Well, it works and if it is OK for you, that is just perfect. For those with less skills and more $$$ take a look at this: https://www.buddy-fox.com/

NOW AVAILABLE: Community A-4E-C Mod

That's great news! Particularly with carrier landings the ECM panel was only annoying. Are you planning to implement the ECM functionality at a later date? Do we need a pod or is the ECM electronics installed in the hump? You guys are doing a great job. Since the release of your mod I'm flying it more often then the A-10C and the F/A-18C. It's just fun flying the A-4E!!! -

Thank you SkateZilla for pinning this mod! The A-4E and MB-339 are quite outstanding in their quality. -
+1. These two mods are really high quality work. They have a custom clickable cockpit, beautyful external models and lots of working systems onoard. They should absolutely have a sticky in the "Mods and Apps" subforum.

[A-4E Community Mod] - Guides And Tutorials Only
norbot replied to Saab-FAN's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
When using the onboard guns I make almost no damage to enemy vehicles. Since I strapped two Mk-4 HIPEG under the A-4's wings it's a charm. Just try it out. :) -

Download the file "A-4E-C v1011 (HotfixPreApplied).zip" and unzip it to the folder "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta". That will extract the mod into the folder "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\A-4E-C" automatically. If you don't have an openbeta but the stable version, you can extract it to the DCS folder instead of DSC.openbeta. -

After 3 weeks of flying with the A-4E, I have to say it's just fun. All the integrated systems and weapons are impressive and are better in terms of scope and functionality than in some full module (by that I mean in particular the RADAR, INS, TACAN and AFCS). It's a pity that due to not having access to the SDK, there is no functioning radio - but that's just the way it is. Of course, not everything is perfect so far, but I'm sure the team behind the mod will soon be in control of the remaining issues. For those of you who have the same problem as me, that they hardly hit anything with the gun - strap two Mk-4 HIPEG under your wings. Then it's hell from above. Almost as good as the A-10. :D Thanks again to the team! You have done a really impressive job.:thumbup::thumbup: I'm having a lot of fun with the Community A-4E-C Mod. And a little wish in the end: Make it a full module. I would buy it as a "pre-purchase" or "early access" already. Wouldn't even have to think twice. :smilewink: -

One of many nicknames the A-4 had. -
Did you enable the PG map in the Module Manager -> Installed -> Terrains?

Maybe a considerable amount of money in order to get their permission? I am sure ED has a permission for the F/A-18C from Boeing and I'm quite sure it will not be for free either. -
Maybe your FOV is messed up?

I don't think it's just ED who forbids donations. As much as I know, the community mod has no permission from McDonnell Douglas Corporation (now Boeing) to produce a full module. It's probably a wise decision not to interfere with Boeing's legal department. :music_whistling: -

Take a look at the first post in this thread. It's the last question in the FAQs. -
Slewing the AGM-65F really is a pain in the ass, at the moment. I barely touch the slewing mini-stick on my warthog throttle and the seeker moves around for 90 feet. Slewing speed is much too high. Axis tuning doesn't help at all. Aaah, just read this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3710345&postcount=98. WIP.

No problem with the autopilot here. During flight I switch AFCS to STANDBY, after 30 seconds AFCS to ENGAGE then AFCS to ALT. The autopilot engages, corrects the pitch during a few seconds and then the aircraft holds the barometric altitude I had during activation of ALT. Try to fly level while engaging the autopilot. Maybe your pitch or roll angle was too high? The HSI flag doesn't seem to matter. I had it OFF or set on a waypoint - I always could engage the autopilot.
