I'm also thinking about buying an FSSB R3. But somewhere I have read that the force-sensor is very sensitive to shocks and can be easily damaged. Can anyone confirm this from those who already have an FSSB R3? :huh:

Ich würde dir als CPU eher einen 8600k anstelle des 8400 empfehlen. Hab auch einen und mit dem offenen Multiplikator komme ich locker auf 4600 MHz pro Kern mit Luftkühlung. Zudem ist der 8600k nur ca. 50 € teurer als der 8400 mit seinen nur relativ schlappen 2800 MHz, die sich nicht ohne Weiteres übertakten lassen, da er keinen offenen Multiplikator hat. Ansonsten kann ich nur wiederholen, was die anderen auch gesagt haben: 16 GB RAM sollten es schon sein. :)

I have two installations of DCS on my SSD. One with the stable version 2.5.0 for all the older modules and one with the open beta 2.5.2 - for the F/A-18 and Persian Gulf only. It probably will take a while until the F/A-18 will be available on the stable version and I didn't want to wait that long. :D

The framerate you're going to achieve is highly dependent on the resolution you want to use. In 1080p you will probably have acceptable systemspecs for medium details. If you think about VR forget it. :D The best thing to do, is download DCS World and test the free aircraft (P-51 or Su-25). That should give you an answer to your question, before spending more money on DCS or your system.

'C:\Users\YourUsername\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ScreenShots' is the folder where you will find the screenshots you made while pressing the PRINT key.

The replay-function is really badly bugged. When I watch a recorded track, the first minutes are quite OK, but after 15 - 20 minutes my plane is landing in the sea instead of the carrier. The coordinates are half a mile west to the position I flew during the mission.

Works for me. Just had a cat-start 10 minutes ago. Maybe try recalibrating you throttle?

You should map 'Aircraft rudder left' an 'Aircraft rudder right' on your stick. F/A-18C has nosewheelsteering. It's not a WW2 aircraft that changes direction with the wheelbrakes. When using nosewheelsteering you should also feel the difference between pressed 's' and without. :)

Ich verstehe das Geheule um Early Access Produkte von einigen hier nicht wirklich. Dass das ein Produkt ist, welches noch in der Entwicklung ist, sollte schon "Early Access" selbst suggerieren (wer Probleme mit Englisch hat, kann einen Übersetzer nutzen :smartass:). Und dass der Preis dem des Fertigproduktes entspricht, stimmt auch nur teilweise. Man konnte das F-18 Modul für ca. 4 Wochen um 20 € reduziert erhalten. Wer zu spät kommt, den bestraft das Leben. Also nicht motzen, sondern das nächste Mal die Augen öffnen!

I know you're going to tear me apart, but I think the only good thing about the movie was the soundtrack and the F-14. The plot was very shallow. Fighterpilots with claustrophobia and uncontrolled testosterone. Not even one of those guys would have made it into a fightercockpit in real life... :doh:

I have the force sensing kit built in my throttle. I never missed the push-button it doesn't have. What would one use it for? I never used it on the A-10C.
