  1. The F-117 was revolutionary at the time it was developed. If you're old enough you should remember the Iraqi curtain fire over Bagdad, at the beginning of the Golf War. All the AAA fire didn't hit a single F-117, because radar simply couldn't "see" it. In my opinion that was revolutionary.
  2. I wonder how refueling should work without functioning radios?
  3. In my opinion, yes. I have deactivated SSLR, too.
  4. Maybe you should take a look at your pagefile. See post #65 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=206173&page=7
  5. I'd say they meant their contract with ED about the A-7E is signed and safe. https://flyingironsimulations.com/blogs/news/dcs-a-7e-corsair-ii-by-flyingiron-sims https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4228485&postcount=240

  7. Others have been wondering, too. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4230538&postcount=167
  8. I don't think you have to worry about the WarBRD base. It's the best you can have, in my opinion. I even sold my Gunfighter base because it's much easier to use my TM Warthog and Hornet sticks with the WarBRD. No need to install any adapters, that are almost never available in the VKB shop. :)
  9. Could you name those other modern and modernized sims? I don't know any. At least not with modern aircraft.
  10. This! I don't care who delivers it, as long as the quality is as I expect it to be.
  12. You're absolutely right about the A-4E radar. But the A-4E is for free. So the OP can give it a try, and it won't cost him one cent. :D
  13. Yes. Been looking for it, too.
  15. Just purchased the mini DIN connecting cable from Thrustmaster (http://support.thrustmaster.com) for € 8,93. Very fast and nice support.
  16. Thanks for the link! I'll give it a try. :)
  17. I'm using a TM-Warthog stick with a VPC WarBRD base. I also bought a 50 mm VPC flightstick extension. The problem is, it has a solid connector. I would like to solder a flexible connecting cable, just like the ones in the attached image. Can anyone tell, where I can purchase the plug and jack and what designation of parts I should be looking for? I suppose it's a 5 pin mini DIN connector. Is that correct?
  18. If your absolute priority is ground mapping, try the A-4E mod (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3930806&posted=1#post3930806). But that shouldn't keep you from trying the F/A-18 out.
  19. Wow, FlyingIron is also developing a F-117 Nighthawk! But probably just for X-Plane...
  20. An A-4 would be great. Not too complicated and it was in service all around the world. I know there is a great community mod, but a full module would be even better. What the mod is simply missing is a working radio (no ATC, no AAR, no communication to the wingmen).
  21. I had the same experience with Virpil support. Virpil certainly has high quality products, but their support is absolutely lame. I opened a ticket on January 16th. The answer came on Feburary 22nd. It was just a question about the processing status. Not exactly something Virpil should be proud about...
  22. This! Changes in the core program will often lead to necessary changes in the mods, modules, maps, campains and so on. We have to accept it or stay on the same DCS version for ever. That's evolution. Keep the pace or share the destiny of the dinosaurs. :smartass:
  23. ED, tell us where DCS is going (are we just customers, or friends?) I just have to ask it. What's your title about? Anything more than a leading question? How often do you pay your friends for a service? How can a company survive with friends and without customers? You can't be serious.
  24. There is more than a discord channel: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=227482 :)
