  1. F-14A of 70's Vs F-14A of 90's Vs F-14A Iranian I mean if they get around to the Iranian cat you’ll get your early A. Give it a US reskin and you’re set.
  2. I'm not sure what the purpose of this thread is... Heatblur has already told us what they've decided to model, why are we voting after the fact?
  3. Belsimtek/ED are doing an F-4E, no one is tackling a Navy/Marines plane.
  4. This could be the larger systemic change Cobra was talking about. Might be that the next FM update was thought to be a simple fix but revealed a deeper problem that's going to take more time to get right. Just guessing though...
  5. As discussed here, the starboard nozzle should be closed and the port nozzle should be open under the following conditions: 1. Starboard engine shutdown 2. Hydraulic transfer pump secured 3. Flight hydraulic pressure reaches 0 4. Port engine shutdown Also looks like this behavior was common to both TF30 and F110 engines. Source
  6. Alright, well it looks like we got a bug, then.
  7. If all your panel switches are good you may need to hit the NWS button on the stick.
  8. Do we know that we can't replicate the behavior right now? The link I posted sounds like it's referring to testing the hydraulic transfer pump after starboard engine shutdown.
  9. It's because of a shutdown step the real pilots did after shutting down the first engine but before the second, related to testing the hydraulic circuits. http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-engine.htm
  10. Rio control over both seats was a historical feature of the aircraft. Don’t like it? Don’t use it.
  11. Personally I’ve been trying to remind myself to have him arm for both. Never had Jester eject on me so far, even with a missing wing, but I buy into the Navy’s logic that the pilot would be too attached to the plane to bail while he still can. Yup, that’s me... Also try the pilot radar modes, PAL does a good job if you're pointed in the target's general direction.
  13. edit:refresh page before posting...
  14. Exactly, if 0 is your nose on a compass then 355 is to your left and 005 is to your right. Sounds like relative bearing to me.
  15. I thought only the big guns on the ships did that... Like AEGIS tracking the 5-inch rounds.
  16. Cougar, we're running on fumes man...
  17. This has been the most helpful advice in my learning the cat. It takes a bit to get a feel for heavy buffet vs moderate but once mastered it's more intuitive than trying to eyeball the AoA meter.
  18. Fair. It'd be nice to have the option, though.
  19. Just seems weird learning to fly the bird in the Caucasus region, especially since Topgun has been in Nevada since 1996...
  20. On a related note, are ranges in the gun and sidewinder training missions too close for Jester to be working the radar? I'm having a tough time spotting targets and get no help from Jester until I'm close enough for visual call outs.
  21. Seems a little late in development to start griping about that now.
  22. Side note, it’s not white smoke. That’s steam from the thermostat. Once you hit 125C it opens to boil off coolant and prevent the temp going any higher. It’ll run for another couple minutes like that but steam is your final warning that you need to deal with temp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I misinterpreted this post as asking whether the module would be updated for 2.5...
  24. That's amazing. I'm assuming those MFDs just have a simple composite video input?
