I usually engage ground radar with AGM-45A from a distance of 12 - 14 nm. You should know the position of the radar, because of the narrow off-bore viewing angle of the 'Shrike'. Using Nero.ger's RWR mod is quite usefull, else you newer know, if a radar is tracking you or has already fired a missile at you. The one in your picture was used by the Luftwaffe as a target tug. The rear cargo door was replaced by a "glass-dome". As much as I know, they were unarmed.

Exactly! We've got lots of technical problems in DCS that need to be solved, before we think of the pilots being represented in political, racial and gender correctness.

Hi Skunk Cabbage! Just try the A-4E out (one post above your's). You won't regret it. :)

I would suggest downloading the free mod of the A-4E here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=224989 It has a klickable cockpit, a load of weapons (including AGM-45 'Shrike') and it's really fun to fly. You can see in my signature what other aircraft I fly and I must say the A-4E is one of my favorites. Just try it. Won't cost you a dime. You can also find a good manual here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=225016&page=5, post #42. When you feel comfortable with the A-4E you can switch over to the A-10C, but don't do it without a HOTAS system. Else it will drive you nuts. :D If you like it simple, take the A-10A.

The only reasonable thing you could do with hand grenades in a CE II is pulling the pin, leave the grenade in the cockpit and use your parachute. This way you free the world of another ugly plane. :D

Emergency Generator If emergency generator is released in flight (handle beneath the girl's picture), the exterior animation is only a wobbling black disk. Did anyone else try it and had the same wrong animation of the generator's propeller? Works very well. Place a Mys-M1 radar-unit in a group of silkworms and they're lauched as soon as an enemy ship comes close. In my mission it was something like 50 nm. Probably depends on the elevation of the terrain where the radar is positioned.

Just ask yourself where many of the programmers of DCS are coming from (maybe Russia? :music_whistling:). They really shouldn't mess around with their government, if they want to develope anything in the future, I think...

Ich würde dir auch die F-5E empfehlen. Ist noch relativ einfach im Handling und kann sowohl in Luft-Luft als auch eingeschränkt in Luft-Boden Szenarios eingesetzt werden. Zudem sieht sie verdammt schnittig aus. :D

Hab das bisher nur mit der Startplatzzuweisung versucht. Der Hangar, in dem ich am Anfang der Mission starte, ist nach der Rückkehr von der Mission auch wieder offen.
