  1. Yeah, the Rambo feeling is not bad either, but sometimes it's very handy to scream for help and someone can hear you. :smilewink:
  2. This is what Chizh wrote in the newsletter on January 4th: "Our next marquee title from the Eagle Dynamics studio will be the famous F-16C multi-role fighter! An aircraft we’ve long wanted to simulate, we are excited to bring this legendary aircraft to the skies of DCS World. The F-16C is already well into development alongside the F/A-18C, and both aircraft share significant technology that will benefit both. Specifically, we will be offering the F-16CJ Block 50 variant that includes the HARM anti-radar missile and HARM Target System (HTS) pod, laser- and GPS-guided munitions, advanced air-to-air systems like the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) and AIM-9X and AIM-120 air-to-air missiles, data link systems, Sniper targeting pod, AN/APG-68 radar, and other systems." Here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3735513#post3735513. Well, I wouldn't be sad if it were released in 2019, too. :D
  3. Where did you read this? ED said they would work on an F-16 after the F-18 is finished. But I don't remember having read it will be coming this year. Source?
  4. If ED would support these guys, it would be really great, if they would implement the radio communication. It's so sad that this really excellent mod has only radio comms to the ground-crew with the canopy opened. It would be so much more fun, if we could radio with ATC, wingmen, AWACS, (buddy-)tanker and the boat. Wow - I must stop dreaming...
  5. I would try the F-5E. It's quite simple and still capably of air-to-air and limited air-to-ground missions. Training missions are really good (attached in the snapshot below).
  6. The A-4E-C mod should be installed ONLY in the USERS folder ("C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta" if you have the open beta installed or "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS" if you've got the stable version of DCS installed). Don't extract the mod to any other folder. If you already have, delete it from that other folder. And you should of corse use the latest version 1.02. Anything else is outdated. Good luck! :)
  7. Great news! Thank you for your work! It's a really great mod!:thumbup::thumbup:
  8. There already is a radar elevation knob on Debolestis Shapeways Shop here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/N4EHBB3HJ/antenna-elev-knob-for-6mm-shaft-bottom-part?optionId=58978906 Now we would only need the right potentiometer, maybe some circuit-board and a new plate for the left Warthog throttle lever. And some specialist that can do it. :smilewink::music_whistling: And another link here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160114
  9. Hell, yes! It's a real monster! But in our quite small DCS-maps it would be probably as useless as a SR-71.
  10. Well, a radar elevation rotary like in the F-15 would be a great mod for the Warthog throttle, too. Maybe even better than the lever Deltaalphalima1 suggested.
  11. 'Radar elevation project' - looks very interesting. :)
  12. Why shouldn't those grooves be cut in 3 hours? Just land on a carrier a few times and have a look at how often you'll be moving the throttles during that time. The bearing is made of hardened material and the plate probably not. Those grooves will be inside the plate pretty soon if pressure is high enough. And you're right - they should have noticed that during beta testing...
  13. This is an excerpt of what Gospadin wrote on 08.28.2016 here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=173162, post #2: This mod is built with a Simple Flight Model (SFM) and Simple Systems Model (SSM). We have no SDK access, and we are not an official 3rd party developer. As a team, we have no current plans to become one. Individuals on this team may have their own future plans, and that is up to them to discuss or reveal as they choose. The cockpit will be fully clickable, and we intend to model every system we can, within the SSM limitation. We are modeling a late A-4E with the avionics hump. We have no plans to offer an A-4A/B/C/F or non-humped E.
  14. Just push the throttle all the way up and check wether the "PERCENT RPM" comes up to 100%. If it doesn't, you haven't got enough thrust. Then the problem should be in your controller settings.
  15. After seeing your pictures with the worn metal plates, I am glad that I have not ordered the throttle yet. Therefore, I will certainly wait until the layout has been improved by the manufacturer. :noexpression:
  16. That could be your problem. The mod should be installed only in the user-folder, as stated in my previous post. May I ask why you are still using the openalpha instead of the openbeta or stable version?
  17. You just have to make sure it's installed in the folder 'C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Mods\Aircraft\A-4E-C'. Then it should work properly.
  18. You're welcome. :)
  19. Try Wheelyjoe's excellent guide here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=225016&page=5, post #42. Updates should be in Merker's first post here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=224989.
  20. Ammo counter Does the real A-4E have any indication of the remaining number of gun ammunition? That already existed in WWII. I have had some cases of flying to a target on a longer mission and then only have two or three shots left, or sometimes nothing at all. :(
  21. Monetized modules from licensed 3rd party developers have access to the SDK, the guys behind the 'Community A-4E-C mod' not.
  22. As much as I know, you can only radio with the ground crew, as long as the canopy is opened. You can radio with the rest of the menu as long as you are on ground, but you'll never get an answer.
  23. He can't radio with the Stennis if flying with the A-4E (SDK limitation of the mod).
  24. I'm using no curvature or deadzone. Just this: https://deltasimelectronics.com/collections/all to replace the crappy slew sensor.
