander had to go no a special diet to lose 10 pounds just so we can load 4 mistrals on the heli and get off the ground.
  4. Wanted to share some quick testing videos we've made while working hard! Here's a teaser of the Mistral version....will make a longer one this weekend when I get a chance. Here's another of us landing on the grass and sliding. Making sure the Gazelle doesn't explode.
  5. Sometimes if you don't tip your crew chief nicely or don't notice his/her latest hair cut, they loosen the bolts holding the tail. Would be cool if we can have those vehicles without having a FARP around and be able to land next to them and refuel and rearm.
  6. I have the Gametrex 980 game chair so when I hit the vortex, I get a tactical feedback and can react (as I'm sure a real pilot would as well). Basically push the cyclic forward a bit and collective up to get back to nuetral climb.
  7. I will happily test again tonight. But I just watched several videos from a couple of our testers slide landing on grass both slow and fast. So if your still having issues, delete you Gazelle folder in mods and run repair.
  8. It was fixed in the 1.5.4 versions. But if your flying the 2.0.2 version I don't think it's been updated just yet.
  9. Took the weapons for a quick spin tonight...overall I'm pretty impressed. Milan Firing Love the added touch of the wings opening....really great detail Malyutka with Hello Kitty Skin Another firing with the 355th Skins
  10. Well, I didn't puke on the flight - but was prepared for it just in case. Because I keep the fan on me when I fly in VR, I find that helps keep the nuisa down quite a bit. Only times I've come close to puking was when playing games on VR that weren't really designed for VR but made to work on it, like GTA 5.
  11. Ok ok...I'll give you one. So I just started working for polychop and was learning the ways of the code. Lots of different things you need to learn in order to code modules. So after one lesson Pat, our main coder, asked me if I wanted to fly the Gazelle. I said sure, would love to. Keep in mind this was around February. So I got the Gazelle for Nevada back then and started learning to fly her. As many of you found out, she's a bit on the agile side. So I found myself flying very crazyingly around Las Vegas structures. A thought then occurred to me - this would be super scary in VR. This was back in the DK2 days mind you. So I get things all setup. I also decided record the flight for the Polychop guys to show them the coolness of the DK2. Keep in mind this would also be my first experience in VR with the Gazelle.....so I start it all up. The first thing I remember is looking around the cockpit and thinking how small everything is. The Commander was right next to me and making me feel very uncomftable. I joke around that I could smell his bad body odor. I also remember discovering things in the cockpit I hadn't seen before - like the thermometer and the fuel gauge at the top of the cockpit. Then the flight started..... Now I get motion sickness in cars easily, so I had a bag set aside just in case. I also has a fan on me to provide fresh air. As soon as the Gazelle took off, my mind tricked my body into beleiving it was real. My flight was really crazy around Vegas and at some point, I might have even rolled her...the whole time, my body was thinking it was real. It was scary, terrifying, and the most exhilarating thing all at the same time. So there....a VR story. If I can find the original video of it I'll see if I can post it.
  12. I have so many I wouldn't know where to start.....
  13. In the latest version on 1.5.4 the square doesn't check the distance as a requirement, so you should be ok. The HOT3 though is designed to explode at 4300 if it hasn't impacted yet, wonder how these missiles will work with that. Love the fact the community makes stuff like this personally. Keep up the great work guys....now can we get some Sharks with lasers on them?
  14. Very cool...will have to test it out.
  15. Welcome to the Gazelle club!
  16. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to have vehicles reload helicopters.
  17. Great to hear!
  18. All of this is on open beta right? Either way I'll look into this.
  19. Was the commander alive when you fired the HOT3 missiles?
  20. Currently only on 1.5.4
  21. They've been implemented since the M version. Make sure you activate them on the flare dispenser box (close to pilots left foot) and then make sure the dispense cover on the collective is lifted. Then, when needed, press the dispense button on the collective and flares you'll be launching.
  22. Common problem. The HOT3 Missile is fired by the commanders left joystick. But the guns/rockets are fired by the pilots cyclic stick trigger. Different buttons all together.
  23. Will watch it when I get back from Vacation (currently in the Middle East doing some diving and snorkeling...jealous?). Also trying to find a four year old to replicate the issue....not so easy to do without getting added to some government list. Worst case, I'll have my seven year old daughter try to replicate it.
  24. Please fill out the template mentioned in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2780295&postcount=1 That way we can try to replicate the situation and look into the issue.
  25. Cool, will check it out when I'm back in town. UR is a really cool add-on that adds realism to the sim which I really appreciate.
