  1. So the F-16 wins by 0.2 degrees per second? Sounds like the better pilot wins to me...

    updated manual

Super minor request, could we get the cover font matched to Dassault's official page? It's so close already! https://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/defense/customer-support/operational-aircraft/mirage-2000/ https://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/passion/aircraft/military-dassault-aircraft/mirage-iii/
  3. He took them down a while ago during the FM revisions.
  4. I've got a full Virpil kit with T-50CM throttle, T-50CM2 stick base, VFX grip with 100 mm extension and WarBRD pedals. The VFX grip is very cool from a roleplay perspective, trigger 2nd detent is snappy, very solid build overall, just a bit of wiggle in the buttons and it takes a bit of practice to smoothly flip the weapon selector in and out of safe. Using it on a Hog base you won't have the DLC or brake axes though I've heard they still work as buttons. Shipping is gonna suck, both cost and getting it delivered. It'll come via FedEx and you'll need to sign for it. Virpil's customer support is great.
  5. I think that’s why that screen was moved to the right of the VDI in the D. Looks realistic to me.
  6. This was discussed months ago, I believe HB’s going to look into it at some point.
  7. Does that mean EW will finally improve for DCS as a whole?
  8. Isn't this the altimeter we have?
  9. That sounds like a bug to me. As far as I know the only thing that should change when switching to gun with a radar lock is seeing the pipper and I don't see why PD vs P-STT would make a difference.
  10. Related to 1, can we get Jester to call out bingo fuel, too?
  11. From what I've seen of their tutorials it looks like they're often learning what they're trying to teach while recording and asking viewers to shout out in the comments if they've screwed something up. Doesn't exactly convey confident teaching.
  12. But your eyes are meant to see the same thing with slightly different perspectives, not two totally different things at the same time. If an object is red in one eye and blue in the other there's a dissonance that will mess with your head. Likewise, if one eye sees an object the other eye can't see at all there's a similar dissonance. This is the same problem that occurs at the edges of monitors and TVs running 3D, one eye can always see a wider FOV than the other at any given edge. Put another way, imagine you strap together a spotting scope and a rifle scope to make a pair of binoculars, assuming the only difference is one eye sees a reticle and one doesn't. Imagine trying to shoot a target, particularly if the reticle is in front of your non-dominant eye.
  13. Why would a HUD be designed so that only one eye can see some of the information? Seems to me like that would give you a headache...
  14. P-STT or PD-STT? I’ve only done short range practice since Wednesday’s patch but pilot lock-on modes all worked fine.
  15. What triggers those call outs when a wire is caught, though? I haven’t heard them myself and I’ve had some shoddy traps.
  16. ACM questions The button releases countermeasures, yes, but DLC forward/aft controls maneuver flaps under those conditions, too. I forgot about that double function until just now, will have to experiment with it.
  17. Thanks for the update, much appreciated!
  18. Weird, I thought Cobra or Mike said just earlier this week that they wouldn’t be working through the break...
  19. IronMike has said multiple times that work on the Viggen continues but, last I heard, there are more people working on the F-14 due to its massive customer base. That's both why you may not get the Viggen update before Christmas and why the A is going hit early access in the not-too-distant future.
  20. With the Arleigh Burke next up I'm sure they'll make a push for better surface vessel effects.
  21. One question from someone who hasn’t done much hover in the Harrier, is there control augmentation on the puffer jets? Like, does the stick become a rate control or is it pure analog thruster control where one has to counter every input? Thinking back to my time in KSP since it really is spacecraft controls when hovering.
  22. Thanks for the correction Victory205, what effect does SEAM have in that case?
  23. Feedback from Heatblur has only ever been in the interest of realism.
  24. That was an early video, it turned out it wasn’t entirely realistic behavior and was updated. SEAM mode still does the double D search you just don’t see it on the HUD.
  25. Great clip, thanks for that!
