    WHY?

Seems weird, I haven't noticed this. Try running "Repair DCS World" from your start menu shortcuts, just in case you have some corrupt files (it happens more often than you'd think). Also perhaps change your thread title to something more specific so people can spot it and come help/advise you. "Why?" isn't very helpful (and is also against the forum rules). Hope you get it sorted. Let us know. Edit: attached a pic from my system. Mig-21 with R-3R and R-3S.
  2. Hopefully that won't happen. There's enough vitriol on these forums without providing yet more mechanisms to foster hostility.
  3. ED can stick whatever they like in their EULA (or Terms of Sale). Doesn't necessarily make it legally binding. Depending on your jurisdiction there are such things as "Distance Selling Regulations" and "Consumer Credit Regulations" and indeed "Unfair Contract Terms". It's for the courts to decide what's legally binding. Not a software company, and certainly not their lawyers. In reality your average gamer does not have the resources to challenge a EULA. Their best recourse (again, depending on jurisdiction) is a payment card chargeback, on the basis the product bought does not actually exist (yet), or a complaint to your local consumer/trading standards authority. That said, I do hope most of those demanding refunds are simply venting and have no intention of doing so. It would seem to be impulsive and counter productive to do so. Just be patient. I'm sure this module will be worth waiting for.
  4. Lol it's not a question of honor. It's a question of entitlement. If the guy really wants a refund he has every right to expect one. ED's 'honor' does not supersede consumer rights. Personally I'm happy to wait for release and I have no issue with slipped deadlines - shit happens. But for those few who seem dead keen on getting a refund they should simply go right ahead and request it.
  5. Just raise a support ticket and request it if that's what you really want to do. If you have any issues just take it to your local consumer standards office or whatever you have over there.
  6. Can't agree with earlier poster's comments re. RedKite. His videos explain things clearly and with enough detail to get you going with a particular concept. Where you go next (more detailed YT or manuals etc) is up to you. Check out RedKite's Hornet tutorial/playlist (includes some of Matt Wagner's content too).

    April Fools!

Seems the joke was only available in single player. Was your buddy in MP by any chance? My buddy and I tried yesterday to trigger it on my server and couldn't, but when we both switched to single player we got the slot machine.

    April Fools!

Oh, you're a project manager. Nice. Maybe see if ED are hiring. Developers are allowed to have fun you know. Thanks ED for the chuckle, and the lashings of salt.
  10. Bet you've been itching to post this all quarter. The grown ups all have more pressing things to worry about right now.
  11. Really needed a chuckle today. Thank you.
  12. Raise a support ticket and request a refund.
  13. Have and developers (ED or Heatblur) posted to confirm these are indeed false positives? They're the guys compiling the DLLs so it's preferable to have confirmation from the developers that these alerts can be ignored.
  14. Probably not gonna hear anything from the devs til after the weekend now, which is disappointing. Would really like some assurance from source that this file is safe.
  15. Same here with BitDefender: The file D:\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\bin\WorldGeneral.dll is infected with Gen:Suspicious.Cloud.4.@J8@aSO4W3ki Most likely a false positive but would appreciate a developer response on this please.
  16. Why not? When the Gazelle was playable and had functioning multi crew my buddy could operate the 2nd seat (and much fun was had). But if he wasn't online or wanted to fly on his own I could switch between the seats at will. What's to say it won't be this way in other modules?
  17. S'il vous plaît visitez le forum francophone ici. J'espère que quelqu'un pourra peut-être vous aider. Bonne chance!
  18. Bugger  You're quite right ... it seems inconsistent in the air. I never noticed this previously (sometimes I forget to use the switch and click in-game instead). But yeah, just tested and it's fine on the ground and ... unreliable .. in the air. Sorry for the misleading info. I'll give your lua edits a try (thanks for those).
  19. I just unmapped and re-mapped. Still working the same. Started in the centre position (ALT/HDG) then mapped up. Then down.
  20. I can't think of anything that I might have done. Definitely no profile software or lua mods ... both mappings are in game only.
  21. Yup, I can see from the controls that it shouldn't work ... but it does! Here's a quick and dirty video clip so you can see the switch and the in game response.
  22. Nope, ignore the additional mapping for AP off (JOY_BTN26). With those bindings (JOY_BTN27 and 28 ) the switch is operating in 3 positions. Up = ALT hold, middle = AP OFF, down = ATT hold. I've never used the JOY_BTN26 at all.
  23. Strange. The ALT/ATT Hold switch is working for me out of the box. You got the same mappings?
