  1. If we could fix this on all aircraft.
  2. I'd like for starters if the lights on airfields at least lit up your aircraft. instead of having your dark mass in a light ring.
  3. So here's my question. When we're talking the external tanks are cat 3, that I get. but does this also apply if there's no fuel in them? Can they still hold on when empty?
  4. -Option to override airfield parking spot placement. (or more options) I want to do as shown in the attached image. -3D editor for fine-tuning (this is a stretch) Everyone else pretty much covers the other things I can think of.

  6. I got this working great for aircraft. it's amazing. however, I can't get it to work on ground units. I removed the engine shutdown check and have it exactly as Hardcard shows above however after the 20 seconds I set before the script is run, the group never spawns. The group I'm testing with is four units with no waypoints. They should just spawn and sit there until killed. Following the destruction of all four, they're supposed to respawn. Also following their destruction if someone had a tip for me that would remove craters/black marks from explosions on their respawn, that would be wonderful.
  7. Liger zero, I'm a bit late to this party however so far your short script has helped me a lot. I'm trying to make a training mission where tankers and things like target drones and whatnot can be respawned after killed. I want to use your code from above but I need to expand it for maybe 10 units. Just trying to figure out how to format that so that the code likes it with the do and end statements. Another question is does this work with ground units and/or static objects? Thanks!
  8. While I'm not truly sure what exactly you're hearing. I have heard from another person I fly with that they're having issues with the radar altimeter alert going off constantly and when it shouldn't. Maybe that's what you're hearing.
  9. IIRC when the hornet was first released we could put a single gbu-24 on the belly station. that is except for it not being usable at the time and subsequently removed. not sure when we'll get it back.
  10. This happened to me a couple of nights ago. mid-flight, in cockpit sound just cut out, thought my game crashed. but the plane was still moving and the sound was still there in f2. odd that it's a sabre specific issue.
  11. I didn't see any updates to the models of the current in-game versions however I did notice that there are now two more in the menu both the F-16A MLU and the F-16C blk50 As opposed to the F-16A and F-16C blk52d that had been in there previously.
  12. XP 11 Has this feature to a degree. the terrain mesh though is a pretty low resolution for the ability to use the entire world. However, I have run into a few runways in XP that are like ski jumps and I go off of a jump at 80kts and end up smashing back down further down the runway. both for landing and takeoff. it makes it very challenging. While I agree that this feature would be awesome in DCS more than it already is. The developers just need to be careful and make sure it's smooth.

  14. I've already read this response on another forum post, So good job sticking to your word on using it everywhere. I'm well aware that we're not getting these things however despite that, much of the community will look at the Wikipedia page or f-16.net under the blk 50 section and see exactly the things I just posted. Unfortunately, unless there is a post by someone like wags containing exact versioning and capabilities (and reference material) of the version we're getting someone will always try to dispute the fact.

While I agree its a great website it counters some of the hot topics and items we're apparently not getting on the viper. so unfortunately unless I'm reading wrong I don't think it will shut everyone up. "The Block 50's have the capability to fire the AIM-120 AMRAAM, the new AGM-65G Maverick missile and the PGU-28/B 20mm cannon round. The Block 50/52 is capable of carrying the new JDAM munition, the AGM-154A/B JSOW and is the first F-16 version to integrate the AGM-84 Harpoon antishipping missile. The AGM-137 TSSAM stand-off attack missile was also foreseen in its weaponry, but subsequently cancelled. The aircraft can launch the Harpoon in line-of-sight, bearing-only, and range/bearing modes. The addition of the Harpoon gives the F-16 a significant standoff range anti-shipping capability, especially when combined with optional 600-gallon fuel tanks." Harpoon JSOW and 600-gallon tanks are all things we're apparently not getting.
  16. Well. I finally figured out my issue. It was the firmware in my router. Not a single clue how that works but after doing a update everything is working again.
  17. I am having an issue I've been trying to wrap my head around for about four hours now with no luck. The issue is when I am hosting a server on my network whether it be the laptop I use to run the dedicated server or my personal PC I'm using to run DCS. when the mission loads I spawn in and wait for my wingman to join (a client) upon him spawning in his plane is visible, however, it does not move. It doesn't even take on physics. just sits there with shocks fully extended. If he closes the canopy I can't see. if he moves I don't see it. yet if he applies a loadout I see it placed onto his jet. After a period of about 5 to 15 minutes, he gets disconnected saying either ping limit exceeded or connection timed out. On his screen everything is working fine, I can move and it all works. (up until the DC) As a sanity measure, we connected to a different server that neither of us was hosting. On that server, we could both see each other fine and there were no issues. So, What's the issue? does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me? Much appreciated!
  18. We should be able to place client aircraft on the carrier just as we can with the static aircraft. it would allow for tons of spawns and choice of parking locations depending on the flight.
  19. An issue that has been present from day one. the four pylons on the belly of the aircraft don't get their launch rails back following rearming. Personally i think that this should be similar to every module. as a not owning player we should see, interact, and use everything the carrier has to offer. full quality textures and all animations. we should be able to spawn in the hanger and be transported to the deck all without issue. For the players who purchased the ship i think they should be offered the positions of lso, captain, and the cat operator. to name a few. Without something along these lines the carrier will be largely useless as its primary focus is aircraft. It would be something that would have an empty deck just driving around in the ocean while players used the nearby carriers that they are segregated to. If it were to be an exclusive thing then they would have been better off making a cruiser or destroyer so that it could actually be crewed fully and server as a complete combat effective vessel.

The Persian gulf map has been out for some time now and while many of the assets we already have in game are time period appropriate, almost none of them have any sort of desert camo. the green tank columns rolling across the desert looks silly and it's inaccurate. Is there a chance that we'll be getting desert schemes any time soon? There has been development picture of the scud in development for some time now. Can we get any sort of update as to when we might get them in-game? Scud hunting was a huge role played by coalition air power in the gulf war and I'm looking forward to being able to incorporate it in some missions. Thanks!
